I also agree, posted too early... Makes even more fun and hikes the enjoyment, if those guys are still hanging in there short for too long - hopefully :) This stock no doubt has been and still is highly manipulated.
No, it's not a single trick pony, it's a 2 trick pony!!! Product line 1: Wireless charging. Product line 2: Signal conditioning in Telecom and related applications. Period. All the remaining revs, which have been keeping IDTI afloat since the board kicked out Ted Tewksbury for keeping the company on a longer term but real course with with a future, still from legacy product from Ted's time, most of it in the Telecom and some in the Datacom sectors. The problem remains, that all of us, who know and knew about this with time have forgotten these facts, but that's what it is and remains. Now the stock has dropped to more realistic levels and the emperor lost his clothes - if he ever had any - an acquisition of the 2 only product lines will be just around the corner, read my lips.
QCOM, or anybody else for that sake, has nothing close to AMBA's low power while HiDef combo camera technology. As for system processors, AMD and others seems to be doing well, but that is synergetic with AMBA and zilch competition! A generation or more behind in performance but for sure a 'generation ahead' in a much lower price you have the HiSilicons and others of this world. No real competition either, not even with the Chinese main accounts.
Will be real interesting to see what happens when the volume kicks in somewhat later today!
Just like we, the greedy longs, who believed the meteoric rise of AMBA would continue ad libitum had to pay a dear lesson, when AMBA dropped like Newton's apple, just the same way the "Other" side, those baissists par excellence, are now getting their hair shaved down to their ankles!!! We were no better, but did pay our dues and hopefully learned a lesson. Our dear 40% more or less open shorts, are now in for a severe lesson and some serious dues. Hopefully even more than that! "Vengeance is sweet, said the Lord":
They are using AMBA "A12W".which, which has been available for some time. Heard that the SDKs are in short supply for s/w reasons. Something about problems with integrating the wide range of individual features requested by single customers w/I same s/w package.
Totally agree. And the current cool play by the management to me seem to indicate, that they have some seriously strong cards up their sleeve for this time.
