I´ve been following/trading edap during lasts four years, and I´m convinced that FDA approval will be huge for shareholders..for this reason I´ve bought 40.000 shares.
If we compare edap with hundreds of bios anything below 500m M.K will be surreal..

  • The info that found chubby about liver ( project CLARA page 134), was published yesterday...
You can find all the info in journals.plos.org, but I found it in investorshub.
Come on edap!! wake up!!this is great!!

    Abstract

    Background

Surgery is the only curative treatment in patients with colorectal liver metastases (CLM), but only 10–20% of patients are eligible. High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology is of proven value in several indications, notably prostate cancer. Its intra-operative use in patients with CLM has not previously been studied. Preclinical work suggested the safety and feasibility of a new HIFU device capable of ablating volumes of up to 2cm x 2cm in a few seconds.

    Methods

We conducted a prospective, single-centre phase I-IIa trial. HIFU was delivered immediately before scheduled hepatectomy. To demonstrate the safety and efficacy of rapidly ablating liver parenchyma, ablations were performed on healthy tissue within the areas scheduled for resection.

    Results

In total, 30 ablations were carried out in 15 patients. These ablations were all generated within 40 seconds and on average measured 27.5mm x 21.0mm. The phase I study (n = 6) showed that use of the HIFU device was feasible and safe and did not damage neighbouring tissue. The phase IIa study (n = 9) showed both that the area of ablation could be precisely targeted on a previously implanted metallic mark (used to represent a major anatomical structure) and that ablations could be undertaken deliberately to avoid such a mark. Ablations were achieved with a precision of 1–2 mm.

    Conclusion

HIFU was feasible, safe and effective in ablating areas of liver scheduled for resection. The next stage is a phase IIb study which will attempt ablation of small metastases with a 5 mm margin, again prior to planned resection.

¿¿¿Pero que dices???No estoy de acuerdo en lo que escribes.Lee bien los posts , porque no tienen muy claro si hablan de hifu o litho, y no tienen claro si hifu está aprobado o no en Japón.

The HECAM(1) project is a #$%$41 million research and development competitiveness project, financed to the tune of #$%$18.2 million as part of the future investments program(2). Its ambition is to develop detection, diagnosis and treatment tools for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), in other words primary liver cancer.

Originally an idea of Claire Corot (Guerbet’s Research & Innovation and Business Development Licensing Director and member of the board of directors of Medicen), the HCC multi-technological approach project was structured by GE Healthcare. Piloted by GE Healthcare, HECAM comprises Guerbet, seven SMEs(3) and three academic partners(4). They provide and develop first-rate scientific and technical competencies within the project.

The benefit of a collaborative approach for a disease with major health consequences such as HCC is huge. And France has excellent academic, structured research, particularly in the field of medical imaging, paving the way for the emergence of innovative solutions.

Edap reports always the earnings very late and in the same dates than the last year, in 2014 Q4 was announced on 3rd April, this year morelikely on 30th March or 1st April...
The results are going to be very goods:
I think that sometimes edap "plays" with sales/quarters like last Q4/Q1 or this year in october..
Last year Q4 sales were poor because they moved hifu devices sales to the Q1, therefore considering that edap during this year finally has stared to increase hifu´s sales , the sales of this Q4 is going to be to much higher than Q4 2013.
In october they sold two hifu devices and they included in Q3 sales!!!Why ??( considering that the sales of Q4 are the strongest of the year)I think that the answer is obvious, because they had more hifu sales in october/november.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Instead to celebrate your 0,5$ profits you should spend your time doing some research about edap.
What would happen if edap presents positive results phase 2 for liver cancer next week?????expecting the resuts soon...,
Have you seen the financials?? edap is extremely undervalued at these levels.
You should consider that the negative adcom created a huge buying opportunity in edap and probably the majority of the board bought a few thousand shares between 1,15- 2,5 ( my lower buy at 1,24).
    what I see is:
    40-43 m revenues this year, with positive EPS??why not? with a m.k of 72 m
    + 25% yesterday, + 50% in last two weeks , and +87% since Q3 results.
Easily 5-6$ again by summer before FDA decision.
Double digits this year if FDA says yes...and FDA wants to say yes because they can´t ignore the reality, like they showed in the letter..
Historical highs in 2016 ?? why not??
    It means=huge profits for shareholders.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
