They are using AMBA "A12W".which, which has been available for some time. Heard that the SDKs are in short supply for s/w reasons. Something about problems with integrating the wide range of individual features requested by single customers w/I same s/w package.
Totally agree. And the current cool play by the management to me seem to indicate, that they have some seriously strong cards up their sleeve for this time.
I know those guys real well and trust me - no sell-out of any kind unless the premium is well over the 120. Currently the feaverish bids are well under that so - no deal, just wait and see!!!
Question really remains: Hw long can the shorts keep the lid tight down on this pressure pot??
Yiu are so full lof it, this is in the hands of more powerful hands with a major interest in getting AMBA into becoming a truly attractive acquisition object.
Getting back to the basics: AMBA right now - and for a foreseeable future HAS NO COMPETION! So that clearly stated, the sole sombre futures they might challenge would be - their end markets evaporate and with them their so far solid accounts.
My broker actually acquired 80 pcs AMBA for me on 9/4 @ $69.25 off market. IMHO a lot of short selling is taking place at this time. For whom? Possibly the big guys with a serious interest in acquiring AMBA at a "reasonable price" might be part of the force behind it, I don't know.
I couleasily see a bidding war between Intel and - Avago!!! Qualcomm IMHO has their own direction problems o deal with right now, and...don't forget, Hoc Tan won't give in until he has taken over INTC and become their CEO! He's been in this industry since the early 1980s to become the greatest of them all, period!!! And, he has the the material to deliver in tha position, a smart man, streetsmart like hell...
There is no way in hell that INTC can supply the camera SoCs required for high resolution low power pictures from the terrain below!!! The rest of it, OK, but not for that part of it.
