Encouraging that most (all?) of the Aerosurf infants experienced a delaying of any nCPAP failure. Perhaps multiple dosings over the 72 hr period will pan out for these kids in Phase 2B?.
On a negative front, why is no one asking for a theory on why the 15- and 30- minute dosings severely underperformed the control group? ( Larry why didn't you ask this? ) I don't understand how the company could decide to move onto Phase 2B without having given some serious thought to this. Did I miss something in the way of a possible explanation?
I would prefer -- sell the entire Lorc franchise to Eisai (for say ~500 mill +/-) and just focus on the pipeline. A fresh start would be nice.
excuse me, but 13,000 million would equal 13 billion. So - like Austin Powers said when he was back in 1969 - Are you saying shorty has 13 BILLION NWBO shares short? The entertainment value on this msgboard is well worth the pain of following this stock :-)
are U on fkin drugs? Shorty CANT get out. They have shorted the entire float -- and Linda raised cash without giving them ONE share to cover. I repeat -- SHORTY IS HOSED.
Adam F, these were dollars not-well spent. :-)
and - I think they're panicking (and rightly so) because Linda got funds without giving shorty a way out. So if this plays out ---- this will be the playbook for all development-stage biotechs to beat the scourge of the shorts. They're like roaches -- we just gotta stomp em out.
I really doubt they're looking out for the longs with all their slander. They're just hosed, and they know it. Fingers crossed -- this will be the squeeze of all squeezes!!! Can't wait till shorty goes down in flames. Good Family Entertainment.
trading around a 9.5 PE?. That is a joke ---- who cares what that loser Guy Adami says.... this is a screaming buy right now,......OMG. Just for the dividend and absolute lack of down side..... ??? Anyone not buying now is gonna be quite sad in a year or 2.. IMO
it's pretty clear -- if 334 does not work, this company really will be quite dead. So I don't know what the point is in all these new Lorc patents, considering the company doesn't wanna go after other indications, and it's not selling at all well for weight loss. So it really comes down to 334. I truly wish the company had gone for 334 as its first product. Oh well. Win some lose some. Jack made out ok for himself, even though he has badly hurt his employees and shareholders.
Hate to say it, but -- Jack didn't know what he was doing. And he got rich even though he didn't know what he was doing. We should all start our own company so we too can screw it up - get rich - and get sent back to the farm. Nice Job, Jack. You really did let us down, fyi,
As an ARNA long, for some years -- i will agree --- having frickin Harry (at least temporarily) running this co is not a good thing. I mean - how do these same a-holes that destroyed other companies keep ending up with top jobs at other companies? HARRY - just move on and don't pull an SQNM on us!!!!!
Hillary and Bernie manufactured most of the drop in the biotech sector with their rhetoric suggesting drug manufacturers don't deserve to make any profit. (They intended to go after that one company that overnight jacked up some ancient drug price 16,000% percent -- but their words were so dumb, they tanked all the biotech/healthcare co's.) So I'm not suggesting woody had anything to do with the nwbo drop from like ~12 to ~6 ------ but i am suggesting he might be who is behind Friday's drop from 6 to ~3.83 ... but again -- it's just a hunch on my part. And it's worth at least considering - because SEC is definitely looking at Friday's NWBO action. So how will we react if in the end we do find out it was the woodman behind Friday's action? I myself would love it if Woody was not involved in friday.
i wasn't suggesting woody wanted to short. i was suggesting - for whatever reason -- woody wanted a larger piece of the company, was willing to finance the company (via larger % ownership) but the terms were unreasonable to him until the stock really tanked. And - i am suggesting -- he tanked it - himself - with some well timed (large) sells of his own. Possibly real sales (not short necessarily short sales), with the intent that after the stock tanked sufficiently, he could end up with his desired % ownership (~28%) once the terms became agreeable to him.
My theory seems less far-fetched than Mr Smith on Stocks dude's theory about the hedge fund wolfpacks. BTW -- Smith really liked Discovery Labs ------ easily the most slimy company that has ever inhabited this universe. So I basically discount anything from Mr Smith, as purely lunatic rantings. If that guy has made any money in his lifetime (with his picks like DSCO), it would be a miracle for him.
AND BTW - I'm not negative on NWBO stock even if Woody did conjure this magic between Friday and now. I'm long on NWBO , but not super long, cuz there's just too much weird stuff going on here. But NWBO is way less slimy than DSCO, IMO.
and my point is: the company -- and probably a bunch of individual investors emailed SEC to look into Friday's action... If it were to turn our our HERO today is the same #$%$ we were chasing on Friday, then ---- no wonder SEC has such a difficult/impossible task.
If Woody actually did do the Friday meltdown, well it's pretty clear it could have been completely legal -- with a very large sale of his in the early afternoon on Friday to jack up his leverage in a larger financing negotiation. But meanwhile, we have SEC chasing hedge fund wolfpacks? Which theory makes more sense?
WHO engineered the take-down last Friday? I DO hope it was NOT Woody. Cuz Woody is now our hero -- but what if woody had to do that take-down in order to get what he wanted? PLEEEZE TELL ME WOODY WAS NOT BEHIND LAST FRIDAY'S ACTION. That really would not be the best thing we could envision. But does it make just a little sense????? just a question, mind you. Am long the stock but still confused about what happened last friday.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
