Is $32 your target as well, or do you think they'll push it below $30? A safe range would be around $26 or so.
Hoping news comes this week. It's been a couple since this was mentioned at the congressional hearing. A multi-million dollar deal with HHS would send this stock into the $70's.
Why would Roche care about a Phase 1 product? Something else in the works here. Roche has other motives at play. I think this goes back to the comments made at the congressional hearing about another large pharmaceutical that will be helping NewLink manufacturer Ebola vaccine.
I believe GSK said this weekend they are bowing out. I saw an earlier post about that, I'm looking for the article now. If someone has a link please post it.
Video is available on CSPAN for other investors to review.
Absolutely not. My point was to only illustrate how absurdly low the current valuation at $20 is.
At the congressional hearing last week, it the HHS doctor let it slip that NewLink was working with "A Large American Company" (see CSPAN video). A big pharmaceutical like JnJ or Pfizer could easily ramp and help produce that many does. I'd expect an announcement this week.
Assume 20 million people will need a vaccine (includes all first responders and United states military). Now assume each vaccine shot costs $100 (that's conservative). That's $2 Billion dollars of revenue. As of Friday NLNK's market cap was only $819 Million. To get to a market cap of $2 Billion, the stock needs to rise 2.4x. That puts a valuation of $71/share on NLNK.
Have a great weekend.
IBIO will help make ZMapp which is a "cure" once you have Ebola. NLNK is making a vaccine which would be used to prevent infection. They would likely vaccinate the military and all healthcare workers with NewLink's vaccine, and treat patients with Caliber's drug.
I own both stocks. You should too. Buy and hold my friend. Government contracts coming.
It's NewLink. Start the video at 1:30:10. The entire conversation is about NewLink Genetics in Iowa.

In reference to NewLink's Vaccine ramp-up. HHS Dr Robinson said:
1:31:40 "Working with them to expand their production with other companies including A VERY LARGE COPANY here in the United States"
Um, was that a slip? Are we about to get a collaboration announcement with NewLink and a major Pharmaceutical? Perhaps Merck, Pfizier, or JnJ?
Last year alone they booked $91m in revenue. Add in the current Ebola crisis and it would seem that this year, they revenue will exceed their market cap. From a valuation standpoint a company like this would generally command a $250-300m market cap. That's 2.5x-3x the current stock price ($50-$60/share)
"WE ARE USING A NUMBER OF OUR SYSTEMS TOS TO MAKE THESE PRODUCTS AVAILABLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. OUR STAFF ARE ON-SITE AT THE MANUFACTURER, TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND OVERSIGHT TO EXPEDITE AVAILABILITY."
This was 38 minutes into the discussion. You can see the transcript at cspan's website.
Friedman's testimony will surely be on the news tonight. NewLink's role in a vaccine at Walter Reed Army Insititute will be a topic of many news packages going forward. Excellent press for this company. Will be looking for some articles in Forbes and Barrons on NewLink.
Huge money to be made here. This company is head to $100 easy. Only vaccine for Ebola.
