Read your advil label sometime they all cause something in rare cases but the FDA would never have approved it if the threat was real.

The algo trading systems moderate short squeezes these days to scrape some money up and down in a zig zag pattern. Nevertheless if there is any news to add fuel to the obvious upward move from the launch a panic short covering is still possible. In that case it will fly past 8. I am happy with the shorts being support slow and steady as the real news of marketing and possibly technosphere comes out during 2015.

SNY buys MNKD next year because

When SNY buys MNKD you will get a nice bump! Usually 30% minimum to PPS but if sales take off and Al Mann wants more it could be much much higher.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Hard to believe finally an objective SA article on the merits of MNKD. The author left out one wild card that could explode the stock to the upside. The unique delivery system called the "Dreamboat" is a tiny whistle with replaceable cartridges that has a powdered super fast acting insulin. This has two important effects. First the insulin more closely mimics natural insulin and reaches proper saturation and dispersion more quickly. This highly portable concealable non needle system can and will be adapted for pain relief or other medication. Its important to note its a mouth not nose inhalation with no refrigeration needed. Imagine just one new announcement by another company for this nifty device. The FDA approval of the device along with the other benefits mentioned sets up a coming surprise to the upside forcing the huge short interest to cover. I'm long and so should you be!!

Top 10 Rules of Being a MNKD BAGGIE.....

    by rocksludricky Dec 23, 2014 5:14 PM

Top rules for never learning basic trading. 1. Hold onto a short when there is no downside left 2. Hold on to your short as the stock slowly rises so you can grow an ulcer 3. Double down on your short because the big short funds tell you too so they can unload at a better price. 4. Close all windows and avoid heights because the day will come when the majority of shorts call it a day and in a flash you are Bankrupt and will have the urge to jump !!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Wow that didn't take long for the Motley Fool to write the 500th hit piece on MNKD. Short position getting a bit tight in the crotch? Forget about the Motley's prediction of no approval from the ADCOM mistake number one, next their prediction of no FDA approval mstake number two. Next predictions that the stock would crash to 2 dollars. Mistake number three and now that Marketing by Sanofi is about to start with their 3500 employees a "burning house" HA HA HA pathetic. MNKD will slowly build yes because Sanofi is afraid of NOT ENOUGH SUPPLY! Diabetes Doctors and patients testified at the FDA's Adcom about how they were waiting for the new device and fast acting insulin. RBC Captial puts a tag at 13-33 PPS. At about 5.50 now, it is on fire, its a "Burning Hot Buy"!

What you are missing is that the Market is a 6 month to one year discounting mechanism. Investors look for profits and need to buy stocks with a future as many others in healthcare are overpriced. MNKD has been cut 50% from its highs and with even a whiff of good sales there will be a piling on. Huge short interest becomes a giant support instead of a headwind. Every tick up more shorts realize not much upside for them and plenty of downside so they buy to cover into any downside providing support. Merry Christmas and my gift to you is a warning to cover now. I love it!!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • I have to laugh at Habusa because he has no clue about the diabetes market or Sanofi's plans. MNKD is NOT dumping the Sanofi deal because AL Mann is committed to it so much so he is on auto pilot and concentrating on the "Eyes" project. Al runs the ship and hand picked Sanofi. Read the RBC capital report for a reality check. I have made money here and now will again with 2016 options and some stock. The long wait is over period there will be a measured launch but launch they will. At this price its a steal and happily under the radar for now. In January when it creeps above 6 bucks the flags will be raised again the shorts will post etc. but by April I predict 8 dollars and then its anybody's guess by 2015 end. Remember all the research this is a winner forget the details and have patience the worst is OVER.

In the new world of Algo trading the 12 million shorts get a "managed" way out instead of the old "Short Squeeze" all at once. Today's action at the open was designed to give shorts a chance to get out and also buy low. The news is all good and the red blood cells are next. Buy any dips and do not get shaken out on selloffs. The price target of 10 bucks is conservative.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • "We are pleased with the results of this study, which support the future advancement of the INTERCEPT red blood cell program into a Phase 3 study in the United States," said Dr. Laurence Corash, Cerus' Chief Medical Officer. "The data from this study met recommended criteria for a successful red cell recovery study and demonstrate that INTERCEPT red cells behave similarly to untreated red cells when infused into healthy volunteers."

  • The approval marks the first time that a system to inactivate pathogens in platelet components will be available in the United States. The FDA approved the INTERCEPT Blood System for plasma on December 16. The INTERCEPT systems for both plasma and platelets use the same illumination device, the same active compound (amotosalen) and very similar production steps.

"The synergy and broad utility of the INTERCEPT Blood System as a single platform for pathogen reduction of both platelet and plasma components has been proven through many years of routine use in Europe, and will now be available to blood centers in the U.S.," said William "Obi" Greenman, Cerus' president and chief executive officer. "Transmission of pathogens via blood transfusion remains an ongoing threat, and we believe that relying on tests or donor deferrals is no longer enough. The recent INTERCEPT approvals will allow blood centers to take a more proactive step toward reducing the infectious risk from a platelet or plasma transfusion."

  • The big fear that all medical facilities have is lawsuits. If there is contamination because they are using an inferior system the damage awards are so large that upgrading to the intercept system is a no brainer. Literally everyone has to buy!

    Platelets now approved!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Every year for every clinic lab etc. They have no other FDA approved choice so CERS is in the door for anything else they want to sell or service. As soon as the truth of this sinks in a short squeeze will follow and a buyout. This is an annuity.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Cers just became a buyout target with reach in over 20 countries and 2 new FDA approvals in the hottest heath care market today blood transfusion purity.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • If you saw my post reply stating the Platelets would be approved you ca now take advantage of that success and just buy and hold as this is a monopoply!! All hospitals will have to buy these devices or face lawsuits on any blood issue.

    Platelet Approval

    by gearhead305 Dec 17, 2014 1:08 PM
theeseer theeseer Dec 17, 2014 6:59 PM Flag

I have experience in this field as a clinic manager and lots of contact with new and pending drugs. Cers has a very strong probability of approval for these reasons. The technology for plasma is much the same for platelets and the FDA is already on board with that. Next they have a relationship now built on success. Finally Cers has huge amounts of data from 20 countries. That counts big time!!! Outside of some pullbacks by algos this stock easily hits the 52 week high of 8 before the end of year as funds will stock up for next year and have no reason to take profits since this is a new "Star" on the horizon. Next year a buyout or double.
