  • Upbeat comment in Barrons for AAOI ~ "we remain positive regarding the existing demand and its technical expertise in the design of the faster, more profitable 100G product line. Applied Optoelectronics has disclosed five wins on its 100G design, which we think are from a combination of Amazon and Microsoft."

    Sentiment: Buy

Looks like the shorts have gone hi tech. Using "Robo" bashing comments with multiple alias' and multiple thumbs up / thumbs down. Gee, we really couldn't tell.

    Sentiment: Hold

Old news is old news. Old facts are just that, old facts. What's important now is how the company moves forward. There are no miracles. Slow and steady progress is what's meaningful. Remember, nobody on this board stays here bashing unless they stand to gain from it (short). My suggestion is to use the ignore tab a lot. Day trading shorts will do everything they can to stop any momentum. There is already an exchange
restriction on shorting shares of this company. That means shares are being shorted (naked+illegal) for the day and covered by the close. Overused technique to slow or stop upside momentum. Pitiful really that they can't find another stock to work over. Longs should hold your ground and buy more as positive news is released. GLTA.

    SWFT 2015 Revenues 4.23 billion EPS +1.39 P/E 12 Price to Cash Flow 5.49
YRCW 2015 Revenues 4.83 billion EPS last four years negative Price to Cash Flow 2.00
Speaks volumes on how YRCX is being run. Lots of problems there. I'll stick with SWFT thanks.

  • First there was this article........
Lake Street Capital Markets on Wednesday issued a company note on SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC) after analysis of the company's expanding consumer pipeline. The firm initiated coverage of SeaChange with a Buy rating and $7.50 price target.
Analyst Jaeson Schmidt wrote, "We think SeaChange should be able to emerge as one of the "winners" from the growing over the-top (OTT) video market...We believe SeaChange's customer engagement pipeline remains strong and growing across its entire solutions portfolio, which should provide a long runway for growth."
Analysts at Lake Street gave two key reasons why they see strength in SeaChange International:
    1. Margin expansion
Lake Street believes that SeaChange has the potential to drive margin growth due to a favorable product mix, economies of scale and strong product demand. This combined with a largely recurring revenue base may drive earnings in the near term.
    2. Growing customer pipeline
Analysts noted that SeaChange excels with customer engagement, which has allowed it to develop a robust customer base with strong product demand. Going forward, SeaChange has initiatives such as Nucleus at Liberty Global which have the potential to drive growth in market share.

Totally agree. At this price the company is trading at something like a little over 8X earnings. Dividend is now over 9% at these levels. Buy and hold will be rewarded. HEES, this baby is being thrown out with the oil industry bath water.
