I purchase biotechs based on their science. When I see Phase 3 results that show a 146% increase in PFS in a hard to treat cancer like Glioblastoma, I'm a buyer. AGEN may go up tomorrow, or it may go down, but a therapeutic which yields an 8 month improvement in PFS is not something that will sit on a shelf, the FDA will approve, so I'm a buyer.

Excellent writeup on yesterdays news, noting those treated wtih G-100 lived 8 months longer than the current standard of care. Also goes on to mention the MAGE-A3 vaccine which could be on the market by generating revenue in 2014. Just google news "Agenus trial of brain cancer vaccine shows better survival rate"

Thanks. Funny how this stock was manipulated down so insiders could buy cheap shares. 146% increase in PFS in Glioblastomas is all I needed to see yesterday to know where this stock is headed over the coming months.

I believe they have an abstract that has been accepted on Kevetrin for the trial at Dana Farber. Good stuff.

That would seem like a very likely driver for a significant move higher. Perhaps those results are closer than we think.

Oh that could happen. Consider how far this market has come, the selling will be swift as investors rush to exit with profits. That will certainly drive the VIX. We've seen this game play out before...

Newbies - Buying interest ahead of NVAX at The World Vaccine Congress in DC Tuesday
by medtrust2 •Apr 15, 2013 7:43 AMThe RSV phase 2 study results released a week ago are driving much of the interest, especially among the hedge funds. In the conference call on Phase 2 results, the company noted that they were saving additional data for the World Vaccine Conference which is tomorrow evening. I believe they are scheduled for 5pm. I'm excited to see what new data is released! Could bring us some excellent press coverage this week. GLTA

I suspect they already have, and you'll see an announcement on Tuesday to coincide with the World Vaccine Expo start. Novavax have a 3 year contract with BARDA (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority of The Department of Health) for development of vaccines for seasonal influenza and Pandemic Viruses. Just google it.

Small block trades all day. Anyone notice that pattern?

No mass selling, just little ticks of few hundred shares here and there all day. The past 2 days the Accumulation/Distribution chart was way up, with heavy buying from institutions. Today it looks like we've got amateurs trading little blocks all day.
