the 90 percent rule...is that the one that says you are wrong 90 percent of the time.....? You could say the same for any other college out there....yes if the student did not get a loan and parents did not have money, there would likely be no college......you have a firm grasp on the obvious......go back to your room and light some candles for your savior Obama and wait for him to tell you the next thing to feel

No - you bafoon....they get it from students...the students are the ones that get the loans and qualify for the grants....then the money goes to the school....the University of Phoenix does not get (in addition to grants and loans) subsidized directly by state tax dollars.....

so you see AGAIN.....public universities get more....why? because union workers work there....so why would your hero Obama be trying to cripple private for profit education....so his supporters THE UNIONS will keep democrats in power

Go away....you lost...I called the bottom at 17....lets see I guess that would be over a 30 percent gain

let's go back to my post from april 16th...when you were predicting the meltdown

.....That would be the only bet you would be making...that the company will not make it out of probation. Here, again, you need to understand the report. It was NOT related to decptive enrollment practice, or student default rates, or poor academic content or delivery. It was based on governance...that Apollo Group has undue control over the activities of the University of Phoenix.....in my opinion this is rediculous and should be very easily remedied. Once this occurs there is really not much standing in its way of going up....as one analyst recently wrote:

When investigating an industry facing serious headwinds, always demand a significant margin of safety. Although Strayer and Capella might turn out to be cheap, the stocks do not have enough of a margin of safety to make the risk worthwhile.

Apollo, on the other hand, has significant room for error before investors lose money. As a result, five years from now investors will likely wonder how they could have passed on the stock at less than $20 per share

My information is based on logic.....the preliminary report came out well before May....found nothing wrong with eduction...it was only related to governance issues which can easily be resolved....they will now be accreddited for the next 10 years....with this level of certainty students will start coming back...find something else to sell...this is going up to 20 over the next few months

Is this whatr you do....look at the high price for the stock for the day...then wait till the market closes...then make proclomations about your cunning ability to be able to execute a short sale at the intra-day high price of the stock?

Let me guess....you like to call your friends on the East coast and write down all of the answers for Jeopardy...then wait till it comes on TV in your Mom's basement in Bakersfield and impress her with your trivia skills

Let's guess what group of schools might not accept credits from for-profit schools....hmmmm...let's see....oh yeah, that's it....that would be publicly funded community colleges and universities....

A degree from the university qualifies individuals to be eligible for many things....for instance to take the CPA exam...or to qualify to be a registered nurse...

Stop being a cheerleader for government....everything they are involved with or control is messed up in terms of fiscal responsibilty and efficiency

If for-profit institutions go under, who stands to gain the most from that outcome? Public and not-for-profit educational institutions and, through those institutions, Teachers’ Unions stand to gain the most. This could translate into an increase in employment for Teachers’ Union members along with high-dollar health care plans and pension programs.
