India knows that Nokia scored big with the MSFT deal, so they're asking for more. At least that's the impression I'm getting. Hope the whole thing backfires on India in a big way.
Didn't Nokia offer them 321 million and India turned it down because they wanted more?
Funny, I started a littler older and intend to stay involved with the market for another 7 years. Yeah, my biggest problem was patience, as well in the beginning, and not sticking to a strategy. A plan is important. Contingency plans are just as important.
Been in the market 2 years and have learned the following which I'm more than happy to pass on:
1. Don't do anything on emotion
2. Take comfort in little or no debt stocks
4. Have an exit strategy
5. Learn to recognize greed
6. Once again, patience
So you buy Jolla (or Jolla comes to you in a partnership) and get back in the game. That's what I said in my first post on top.
I'm hanging on until Oct 2014, hope that's long enough for you.
I was a big advocate on Nokia and graphene, but fact is many companies want to get on the graphene train. Samsung currently is researching it along with other companies. I just hope Nokia beats everyone to the punch.
harley, I read the article but can you be more specific? You think Nokia will buy Jolla in 2015?
It's difficult for these guys to find a reason, cut them some slack! lol. They work day in and day out to try to come up with ways to scare people to stay away from a company which provides a relevant service, with no debt and lots of cash in hand.
I'm going to lay it down like this: Nokia has been to hell and back, they've made their mistakes and have lost their crown. Now they have a new start and a chance to climb up the ladder whether it's NSN, selling maps, mass producing graphene, running a dairy farm, etc. They will be extra careful and I think dumping the idea of going after ALU is evidence of this. I still believe the Finnish people at Nokia are intelligent and have paid their dues.
This is the new form of bashing on these boards. Be wary.
Yet another idiot on the board that has no grasp of restructuring costs as well as dealing with France.
Damn that Lee! I knew he couldn't be trusted :)
