Is the Dung "Deal" a Contract?

A deal and a Metrocard will get you on the subway these days. Not even a token anymore. Tokens have gone the way of the dodo bird, like the LRU and the K3, along with Freddy Kruger. Is Woody even aware of these product attempts? Should know the company history...

That's a laugh!! Based on what, ease of remembering to take all of the pills every day, while being sick from Ribavarin? Not a very well thought out reply. ABBV is predicted to garner 10% of the HCV market with their existing offering.

ABBV has superior efficacy? What planet do you live on? The you read the Saturn times, where they like taking 4 pills plus ribavarin daily for recreation.

I have been taking Harvoni for 8 weeks, one easy pill a day. 4 more weeks to go, and I will be cured, and I never forgot a single dose.

The intrinsic value vs. hospital stays for failing livers is far greater than the price of Harvoni.

    price squeeze could cause boredom

Boredom? Millions of Americans are seeking the drug for a life saving outcome, that is hardly boring. Gilead has a first class treatment that is far less expensive than the baby boomers who's livers are beginning to fail, which would cost insurance companies at least 3X more in hospital treatment and transplants. Gilead should be handsomely reworded, as they were when they began releasing their AIDs treatments.

I just ordered my last 4 week vial of Harvoni yesterday from the specialty pharmacy that was assigned to my case. It was delivered today for my final 4 weeks. The girl on the phone told me that Abbvie looks to be getting around 10% of the market. She said that last week they filled around 5 of their prescriptions, while at the same time sent out around 50 bottles of Harvoni. That was a nice tipoff. Another agent reported a similar figure during a separate phone call to the same pharmacy.

  • Excellent artwork depicting their SurePress label printer line of products, positioned on page 5 where the QuickLabel ads used to appear. Primera's label printer ad is right behind it on page 9; a small page with numerous other models up the side and across the top. QuickLabel appears to have gone AWOL. Reader recall has disappeared by now, ads have vanished for 13 months!

    ABBV is priced into GILD

Shasta -- The HPC market is enormous, and the baby boomers infected have now been infected for several decades. They need treatment now or soon, or face dire consequences. This is not hype on hot air, there's a ton of money to be made regardless of actual price. I don't care who's selling, GILD is oversold and ABBV is overbought in the short term.

Many many side effects for those who have to take Ribavarin. I took it for 48 weeks in 2009 with interferon and felt like I was near death at the end. Anemia was so bad that my red blood cell count could be tabulated on my fingers. Abbvie will be lucky if they get the 20 of the 80-20 rule. Price is irrelevant when the compliance will drop off hard toward the end of treatment. Gilead has first to market AND best in class.

Thanks for detailing all of these script numbers. Excellent that we're up with the estimates of the greedy analysts, and will deliver gargantuan revenue and profit!

Personally, I'm on my third week of Harvoni and actually feel better already than I did before I started! Far cry from the barbaric interferon/ribavarin treatment that I took in 2008/2009, which made me sick as a dog for almost a year and did not cure me!!! I can say first hand that this treatment is a Godsend, and is already helping me, only on week number 3. Nobody has spoken about this aspect of the treatment, it seems. My gastroenterologist said my liver is already regenerating itself.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
