There was no buy out. Hansen's Natural was renamed the Monster Beverage Corporation a few years ago. I cannot remember exactly when. I think this was all part of the plan including KO buy in and transfer of Hansen's beverages, Herbert's teas etc. for KO's energy line up.
The best is yet to come, hang on for the ride of your life...

I had to specifically make a choice through Schwab, as I said I declined. I think they will have to go to the open market to fulfill their commitment of 2 Billion. Probably sooner than later...

  • Our management team is creative, innovative, dedicated and responsive, we do not need 25% of our board coming from CalPERS or other activist owners a flaccid slug of an institution that has all to do to manage itself.
Keep these boneheads out of management and the boardroom of MNST.
VOTE NO ON #5, keep MNST young, hoppin, bold and energetic, don't bog this team down with a bunch of boring stiffs in the boardroom.
    God bless all....................

Farthing, I think they are going to have to go to the open market to buy shares. I just received, after I declined a perspective and offer to tender in the mail, (I threw it out). I think other longtime large share holders are doing the same and not going to be a source for shares to purchase........

Just Release the Dang Tax Returns!

I could care less of Trump's tax return other than being nosey there is nothing to learn from them. I don't care what his tax rate is, I hope it is zero, Romney paid 22 million in tax the latest year he provided and it still was not enough for people who paid nothing themselves............

  • This buy back has been telegraphed for weeks now, why were you surprised and accusing mm's of knowing something you should have been on top of. Especially as the short bear big shot you state you are. I hope you are stocked up on those depends leton........

farthing, I do think they will need to pick up a good bit of shares in the open market but, I also think so as not to disturb this market (even to the upside), they will try to buy shares from major holders, institutions and mutual funds who would like to lighten up a bit. I also think Rodney and some of the others would like to diversify out of some ownership. You just can't have all your eggs in one basket.
I am also of the view these sellers will recoup their numbers of shares and dollar position post a stock split. This will occur probably not to long after the tender, maybe even this year. I do not see MNST much over $100.00 for long hence my 4:1 split thesis.
Drink up some of those new Monster products and enjoy the ride, how about a Banana or Strawberry Monster Muscle protein drink. It's a meal......

Terrific people with terrific ideas put to a well managed coherent business plan, just like Trump is going to do for the country.........

  • The Monster will hit $200 by he end of the year, expanding U.S. and international distribution/sales, expanding margins, expanding product line, integration of AFF. All add up to a terrific 2016 for Monster Beverage...

    Earnings Release

okey, mr. market almost never sees anomalies as positive especially with MNST. The issue there is management is so tight lipped regarding business, there are no leaks good bad or otherwise, people do not like risk and sell. I feel like really bad news would be public such as law suit issues. Often enough when the details/earnings are good they pile back in.
People like yourself the long time old timers just hang on for the ride, eventually up and possibly in the arms of KO........
    God bless, and good luck..............

    Earnings Release

It would appear to me they may want more time to conduct a earnings call, reporting early gives the entire day for a market response. The Feb 25 report was for year end 2015, this April report is for the first Q 2016. There is the possibility they are moving towards a reporting protocol more consistent with KO. I understand these events could mean good, bad, or no news. Me being the optimist and positive on this company, it's management and quality products. I believe there is more likely positive developments they want to get out. What those could be may involve more KO investment, product innovation, integration of AFF or a stock split for my thoughts......

I agree, these were people who may have been a little closer to the beverage industry. I doubt they had much inside information but they had a good instinct for research and contributing thoughtful posts that were informative and of value to shareholders. I to miss there input ........

As Long As We Are Asking Questions

    by freewally3 Apr 14, 2016 3:18 PM
    thecondoguy1 thecondoguy1 Apr 14, 2016 4:25 PM Flag

wally, these stock awards are peanuts in the big picture and a good bit of managements compensation. I like the idea management is so vested and taking pay in stock. That said I also like the stock repurchase especially after the KO buy in this is a good investment and handy at this time with the hit we are taking over the ongoing integration into the KO system.
I believe there will be a further buy in by KO, a sooner than later pay off via the integration to their system, upside regarding the AFF purchase, new products and innovation, and possibly a stock split.
None of this happens overnight and as we all know there is no published forecasting and it's at least 90 days between reporting. We always take a kick in the #$%$ upon a weak report, this is a good opportunity for management to implement the buy backs.
To cortical, I don't think there is any chance MNST goes private, I think we will merge/be acquired by KO.

I don't think so wally another category for sure but you remember Jones Soda, kind of a dud, when it got the boot from Panera Bread it bombed. I think MNST will kill it with the energy category and AFF on board. We shall see, terrific to hear from you.......
