Except in a situation of any M&A or partnership developments. Dont know anything will happen with IMGN but you just can't be out of these kind of stocks for 3 months waiting for dust to settle because any thing can happen on any given day (IDIX is a prime example of this)
I believe that board of most US companies are usually slow and too timid to act.
The CEO job in many companies are actually more secure than rank-and-file job.
I have seen a mediocre CEO performance in many companies can go on for years before BOD takes action
talking about CMO, why is David Apelian not CEO? He seems more well rounded individual (with MD, PhD and MBA degrees to back with) for a CEO position.
Deshpende is probably more suited for Chief scientific officer role.
I agree as far as speech. When he presented results it just did not impress analysts. CMO tried to add some zest, but it was too little too late.
In SGEN's case it is pipeline that trumps all negative
TGTX is an exception.
Obviously you are going to see a lot more companies with US born CEO than foreign born CEOs so your chances of seeing exceptions for US born CEO is much higher
I should have said foreign born CEO. Yes i do believe that US born CEOs are typically more aggressive and better at promoting the prospects of a company than their foreign born counterparts. Sometimes there is perception issue too.
That is not to say that there are no exceptions.
A foreign CEO does not help with stock price
Although I think he is brilliant, unfortunately I have seen this kind of CEO discount in other companies (more notably Citigroup when Pandit was CEO)
If this was typical aggressive, US born CEO, you would be seeing at least 20 stock price
hoping to put lid on this boiling pot.
They dont care that DOW futures are up 170 points
They dont care that AAPL is about unleash the biggest profit in US corporate history
They dont care that watch will be another blockbuster product
They dont care that AAPL is going to own living room entertainment by end of 2015
How does that affect future earnings at AAL? It seems like a hefty raise is on the cards along with relaxation of some rules.
Has this been reflected in earnings estimates?
Apple Stays mum
Apple announces another blockbuster quarter, all naysayers are proven wrong
All the naysayers come out again, making wild predictions on stupid assumptions
