Tone Def timing on the Russia Announcement this morning. What were they thinking?
We will see if this ever gets done.
Perhaps he sold because he learned that IMAX is building a 45 million dollar building in LA.
If the article is correct, that may be enough for me to look for an exit point.
That should keep a lid on the price for awhile.
I am a bit surprise they are selling here. If I remember correctly they bought a lot in the mid to lower 20s.
Perhaps this is a chance for someone to take a stake that will tilt the board a bit more toward investors.
Only about 10% of the backlog is lasers if I remember the figures correctly from the CC.
There is plenty to bash with Imax's management but I am fairly sure that IMAX would have been bankrupt awhile back without them.
They are managing relationships with the Film Industry, Theater owners, and Movie goers. Not necessarily an easy task.
Sure they are overpaid and I would love to get more board oversight, but they are not the worst I have seen either.
Glass half empty, eh.
I read about the Demo they gave in variety, seems like a prototype to me.
Yes, as stated on the CC they are still on schedule for first installs by the end of the year.
They are talking about installs with the Alpha unit.
The schedule could easily slip, we will see. Apparently it is not having much effects on sales either way.
Based on the CC it still seems that the Laser Systems are still on Track from the last estimate.
They indicated they were putting the Alpha units together now and that the alpha units would be what they were installing next year.
They hope to install 10 in 2015 and ramp up more in 2016, but that is far from a firm number.
The very last question on the CC if you would like to look at it yourself.
The Laser Upgrade business looks to be a good one for next year.
Just noticed that the Seattle Science Center announced an upgrade. No announcement, not sure how many others have been done but not announced.
If they get anywhere near there traditional margin it should be a good year.
I am hoping doing these kind of deals is a sign it is still on track.
