I should point out that sales of current big franchises are down significantly across the board. Sims 4 is down nearly 50% from 3, battlefield 4 sold 20% less copies, etc. The only franchise selling more copies than prior years is FIFA but that is a licensed product (thus less profitable than the others).

Very hard to say. EA plays fast and loose with deferment especially when the deferment is bad news. I think they are on a up cycle so you will see a few good quarters on papers. Right now there is nothing fueling their earnings except the switch from retail copies to digital. Fifa of course is still being sold over seas but that is in line with past sales. Nothing else... they are reducing the number of games they make in favor of big franchises, but those are also loosing sales. Only reason they are making more is because of digital.

No way to tell with these guys.

The current situation will have no foundation in real world demand. The idea of a "glut" is a bit of BS else we would have heard it about long ago before oil started dropping this year. The "glut" idea did not take place until hedgies and traders got into the action and now all of a sudden its a huge deal. The fact is, it has nothing to do with the glut. This has not changed much since three or four years ago. It is all about OPEC (& traders) right now and just how far the "players" can push their interests. OPEC wants to destroy all competition and retain its control over all world oil. They do this by starving and buying the competitors and they are clearly only targeting US companies because Russia and Iran are not purchasable nor stable enough to invest into even if they got the land for free. So this is all about crushing US oil. They will keep oil below US extraction cost which I believe is between $60 and $70. Once they do their thing and buy out all our producers, oil will all of a sudden be in "shortage" and will spike above $150 within a few years. Remember OPEC does not not need to follow US anti-trust laws. Hell most of them are nationalized and subsidized to begin with.

It very easy to go with the flow of the market. Many people got crushed that way. I made millions doing the opposite. For the record i am down about $1.0m this year.

How do you know goofball? Sounds like pure jealousy to me. Who cares how many shares one person had, has or whatever? Id rather people put their money where their mouth it so we have it for historic purposes on these forums.
