Wouldn't surprise me if 3/4 of Americans make up the (unemployed +out of work force+low paid PT workers+low paid FT workers.) With "low paid" meaning they go into debt to pay bills.
I agree govt assistance should be more incentivized, meaning we will give you "this' if you do "that", but I don't think these low income people are exactly happy with their situation.
Establish a tax on imports, a tariff. End NAFTA, and TPP bull, which only allows companies to move overseas for cheap labor. Cut off ties with China. If we want to act like we spread democracy in these stupid(IraqLibAfg) wars then why is ChIna, a Communist country, our #1 trading partner. Makes no sense because govt forgos probably trillions of potential tax revenue gone. No prob, they can make more dollars.
Stop all buying now. Shouldn't be spending money that you don't have anyways. If people call this country exceptional, why are jobs going overseas. This country is exceptionally poor propped up on fake dollars, and a industrial-military complex. It is set up for cheap labor in China in hopes(cross your fingers) Americans will buy their goods. Well if companies don't pay, who will buy their goods. In addition, companies want to replace workers with robots. Well good luck with that. Its just self defeating there. And another thing, if these foreigners are so much more highly skilled and valued than the US worker then why are they not getting paid more that a US counterpart? Why aren't the "best and brightest" elevating salaries? Obviously they value lots of salaried overtime work(meaning free labor). They value those that have no options. They value those that are under total corporate submission.
Companies think they smart to get China to build our products. We are China's enemy. Why be dependent on your enemy. They will steal trademarks, and patents andl make their own thanks to US R&D once they are situated and done playing by the "rules". Look at rare earth elements. China could collapse our economy economically. They could send gold soaring just by announcing how much gold they have.
A good company is one that respects, and not uses, its shareholders. The earnings should speak for itself. Go for a Warren Buffett company, or VDE, since energy at a low. I like NMM(dry bulk shipper) since they have committed to paying nice dividends at least to the end of 2016.
Companies should be using cheap oil to build alternative energy facilities. If they wait until oil expensive to build solar infrastructures then it goes against the goal of cheap renewable energy.
How is it that in the latest one month period this went up over 8%, while the dow average dropped over 9%? The last quarter one of the worst. So where is the good news? They do seem to be beating the shareholders down pretty good since they are so good at what they do. Another thing, why doesn't Yahoo or Google show the P/E anymore?
Just wondering, how many CREE shares do you own? What is your rate of return over the past year, and 5 years? Do you work for CREE? Are you a PR person for the company?
If CREE doesn't have any positive activities I'm sure there are plenty of shareholders that want to know why they are down 50%(in spite of share buybacks) in the past year, and what are they going to do about it. to increase their earnings.
A "consensus" looks to be an average of predictions from all the analysts. Click news on google finance. Regardless, I'm sure they do have a turnaround plan, but I cant wait that long. Can the market wait that long with the DOW near record highs and "increased price erosion" and a recalll, and being sold in only ONE retail store?

Analysts on the Street are expecting Cree, Inc. (NASDAQ:CREE) to post an earnings per share number of $-0.16 for the quarter that ends on 2015-06-30. The figure is the consensus from all of the firms that have issued estimates on the company.
Even after stock buy backs they cant keep it from dropping. Most poorly run company.
From a technical chart analyst(which I am not) we are like in 2012 lows so this won't go up until 2016 based on past performance. But this time is different,. Based on macro-economic factors and the Greece crisis, they have head winds, especially considering they have a quite high P/E.
Words from a devoted employee who wants to keep her job who owns no shares of CREE but thinks its a good investment for everyone else.
Don't you just love the double speak, and spin of corporate executives. "Higher LED average selling price erosion" than what had been predicted?--- #$%$! Why are they not able to show(market to customers) that their product demands a higher price than their competitors? Underutilization of Cree's LED factory?--- #$%$ again! Maybe its because customers aren't buying CREE products like they had predicted.
