is it though? if that's the case, it is upsetting. Anyway I bought 300 more shares at 6.50. Currently holding 1600 shares. I didn't mind the drop. A little gut wrenching at first, but I am over it now and feel good about my purchase today.
Agree, it seems there was no cash burn from Q3 to Q4. Only the 11 million in payment to Ghodawat which was expected. We now have a 14 million share float. That's nothing. A large wind order is coming. It was obvious we would need cash, and with only 10 million shares on the market, dilution was the best bet. Kinda sucks though how they did it. Oh well.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
LOL they are about to receive a nice navy contract and large wind order. They need capital to supply what they need. Working capital as they stated.
DEVENS, Mass., April 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AMSC (Nasdaq:AMSC), a global solutions provider serving wind and power grid industry leaders, today provided preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year 2014, ended March 31, 2015.
For the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2014, AMSC expects its revenues will be in the range of $24-$25 million, the upper end of its previously guided range. For the full fiscal year 2014, AMSC expects its revenues to be in the range of $69 to $70 million. In addition, the Company expects to end the fiscal year with approximately $24.5 million of cash, cash equivalents, and restricted cash, which reflects payment made to Ghodawat Energy Pvt Ltd during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2014 in final settlement of their arbitration claim.
During the first half of fiscal 2015, the Company expects to announce:
- A large wind order;
- A new city conducting a deployment study of the Resilient Electric Grid solution; and
- Orders for its D-VAR® system.
In the longer term, the Company expects:
- To receive additional business from the U.S. Navy; and
- Have a decision on the second phase of its Resilient Electric Grid project in Chicago.
"In fiscal year 2014, we put pieces of the business into place to drive sustainable future growth. We believe that through the achievement of items noted, the business will be well positioned on the path towards sustainable positive cash flows," said Daniel P. McGahn, President and CEO, AMSC.
Con Edison was on that list. AMSC partnered with them years ago backed by the DHS to install superconducting cable for Manhattan. Google project hydra, Con Edison and AMSC...I am not really sure what happened with it. Maybe it went through? It was right around the time the market collapsed...
The contract is coming. With 280 deployable battleships the potential is huge, let alone REG potential. With 10 million shares float and a 70 million market cap, I see this stock going over 100. Yes I said it. 100. In time that is. 2-3 years.
No relevancy? AMSC solves this problem. Hence their partnership with ConEd backed by homeland security...Its a long term story here
