Bargain shares for me would have been a couple months ago, maybe more, when the share price went back to .06. I didn't buy then but stayed on the sideline. Everything that I have accumulated was at the .08 range over a year ago. I think the lesson here is, buy if you have the money and believe in it. I have been burned by other companies that I believed in, so now I am being much more cautious. I still have a nice batch of shares that will do me nicely if things keep going the way they are.
I honestly don't think we will see a SP below .10 again. It has been a steady rise lately. I hope that it never does go that low again. That would be great for all of us longs.
bothshallrow ~ "Or put in your sell order tonight and wait a few months to get back in." Does that mean you think it will drop SP in a few months? I'm not following you correctly, I think.
Just wondering how others here feel about that? Wouldn't a "power hour" announcement take away some of the excitement before GC's presentation? Could that become counter productive?
I think we all saw that. Give the guy a break. If that's the only mistake any of us makes we are doing quite well. Look at the intended msg and not the mistake. Then again, maybe I am wrong about your intentions. Maybe you were just joking around. Sorry.
Meamoi~ good catch on editing but I liked your original. LOL. It took me back to the days of I Love Lucy when Ricky Riccardo would say "I will tell you one thin Lucy......."
Now as far as what you said, I couldn't agree more. I think of how thankful I am to have heard about this company almost a year & a half ago. At first I hesitated to buy in but I finally did at .08. I think it is still a great deal at current pps. That being said, I would not be happy if I was on the sideline looking in when this starts moving even higher. We never know what the next day will bring, but it seems like this is a winner for investors. I wish others well with their decision making on whether to buy in to this stock.
If you follow this at all you will see that GC does not willy-nilly release PRs. News is released when it happens. Stay tuned this week. Simple answer but true.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I bought at far less than a penny. What does that say about the chances to gain any profit?
Yeah, I'm stuck with 1 mil. shares that I've been holding for almost two years. For all intent and purpose they are basically worthless. (Boo hoo on me the bagholder)!
Wow brandyb~ that is almost exactly what I have said on this message board many times in the past, only you said it with more specific detail. I once held 5 mil shares for well over a year because I was so intrigued by the potential sales from Sri Lanka. Add to that some of the sales that they reportedly had lined-up here in the US. Then they had this midwestern deal going on that was supposed to be bringing in extra bucks to the coffers. But one day I Google mapped their listed address in Troy, MI. From the street view It looks like some generic office spaces that a company might lease when they are first starting up. It doesn't look slummy or anything like that but just looks cheap. When the SP went up to .0019 - .0025 about 5 months ago I bailed out. I didn't keep any core shares, sold them all. Best wishes to all of you. It certainly looks like this company has potential. They just can't get it done.
robercarlisle33~ Thank you. That was the best explanation that I have read. It helped me to understand why this just isn't moving, or when it does it doesn't seem to keep moving upward. I just couldn't figure out why with such good news as $20 to $30 mil purchase VPER wasn't doing better. You helped clear that up. By the way, yes at one time I tended to be a trader, but when I was forced to hold VPER for so long or take a loss by selling it, I decided to hold on to it and ride it out. I would have to go back and look at my records but I think I held my 5 mil shares for at least a year and a half. It helped me to have more patience and to, as you said, be more of an investor. Yes, I did finally sell my shares for somewhat of a profit. But I have to admit that I still find the company interesting to follow once in a while. Thanks again. Hope you don't mind my asking but do you have any other stocks that you find interesting or worthy of investing in?
After Posting my Topic it hit me that in the past I have been very sarcastic about this company and the lack of upward movement in the share price. So my apology. I realize that it was hypocritical on my part to ask for a non-sarcastic discussion. How about just having a good discussion? Thanks.
will only move upward mere fractions of a cent about once per year only? Just to disclose my background with this stock, I once owned 5 million shares. I now own none. I must admit that when I bought the 5 mil shares I was very fascinated by the prospects of dealing with wealthy oil-producing countries that are trying to improve their infrastructure by improving their highway lighting system. I previously disclosed my frustrations after it went well over a year from the time that the company announced trial testing in Sri Lanka to the time that they provided any further news. We all take chances when we purchase penny stocks. But we can also become disillusioned when there is lack of meaningful dialogue from the company. It truly seems as though the so-called millions of dollar contracts with these middle-eastern countries should have better results than what we are seeing. When they finally broke their silence after about 14 months and came out with positive news about the testing being completed, I noticed an immediate pop in pps. When it hit just above what I bought my 5 mil shares I sold everything I had.
This is the first time I have checked back since I sold all, and I see the same thing happening again. Does this go on a yearly cycle before it pops slightly again? What is holding this down? Is it the management team? Lack of credible staff? What is it? Anyone else suffer through the same frustrations that I did? I would love to hear some comments.
eloinment ~ I wholeheartedly agree with the contrast you made with other companies management teams. I posted earlier on the thread that riskreturn started. I said something very similar, only I pointed to a CEO in the news lately that disgraced his company with his sleazy actions. American Apparel suffered because of his spending without authorization and sexual harassment of women. The market capitalization of that company was more than just penny stock. So in harmony with your excellent point, we have a really decent CEO. I think to a reasonable degree we can all be very happy with what he is doing in our behalf.
