No matter what happens with Greece. If Greece leaves the Eurozone, the euro may strengthen with the loss of a weak member. If Greece stays, the euro may also rally on relief. The U.S. has its own debt problems, with Puerto Rico and many states.
Options are difficult. Last week I had major gains in my JJG calls, but some losses in many of my puts. What is strange about Geegenjar is he rarely admits losses, at least major losses, and always trumpets gains. "Sybil" does the same thing--never admits big losses.
Just so you know Geegenjar, I am not "optionmaster". Neither is Sybil. "Optionmaster" is an entirely new critic. I actually believe you are buying calls, unlike "optionmaster" who says they are pretend. I believe you are trading calls, although I cannot see how you are making the money you claim.
Well, that buy spike was telling. Maybe this 3 day weekend is where it happens. Wouldn't be short, for sure.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Veeeeeeeeeeeery laid back in Fogtown. No work gets done. Need someone to shake things up for shareholders. They should move HQ to San Jose, a place where things get done Nothing gets done in Fogtown. Just long lunches and afternoon siestas.
GAAP takes out employee compensation costs, including options, which most companies do (Apple, Intel etc.).
What does that tell you?
Nothing nefarious, just getting an early start to the Hamptons. real fireworks nextweek. Down no matter what happens in Greece. Probably most bearish would be up open on Monday, followed by 10% drop (& 30% in NFLX) by next Friday.
Apple can afford content. You think the I-man sold for no reason?
They spent hours arguing with me, and always took long breaks. They acted like they owned the place, not me.
What about the non-GAAP accounting? Barrons says PE would be 1290 if the used GAAP ( generally accepted accounting practices) wheree they expense employee compensation, including options. instead of non-GAAP. have you read the Barrons cover story yet? Most companies use GAAP, including Intel, Apple etc.
have you read it yet? AMNZ non GAAP PE below $150; GAAP PE above 1290.
