Bought stock and sold puts for run at 52 High...

there in nothing wrong with making money; even a small amount is worth it. When you get greedy you get slaughtered. I sell puts just below what I sell calls at. Sometimes right on top of each other. This week I have both 35.5 puts and calls. One of them has to come in. If I loose the stock I'll sell 33.5 puts three weeks out. The same is true if I get assigned I'll sell the 34 calls three weeks out. I already have the first two weeks covered. I'm not making big bucks but I'm making money each week. The capital gains don't hurt because I'm still writing off massive INTEL losses from the late 90's when I got greedy and SLAUGHTERED. Good luck and I do love this stock. As you saw last week it moves for no reason and if your not on top of it you can get hurt. Just have faith and conviction in what you do.

I agree with all you said and add that I think the "late comers to the stock are just a tad skittish and run at the first sign of bad news. In fact the article is old news just reported again. MU will be fine and each pullback is an opportunity to add.

last week all the non-belivers left and presented us with a giant buying opportunity. I picked up a few shares and sold some in the money puts. I love the way this stock always rebounds. I know some day the rebound will not happen but I'll continue playing MU, selling both puts and calls. Good luck to all the faithful.

well it will close in the 30's so I guess I have to give you some credit. Maybe you should stop your stock predictions or Yahoo might drop you like SA. I bought more today and sold a 35 covered call and got paid. I'm in this stock for the long run and these pullbacks are great.

doesn't seem to be moving in that direction but it is early in the day. Maybe there we a touch of SELLERS remorse and were buying at a lower price. Maybe, just maybe, it was all a sham from the start like an April Fools joke or something. Good luck with your wishing and hoping but I'm buying.

These manipulators force a panic right after earning so you have to wait 2 to 3 months until the next report, come in and buy and reap the profits right after the next report.

you are correct. Let my get this my humble mind around this. There are two major DRAM producers and one o them, Samsung, can't keep up with orders so they are expanding production. The other, Micron, hasn't yet said anything except that DRAM prices are rising. Now even if Samsung ramps up that leaves Micron selling the same, if not more, for a higher price. With an 11 foreward PE there is no reason for the stock to drop 10% in a week. I remain bullish and will add to my position either by selling puts or buying additional shares. I'm guessing those that were in at below $20 are selling because of fear mongering.

in one hour I'm being assigned for my failed Jul 19 35put, I hope your right about next week. I'll hold off selling a 35 call til Friday. On the other hand the 35 calls I have expiring today will be worthless. On both options my cost basis for the 35 puts will be 31.27. I love this stock and the options it profides

Why, on Gods green earth, would Samsung increase production? Well maybe, just maybe, orders have risen. The last thing Samsung wants is a price war with MU. Both companies control the segment of the market. If they are ramping up then I suspect that MU will be right behind then. Either way it's a win-win situation. Sell the July 25, 35Put and pocket the premium or be assigned the stock at a deep discount. I love this stock and the options it provides.

    MU - Call Option

I look at cash secured put options which I SELL. You could sell a July 26 $31.5 put for $1.10. If your assigned you'd be buying the stock for $30.40. If the stock is above $31.50 you pocket the $1.10. When you BUY a call option you only profit when is above the strike plus the amount you PAID for the option, if not you loose. I always SELL both calls and puts so I don't care where the stock price is moving. Good Luck, MU is a great weekly option stock. You might also take a look at RAD for weekly options.
