IMO was not available in some stores Thanksgiving night and Black Friday. Just not sure how many. Of the 3 WMT stores that I check on a weekly basis one was not available until two days ago and the other sometime on Friday or Saturday. Only one store I'm positive had it on the floor for Thanksgiving night. See explanation below. I'm sure it probably effected sales to some degree.
I went to the Bayonne WMT today and the clerk said they hit the floor 2 days ago and had 26 available for purchase. I saw the 26 machines today on the floor.
At the North Bergen WMT I'm sure they had it available with about the same amount @ 25 on Black Friday because they had only 4 left when I went last week on Saturday morning. This is the busiest store out of the three. Today when I went they had NO meg pack's left and sold 9 Jet machines for the week.
Secaucus WMT which trends with North Bergen and my TGT store which sold 21 Mega pack machines from Black Friday until last Sunday had 25 on the shelf on Saturday morning last week. Which means IMO they were not available for Thursday night and Friday. This suspicion in Secaucus was also confirmed that I noticed that 7-8 machines sold of the reg jet and source models that week. Also today of the Mega Pack they had 17 machines left which means they sold 8 of them since last Saturday.
Has been available for the last year... so the 25 bucks is nothing new IMO.... Just want to sell more machines that create cash flow. Search 20 cash rebate and you shall find.
I think they did something like this last year. I guess they can keep the 54% gross margin and offer deals like this and will only get easier with new factory and additional co2 and flavor sales. The rebate is good for all retailers including online retailers.
They never had a viable competitor even in Europe with the Nespresso folks aga etc... What makes you think with 1 machine GMCR will be a threat to Sodastream? Like to hear your thoughts...
Not that I know of.... This data was from the HSN deal on Tuesday compared to the deal in late Oct, 2012 which was on a Saturday. My point is the demand is very strong has witnessed what happened on HSN. Sorry about the confusion. This was with half the segments compared to what they were given the year before. IMO they took the foot off the gas at 4PM and didnt have the next segment until 9 since they had a quota limit of 40,000 machines or so. They were on a pace to sell 50%-100% more that day or maybe more if they were given the amount of segments in the last broadcast.
13,500 were sold at 2:44 PM that day.... Today's count at 9AM 13,400
15,350 sold at 3:44 that day.... Now at 9:47am sold 15,200
Took till 4:30 that day to get the count at 18,000.... Now at 10:27 am 15,550
Was 19 exactly one year ago. Today 2 machines one at 9 and another at 41...

3 machines in Top 100.....Best I saw last xmas was 2 machines...
That's all I got to say for now....Also how HSN played out and they were up 50% in machines sold at 3:30 PM VS last year Saturday show with 50% less segments over the presentation.
Also Longbow is calling Costco where last year they had store demo's on Black Friday weekend for every store and this year it was maybe 30 % of the stores.
