Great news Croup….. I hope there is another announcement coming up soon pertaining to a major pharma company. So much going on with Stellar…..
Ok …. Lesson 1 blackcats. Take a look at a company called Puma Biotech (PBYI)…Oh study their balance sheet and their income statement and apply your your simplistic analysis to conclude that stocks only trade higher if they are making money….. Well Puma was up $31.00 today to $77.70.…..but guess what… they are loosing over $2.00 per share….so please explain to this board the logic you are trying to get across. …. There are many stocks that trade higher without earnings…..
Croupier….these guys are not even worth responding too. They are idiots that obviously have no investment experience….. probably in high school or better yet "reform school".
Yes, Thank you for the research and response!! I agree with Kenticus….anyone hoping this company fails is just not human. Let's all keep our fingers crossed, but again thanks for the info.
croupier….. how long do you believe this study will last? Since it is Phase III, what are the next steps if it is successful…… timeframe, etc? Thanks….
When is Blackstone suppose to provide their recommendation to the board? I am told the breakup value of this dog is about $17 without the tax losses that carry additional value. Anybody got any advice on this. I am looking at a significant loss here as I have a fairly large position at $14.50 or so.
Thank you gogo……. Glad you were able to participate as looking back I wish I had. I hope we won't see major price pressure after 1/10 but from what I understand we should have some major news prior to that date.
croupier….. I am an accredited investor and was invited to participate in the offering. I am not an insider so I am absolutely certain that many "outsiders" invested. I did not, but I do know there was a restriction on the time before you could sell. The minimum investment was $50,000 at $1.05 a share. Assuming they raised approximately $10 million that is close to 10 million shares. (too lazy to look up the exact details). My worry is if 50% or even 10% of those investors decide to sell after the dead date, we could see the share price take a significant hit. If my memory serves me right, I think there was only a 90 to 120 day restriction period. I don't want to see this happen, but I do have my concerns.
I believe the last infusion of capital in August or Sept was at a price of $1.05. The stock has a time restriction that I think (not sure) was for 90 days before anyone can sell. Anybody got those facts?
I have been told that the Tax Losses have value. Don't know how that works exactly. I now have a major loss in this dog! Can't help but think they are driving it down before a positive announcement….
No question the company has come a long way this year. I accept that fact. I am just wondering if anyone has access to someone outside the company that really understands the potential for KLH? I have tried to contact a former employee (Bio Scientist) but they were very reluctant to discuss (which I understand). I have an ex sister in law that is a genetic engineer and have inquired with her, but not received an answer. She was one of the original Genetic Scientist with Genetech. It is one thing to get advice from an investment banker and another from someone that understands this stuff from a scientific point of view.
Of course I like your thinking and hope you are right as I have a big position in this stock. I don't care about earnings at this point as there are many BioTechs trading at double digits without earnings. With that said and not to be negative, what makes you absolutely certain that KLH is as an important immune-stimulating protein, highly valued in wide-ranging therapeutic and diagnostic markets, as the company states? I know absolutely nothing about BioTech, but are there other competing proteins? Just an honest question….. Thanks
I certainly hope you are right. What scares me about this stock is that for all the positive news and potential the company has, the market is not recognizing it. One would think this would be a $5.00 stock just based on all this potential. Other Biotechs, who are not as old as this company, trade much higher without the fundamentals to back them up. I am long, but I am a little worried. Wish we would get over that $2.00 mark and stay there!
I was told that the liquidation value on this stock is close to $20.00. It certainly isn't trading like it has much value….. keep slowly dropping. Anybody know anything?
