"Words to Live By", by Michael T. Bonehead aka Miketabony -
    1. When you are desperate and have absolutely nothing with any merit to say, make stuff up.
    2. If you can't find any real problems, be creative. Reach right into your rectum and fish around until you come up with something derogatory to post.
    3. Never use facts w/o twisting them to suit your purposes.
    4. Whenever possible, just flat-out lie.
    5. When called a liar and a basher, Lie, Lie, Lie.

Miketabony is one of the most transparent, snake-tongued, manipulative AHs to ever post on this MB.
The flat-out bashers/shorts have more integrity than this miketabonehead guy.
Your next buy-in will be painful for you, because you sold-out and turned to bashing way too soon this time, mikeyboy, you phony, fork-tongued piece of bull-droppings...

    Bump....perfect fit for Mikebonehead!

"Capstone Turbine Is Now A Tremendous Bargain Buy"
    Aug 14, 2014 8:45 PM
Capstone Turbine (NASDAQ:CPST) has recently seen its stock price drop from $1.42 on the day of its earnings report on August 7th last week to a low of $1.11 this week. The sell off was due to a revenue miss on delayed turbine shipments, the orders are late and nothing more, the company expects to meet its prior full year guidance. The stock price on Monday had a high of $1.25 but then sold off on a bogus Zacks report that doesn't give a detailed analysis on Capstone and in turn looks to generate page views and followers for Zacks website.

In my opinion, Capstone is now a tremendous bargain and a must buy. I'm a new buyer after riding the prior run up and selling above $2 a share earlier this year. Today I added 300,000 shares at a $1.16, now holding a total of 657,826 shares at an average price of $1.16 that I purchased over the prior two days for a private wealth fund I manage. I get paid on yearly percentage returns for the portfolio and I fully believe Capstone will rally 50% to 100% from current levels before the end of this year.

I spoke with an analyst friend of mine that went over Capstone's balance sheet and he noted the temporary revenue decline issue doesn't change the full year earnings estimate and in turn doesn't justify such a large decline in the stock price. I expect a 20% rebound to the low $1.30's in the very near term as investors realize how undervalued Capstone has now become.

Capstone has had some very large orders this week, that has been over looked by investors. Today's news a follow up order for six C600's at $911,421 each see price sheet, a total of a $5.4 Million dollar impressive order. August 12th this week an order for a C1000 at $1,330,568, and on August 11th this week an order for twenty five C65's priced at $121,694 each, a total of $3,042,350 which reflects about $9.8 Million in orders this week in revenues for the company.

....and they continue to do Better & Better, YEAR AFTER YEAR - Consistently. They've got my vote..........YES to EVERYTHING!!!

When Darren Jamison took over, Capstone had :

    - 17 mil in sales
    - A poor sales distribution network.
    - A limited product line
    - No focus on emerging markets.
    - No ability to purchase parts in quantity to improve margins.
    - losses that make today's losses look like chump change.

DJ has turned Capstone into a global powerhouse in spite of the worst economy of my lifetime. In short, Capstone was in reverse. The previous management had no clue how to turn it around and most of the damage to the company occurred at that time . In order to restart Capstone (from scratch) DJ had to raise more money and now has a solid footing. DJ has stated , (if I recall correctly) that he was not concerned with the share price as his driving goal. His sole aim is to reach profitability and damn the torpedoes.

Some on this board feel that even with the obstacles DJ and his team faced that Capstone should have turned a profit by now. Most of the problems listed above have been corrected and each quarter shows improvement. There are now multiple avenues of income growing in oil, automotive, marine, waste and real estate. Any one of these opportunities can explode into massive orders tomorrow.

  • CHATSWORTH, Calif., Aug. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capstone Turbine Corporation (Nasdaq:CPST), the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, announced today that it recently received a 5.5MW order to upgrade two sports centers in Russia.
BPC Engineering, Capstone's distributor in Russia, secured the order. Following the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, sports complexes throughout Russia began analyzing the effectiveness of their facilities in an effort to reduce operational expenditures. The Sochi Sports Center is the largest in southern Russia and serves as a training base for national and club teams. The Kislovodsk Sports Center is situated 1,240 meters above sea level and serves as a high altitude training complex for Russian athletes.
Both Sochi and Kislovodsk conducted an economic analysis of their operations to identify cost saving opportunities. After a thorough analysis comparing various distributed generation technologies, they both chose Capstone microturbines as their preferred solution for power generation and energy efficiency. Topping the lists of both sports centers' requirements were cost savings, reducing environmental impact, and increasing the overall reliability of the facilities.
Kislovodsk Sports Center and Sochi Sports Center will utilize a combination of C1000s and C65 Capstone microturbines operating in a combined heat and power (CHP) mode. Today the sports centers are using expensive local grid power for their facilities. Now, the centers will rely on the microturbines for base load power with the utility providing peak power. The exhaust heat from the microturbines is captured to provide hot water for space conditioning as well as for showers and laundry.
The Capstone microturbines are dual mode units, meaning they can run in parallel with or operate independently from the utility.

Feel like I just said this the other day (DRL), but...
W/ a significant down trend having already having been established, that candlestick Doji can only mean one thing IMO...
A potentially significant and lasting opposite upward reversal from our trend prior...
Please see, "reading candlestick charts" on YouTube...
Anyways, this should potentially be a very, very good signal.
Don't know about you guys, but I'm jazzed.

The $230 million in backlog tells me there is growing demand for their product and services. The hiring of the new V.P. of operations tells me they will do something to turn the backlog into huge profits. The recent dilution tells me of a need to expand production lines. The increase in buying of shares by institutions tells me that they don't feel the same as you. All just a matter of how you interpret things.

The UTC order was more important

    by what_meee_worry Aug 14, 2014 10:31 AM

In the transcript from Seeking Alpha we learned.
"We also recently received an order from United Technologies' Carrier division for 10 C65s for a hospital in Southern California. This is the first product order from UTC since 2011. So obviously, this is a very positive development."

We know that about a year or so ago, UTC dumped it's unprofitable fuel cell division. Evidently fuel cells did not work out well with the Carrier division which was in the past a strong money maker for UTC. IT looks like Carrier needed reliable generators in this large project. They returned to Capstone for reliable products. Now we know that UTC rebrands the microturbine as a UTC product due to their rights under the assistance they gave in the C200 turbine development. Now it looks like United Tech is back to usine Capstone's turbines in their Carrier products where CHP may be needed. I anticipate future orders for their larger
    projects.

"Turning to the Middle East. We received our first order in Oman from PipeLine Supply Company, our new distributor for Oman and Qatar. Oman is one of the top 20 flaring nations in the world, but it's dedicated to taking steps to eliminate this unnecessary waste of energy and negative environmental impact. Capstone's microturbines were chosen because of their perfect fit in flare-gas-to-power projects. This order is an exciting development as this is the first of what could be potentially hundreds of microturbines installed to help Oman reduce its gas flaring."

"Speaking of improved performance, Ian Wright, the founder of Wrightspeed, who was also involved in the development of Tesla, continues to get traction with his unique electric hybrid vehicle solution utilized in the Capstone product. He's working on finalizing a 25-unit follow-on order from FedEx and a 19-unit order for garbage trucks for a bay area refuse [ph] company."

Bashers keep bashing, but you can't stop Capstone Turbine's continuous, year after year, GROWTH!
The Best Is Yet To Come!

    Big Buy & Hold!
    __________
....and they continue to do Better & Better, YEAR AFTER YEAR - Consistently.

Raffaello Di Martino, Technical Director, CEM Ambiente, Italy - 3/12/2013
Five highly efficient C65 microturbines in a combined head and power (CHP) application power the first-ever installation at an Italian landfill in Italy. "We chose the Capstone microturbines because the production of methane became so low. Classic engines can't run on biogas that contain less than 30 percent methane. We are very happy with the Capstone microturbines because of their low cost, low maintenance, and the benefit to this beautiful area."

Steven Douglas, General Manager, York Wastewater Treatment Plant, USA - 2/22/2013
A Capstone C1000 and C600 operate on natural gas and biogas produced from York's 26 million gallons of sewage each day. "The Capstone microturbines produce 40 percent more power using the same amount of natural gas than our internal combustion engines, that's incredible. The Capstone turbines had some advantages over other manufacturer's turbines, one being that there was no liquid lubricant in the system at all. It was all air cooled, air lubricated, very low maintenance costs. The only thing that we routinely need to check is an air filter, and that's it. The other thing that people don't think about with a wastewater treatment plant is we also have the air to deal with. These microturbines emit so much less air pollution than the engines that we currently run to the point where I may not even have to report to the agency, the DEP, the amount of pollutants — it's going to be negligible."

Alexander Yasyulya, Chief Engineer, Yamarka Shopping Mall, Russia - 8/1/2012
Eleven natural gas-fueled microturbines provide heat and power to the 30,000-square-meter (323,000-square-foot) Yarmarka Shopping Center in Ukhta, Russia. "We analyzed existing products in the distributed generation market and chose Capstone microturbines for several reasons. First: the construction of the shopping mall was performed in stages during several years and microturbines gave us an opportuni
