Poe was ok in my book:
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”
This is not true so why post it? Why not fact-check yourself? If you need to tell lies and half trues to support your ideology than perhaps you should question your ideology.
The problems in Baltimore had been building up for decades and all it need was a match at the right time to start the fire. If you are so intent on blaming Obama for this then why didn’t all the other previous administration try to take stress off the system so it couldn’t ignite so easily?
You are wrong:
A screenshot appended to the post (taken from the court's records) clearly listed a "Freddie Gray Jr." involved in a civil lawsuit, with Allstate listed as a party to the suit:
However, that case had nothing to do with any automobile accident-derived injuries; rather, it was a lawsuit against a property owner over physiological damage caused by lead-based paint:
There is certainly more than one individual with the name "Freddie Gray" in the state of Maryland, with at least one case in the database involving a divorce that took place while Gray was very young.
I suspect it is the same reason people look at accidents on the Freeway. Morbid curiosity?
If I do business in a high risk area I am going to pay more in insurance and that is a cost of business.
I can’t speak for MLK but if I were a leader in the community I would call for an end to the riots and try to figure out reforms to the police department. It will take time to implement any reforms but I would be happy as long as no one if foot dragging and things are moving in the right direction. Riots seldom solve problems but they can draw attention to problems.
The First Amendment guarantees the right to free speech, and political spending is one form of that protected speech.
Is this not an accurate summation of Citizens United v. FEC ?
"I have a dog that knows more about right and wrong than you do."
Is your dog brighter than a Conservative justice on the Supreme Court?
"Do you feel good about her taking millions from a foreign government while holding the office of SOS?"
Money is speech and of course the SOS is going to "talk" to foreign governments.
No problem I’ll give AmeriCares an extra 100 since I have done so well in the Obama Stock Market…
Iran is a messed-up place and any solution is going to have its fair share of negatives. However to my mind the Iran Deal, if it happens, represent the best tradeoffs available in that region and criticizing the deal without offering a better alternative is useless and dishonest.
What report is that?
You might benefit from reading Krugman’s editorial “Nobody Said That:”in today’s NY Times.
“You see, in a polarized political environment, policy debates always involve more than just the specific issue on the table. They are also clashes of world views. Predictions of debt disaster, a debased dollar, and Obama death spirals reflect the same ideology, and the utter failure of these predictions should inspire major doubts about that ideology.
And there's also a moral issue involved. Refusing to accept responsibility for past errors is a serious character flaw in one's private life. It rises to the level of real wrongdoing when policies that affect millions of lives are at stake.”
Here is the actual wording from Charity Navigator's web-site. I have the site bookmarked as I find it interesting
