Thanks Bud -- you know a lot more about his than I do.
However, based on Sharon's comments (sharonconk I believe is her handle but I think I misspelled that) .... I was under the impression that the original Obesity Act got 'rolled into' (however that works) this 'Doc Fix' act.
Well, I don't know much about it -- but maybe you guys who do know can enlighten us. Thanks!
Why did you say that you sold 20,000 shares @ $2.01 on August 26, 2013 ?
Why would you do that if you are waiting for O's return?
Answer: you are are not waiting for O's return. You are desperately attempting to pump Laffystock to $2 again so you can cash out one last time.
What is the deal with that Doc Fix deal? How important is that for Arena?
My understanding is that if this bill passes, then (probably starting in Jan 2015) all obesity medication will be 100% covered and subsidized. Not sure if that is accurate or not.
Seemed to be a raft of new today indicating green light for bill to pass. Then again, this is Washington and everyone has his/her hands out for a 'campaign contribution'.
Tommi Rabbit has created a new ID!
Welcome Tommi/LongFellow. I guess Tommi's claim that he does not respond to my posts made it necessary for Tommi to create a new ID with the same silly nit-picking.
Tommi/Longfellow, you never reply to my posts but instead cut/paste. I EXPLAINED TO YOU IN CAPITAL LETTERS IN THE LAST POST THE SALIENT TAKE-HOME MESSAGE. But yet you pretend that this salient message was not put out to you.
Now Longfellow/Tommi, all of your IDs risk being sent to Ignoristan unless you can come up with something intelligent to say.
I think that it is important to bump this message to the top again. It is important for Affy-chumps to learn the lesson of their mistakes. I have made many mistakes investing and learned many lessons. It is a painful process but it is rewarding in the long run. Being a chump is no fun. My best advice is to stop being a chump. I thank you for reading.
FDA will never, ever allow O to get back to market without having AFFY explicitly prove that O will never kill again. This will only be allowed if there is a detailed plan --- i.e. clinical trial or extensive post-marketing analysis which is agreed to by FDA well in advance. FDA is never going to allow T&A to just cherry-pick some rosy scenario and let O back. Agreement on 'proof' is spelled out in advance. And this agreement would constitute a Material Event which T&A would need to make public to all cump-investors.
Because no public statement has been made by T&A, then the only reasonable conclusion is that there is no such Material Event. That is, there is no such agreement for proof of demonstration that Killer-O is not really a killer.
Let's be reasonable people. After 1 year since the recall, and 3.5 years since the PEARL deaths, can anyone reasonably still claim that T&A are still seeking the real killer? Isn't that like OJ looking for the real killer?
I ask the powers-that-be to end this comedic tragedy. Even a good Spanish novella knows when to stop the show. There is always another novella to watch, just like there are always new stocks to buy. Good luck to all and again I thank you as always.
Dude - I told you that from the very first day. I posted on morning of Feb 25, 2013. IMO, O will never return but T will acquire rights to PEG for pennies. Who knows what sneaky tricks they have up their sneaky sleeves? Thank you.
Why did you sell at $2.01 as you stated on August 26, 2013 ?
You are a transparent PUMPER. You hope to sell again at $2. Stop Jaganov, we all know your game.
CLEAR EVIDENCE THAT JAGANOV IS JUST A PUMPER.
His plan is so transparent. Pump, pump, pump until $2 and then gleefully SELL at $2 and laugh at bagholder chumps. Sad but true.
No mention of O. AFFY-chumps will try to spin this as good news. After all, if AFFY were going to go BK, that would have happened by now. We must all rest assured that T workers are up day and night for the past year, working hard to find the 'root cause'.
C'mon you guys - does anyone really believe all this nonsense? I have to know. Is it possible for investors to be this crazy? I would like to know for real whether everyone is just BSing each other here. What is the deal. Thank you so much.
Stop the insanity. You are babbling lunacy. Stick to the facts. O killed people and AFFY sold all their used furniture, fired everyone and was kicked off NASDAQ. You are trying to pump to $2 so you can sell off one last time to uber-chumps. Good luck to you. Thank you.
You make a good point about short covering. I had not considered the short-term/long-term angle. It seems that shorts are probably the most likely people buying every day in order to cover. I imagine there were a lot of people short before the F announcement -- but a lot more people short after the F announcement in Feb. last year. So, maybe after Feb. 25 there will be a flurry of shorts who cover since it will be over one year since the recall. It may be the final price spike/dead cat bounce. If there is a bounce at that time, in late Feb/early March, I would seriously recommend a SELL. It will be informative to watch the stock price during this time. Thank you.
Sad irony is that usually when someone sells his soul, he usually gets something like loads of cash or something equally 'good'. You have sold your soul but in return you get nothing besides capital loss for future. Hard to say that is a good bargain by anyone's reasoning. Good luck to you.
The latest warning screaming out to y'all is the following:
Orwin and Brenner had two other people on the board with them. Those people have both been replaced. I as: Why? Why would the only two people besides Orwin and Brenner leave the company at this time? I am sure AFFY Faithful can concoct many deluded reasons for this. In reality, whatever the purported reaons(s) this can only realistically be seen as a humongous FLASHING RED LIGHT. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The absolute lowest point was when MaxPad kept blaming 'human error'. After he claimed this many times, I finally was astounded to pin him down to his claim. He alleged that it was the nurses who were to blame! And he even went as far as calling their acts 'criminally negligent'. I could never get over that. I could also never have respect for any longs on the board - as they did not offer even one comment to support the nurses. The nurses were the ones that actually saved more people from death-by-O. Rather than praising their heroic actions, Max-Sad and others tried to blame them for the deaths. Very sad all the way around. Thank you.
Good find. This shows the nonsense about "only 3 deaths" which was screamed by the maniac longs for months.
Where is MaxPad when the truth is shown for all to see? That huckster was screaming the loudest about "only 3 deaths". Shame on MaxPad and those chumps who believed that New York huckster.
Update: I was sailing around SF Bay a few weeks ago and saw a humongous boat sailing into the harbor near where Orwin-san now 'works'. The guy on deck appeared to look like Orwin-san. I do not know if it was Orwin-san or not but it looked a lot like him. He seemed to be drinking from what appeared to be a Champagne bottle and had two lovely Japanese ladies with him. This probably was not Orwin-san but just another random CEO-type laughing at all the little people in the world.
Let's not forget about taking care of Honorable CEO.
We must ask ourselves about the 'Unexplained Deaths' that thwarted O's attempt to gain acceptance for Non-Dialysis (healthy) CKD patients.
I ask myself who exactly classified these deaths as 'Unexplained' and why? Should these deaths have been attributed to O? Were these deaths within minutes of the first administration of O and did they cause a shock? If so, should they not have been properly classified as "Death by O" and not "Unexplained"?
And if that is indeed the case, then I ask myself, is it reasonable to believe that both original CEO Arlene Morris and CMO Anne-Marie Duliege (and possibly others) were aware of this situation and that is the reason that they did not stop their 'automatic sale' of so many shares just days before O deaths were originally made public, leading to 80% drop of stock price in 2010?
I ask myself these questions. I ask myself partly because O trials were not triple-blinded and instead (I believe) they were considered 'open-label'. I may be mistaken about this information but I don't think so.
I ask myself whether future O deaths in real-life dialysis setting could have been entirely prevented. I also wonder whether sudden/quiet departure of Arlene Morris had anything to do with this. Why did she leave when apparently AFFY was about to shine? Why was Orwin-san hired in the first place?
The full accounting of AFFY deaths has always been confusing to me.
