I'm not sure how this guy sleeps at night. He gets on a conference call and asks the sucker longs to wait another few months for things to develop while he's in the background selling his shares. Unbelievable. The guy hasn't signed any decent business to make a dent in his company's problems and then he wants longs to hang in there while he sells. I think this is all you need to know about this company.
Well there goes one of the last positive points the longs could ever make. The longs favorite line was that "KL hasn't sold a single share." He has now and he's sold a ton of them. Then, he asks for another 3 months or so to start getting business or whatever he wanted more time for. He sure is convinced there are a bunch of fools out there that still believe him. I would imagine he is trying to convince shareholders to stay in the stock so he can still bail out of the rest of his holdings at a decent price. If he doesn't convince them to stay, you're probably looking at an immediate drop to under $1 as the SA article pointed out so articulately. My guess is he'll try to get out of his remaining holdings in this range if he can before declaring the company can't get any business as no companies are interested.
GOOG has the SDNI space covered. You think companies are going to sign up with VHC when GOOG has the same service? VHC has nothing but a CEO who talks big and accomplishes nothing. It's that simple.
No matter how many patents are approved, this guy hasn't sold a thing, While these patents were in court, why wasn't he signing 4G licenses. I've asked the question all along and now we see the result. He can't sell this stuff.
Valid patents but no infringement. Who cares if the patents are valid if AAPL isn't infringing? VHC is finished, along with their blowhard, do nothing CEO. By the way, where are all those 4G licenses the blowhard promised by the end of 2013?
Who would pay VHC for a 4G license now. This is why he couldn't do any business. One crack in their lawsuit like they saw today and they're finished. Nobody needs their 4G junk just like nobody wanted or needed their Gabriel junk.
boris, time to give it up. AAPL got the opening they needed, a bit of doubt on some of the infringement. That's all it needed to wear VHC down and delay until all their cash is gone. Even though I honestly didn't expect this, I said repeatedly this VHC CEO is a complete blowhard and accomplished absolutely nothing. He proved to be completely worthless and incompetent. Also, if you didn't think AAPL had an in with the courts, I guess this will make a believer out of you.
Did anyone here think VHC would lose this case? I'll even admit it looked like everything was going their way. However, you need the judges to rule against a company like AAPL and it just isn't going to happen.
I really didn't expect this, but I kept saying that no judge will rule against AAPL. That's exactly what happened. VHC had everything their way but I'm sure AAPL has some friends in the court and it sure used them to their advantage. No other way to explain it. Judge Davis gets reversed!
Investors must keep in mind this company can't sell anything. They are a worthless patent troll with nothing but lawsuits as a business model. Just a reminder in case anyone forgot.
What an opportunity to add to your position if you're short. Another worthless piece of news from the courts about VHC. Who cares anymore. This junk technology is now out of date anyway, since they've been in the courts for so long. The CEO never sold a thing. Nothing!
It's absolutely a great short here. Specialist obviously has some short clients he's trying to get stock for and he's letting the stock run. He probably planted the CAFC person over on the IV board to try to get some suckers to buy. I guess it worked! Smart money is shorting while some suckers are buying. Remember, the company can't sell a thing and has no business model.
Maybe KL should have used a different strategy and actually tried to sell something to another company rather than just rely on an AAPL win. He sure blew that one, but if he was selling calls to all the sucker longs, he probably made out better than if he won the AAPL case. He has strung along call buyers for almost 5 solid years. The guy is pretty sharp.
That's my opinion. I think he's selling calls to all the suckers that want to be long this junk. He can't sell any of his technology. Gabriel has to be the biggest joke in the tech world. It's been on the market for about a year and they don't have a single sale. Also, no 4G licenses while everyone else is signing them left and right.
I'm sure that's what Cook would be telling KL if he ran into him. The longer the courts wait to rule, the easier it is to justify an AAPL win. Nobody will remember that the lower courts ruled for VHC. AAPL will win and people will just figure it was the right thing to do.
Why KL sits around and waits for the outcome of the CAFC instead of trying to sell something, VHC spins wildly lower on the new AAPL products. VHC is finished given these new products are thumbing their noses at VHC.
