Hard to believe nobody on this board even realized it was a short's SA article that crushed VHC in the last 20 minutes today. If you didn't know the power of the shorts before today, you know it now. Not only do the shorts have the power to tell SA when to post the article, they get a viewership of over 5,100 people. The article came out right at the peak of a nice VHC rally, was then sent to some 5100 people who read it and knocked the stock for a loop.
It's funny that the long SA article that came out recently had absolutely zero effect on VHC. In fact, it went down when that article came out. The shorts put out and article and the stock gets crushed. The power and influence behind the shorts is incredible.
Wouldn't it be nice if this CEO came out with a license or a sale. It amazes me how ignorant the investors are on this board that don't hold this guy to his promises.
To this point, a replacement has not been ordered for Rader, signaling that this is likely a unanimous vote for VHC.
decarlo spreading false info as golfer points out. No wonder this board has no credibility. It's only a handful of us that put out factual and useful info.
Another down day for the board's favorite patent troll. While the CEO sits back and waits to hear from the courts, his stock begins to fade towards new yearly lows that we'll see soon. Too bad he doesn't realize how bad the 4G companies need his patents or he'd probably be out there trying to sell something.
morty, I'm just glad people like yourself have a lot of faith in this CEO so you keep buying and giving shorts the opportunity to add every once in awhile when you make it go green.
decarlo, as you can see, no need for me to respond to your funny posts since others see you don't even know the facts. By the way, how much business has that CEO rounded up lately? I'm assuming he has an awful lot of 4G licensees by now, give those essential patents that are needed. He sure has a long list of accomplishments, doesn't he?
This guy sits on his hands just like his investors, waiting on an AAPL ruling. He's already months and months behind on his promise to land 4G contracts. He's done nothing that we know of with SDNI while GOOG just announced their own service. This guy has gotten nothing done for his investors except positioned everyone for an enormous all-or-nothing gamble in the courts. With absolutely no business plan and no sales, the guy has been a complete disappointment and failure in his role as CEO.
morty, did you notice all the 4G licenses this CEO signed since late last year? Did you notice the great Domain Name Registry he set up? To think he's doing all this while getting us on the NYSE. This CEO just keeps giving us more and more, doesn't he? I can't get over the number of 4G licenses he signed with those "essential patents." I really can't get over it. I believe the number is "zero", if I'm not mistakin.
It's such a breath of fresh air that this guy has forgotten about AAPL like he said he would and is getting an enormous amount of new business. The share price should be $50 in no time as this guy is aggressively signing new customers left and right, being the "gold standard" in the industry like VHC is. Let's hope he continues to sign these 4G licenses, builds on the enormous clientele he has for his SDNI service, keeps selling Gabriel servers like hot cakes and continues to push our stock higher since we got on the NYSE. This guy has been absolutely incredible.
I'm sure glad he's sticking to his word when he said "we're through with AAPL." I am just so glad he's gotten all this other business and isn't just relying on AAPL to make VHC a success. That would be terrible if AAPL would determine wether this company survives or not. Let's be glad we have a CEO who has worked hard to get all this business and drive all these Gabriel and 4G licensing sales!
We all knew this was coming. Despite the CEO saying "we're through with AAPL, his company's very existance depends on the outcome of that appeal as he's done nothing else he said he would do. Where's the 4G licensing, where's SDNI, where's Gabriel. What an absolute joke this has been for anyone long the stock. The guy keeps holding the carrot out in front of investors, but they'll never get it.
Let's see, he said early last year that he expected to begin signing licenses in the 4th Q of 2013. It's now going on the 3rd Q of 2014. I wonder what happened? Seems typical for this guy who is always telling shareholder's what's on the way but never delivers.
osprey, good points as usual. I would also like to know what happened to those "essential patents" for $G LTEA. Oh that's right, this board explained that nobody is rolling out LTE-A for another year or so. You know, when something doesn't happen they act like the CEO, they just keep pushing the timeline back. Then, before you know it, everyone will already have an LTE-A phone and they'll just say what the CEO will likely say, that they've decided to skip LTE-A and move right to 5G. There's always a light at the end of the VHC tunnel, it's just that the tunnel never ends.
lebowsy, yes, double down and buy more. That's been working out well for all the longs. It's obvious this CEO is taking everyone on a long ride to nowhere. Remember his comment at the last ASM, "we're thru with AAPL?" Well, here it is a whole year later and the company's entire existence relies on beating AAPL. The guy just can't sell anything if he doesn't win this case, which tells you how weak of a company this is.
That's what everyone needs to be asking themselves. You have a 50/50 chance at best to make money. Probably a lot less than that now that Judge Rader left. What a pile of dung this company has turned out to be, although the signs were always there.
Let me just clarify. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything. I'm just saying, in his role, his hands are tied and he adds no value to anything in the company. The role he plays is absolutely useless. I don't know why you'd waste a phone call on him.
decarlo, Greg Wood is the most useless IR person to ever have that title. He's never allowed to say anything and I really don't think he knows what is going on at the company anyway. Therefore, what is the point of paying this guy? He does absolutely nothing. He's been saying the same thing for 5 years and still, nothing has happened.
timing, stop throwing out your dream list of what this company can do. They can't sell a thing and their entire future lies in the hands of judges. The company is worthless is they get any kind of negative ruling. Sit back and enjoy the long ride down until this useless judicial system rules. Just understand that these judges will not have the guts to rule against AAPL. You might want to consider that.
