I share the same sentiment. Stroke has always been my focus. I bought in Jan '13 and have been anticipating the stroke data from day one. I'm actually not sure how I will mentally deal with the fact that after mid-April I will realize what I have been anticipating everyday for the past 2 years (whether positive or negative). I believe the Phase 2 outcome will be positive, but I also know there is a chance that it won't be . Since I did get in at a decent PPS, I plan on selling a small amount to cover a little of my initial investment (25% of cost, not shares). That way I won't feel like a complete chump if the worst case scenario happens.
Another thing I can't help but think about is potential for a buyout. I started my portfolio with about $2000 10 yrs ago with SpaceDev. This is when NASA had announced contracting out space travel. SpaceDev was bought out and I rolled that money into pharm. Day trading my gains and eventually narrowing in on YMI (YM Biosciences). Again, they were bought out. Although, I was able to accumulate 20k+ shares at $.74, they were bought out around $2.95. My $2000 turned into about $65,000. I re-invested about $20, 000 in ATHX. So, I am hoping that ATHX will not follow the trend of my previous flagship holdings and get snatched up through acquisition. I am optimistic that they won't, based on their approach so far.
There are many on this board who deal with way more cash than I am working with, but I am proud of what I have been able to turn that initial $2000 into. Call it a gut feeling (with healthy doses of due diligence), but I feel we have a winner here. In all honesty, I always looked past UC as my reasons for buying. In fact, I think UC positively helped out ATHX way more than we realize.
I don't post much, because after 2 years of seeing both bashers and pumpers float in and out, most activity on this board is just static noise. Thanks to those posters who bring value with their research.
Good luck to all longs!
Agreed! Or any bashers for that reason. Ugh...that's all they want is for people to engage. It throws their posts to the top, objective complete.
I agree. I think the TA is very helpful and I would never hold anyone accountable for making a prediction that didn't pan out, because in the end I need to trust my own decisions and DD. However, constantly deleting posts at the end of the day raises a red flag. Everyone here can interpret this behavior the way they want, I was merely shedding some light on the situation. Good luck in trading.
Agreed. Mark my words, this post will either be deleted or any comments to his original post will be hidden from others. I have been watching him and if he throws out a prediction that doesn't hit, then the post magically disappears. I called him out as a pumper a few days ago and BAM...message deleted.
careful, you're treading in 'pumper' territory. especially when you claim 'sure thing'.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
