Applicants undergo multiple background and security checks involving the National Counterterrorism Center; the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center; Homeland Security; and the State Department. Details of the checks are classified.
Here's the problem elk, there's nothing to vet them against. Unless the individual is using their real name or known alias and are in one of our databases there are no Syrian databases to check against
Hey, you okay with turning on meta data again. And if it's really going to take two years, we don't have to worry for a while, right.
I for one don't oppose background checks for guns whatsoever, you dip. And are you still suggesting that 280,000 gun deaths are all homicides? And it's nice that youre concerned over gun deaths, but defend abortion rights that result in over 1,000,000,000 abortions. PER YEAR.
Man are you dense. This ISNT about refugees. This is about that incredible vetting process you've yet to outline. .
Yup elk, it was utopia before those three came along. Certainly no blame for Huessein in running a terror regime for years - I'll bet they loved being gassed by their own government. No blame for Obama, I mean once iraq was relatively stable it made sense to take ALL of our troops out. Assad was just as revered in Syria, I'm mean he's only killed about 1/4 of a million people. Obama again, who could have ever predicted that a JV team could move up to varsity so quickly and once Putin bailed him out of that red-line snafu, shouldn't Putin have taken over? And this Sunni/Shia thingy is brand new isn't it? Crazy this caliphate.
Do you have a point here elk? Would seem to support those who suggest that there is no coherent strategy for dealing with ISIS.
When have I ever made a bigoted comment you buffoon? The problem with your level of action is simply that it's not working. I'm sure that the families on the downed airliner take solace in knowing that it was only a 'setback'
'The Iraqi forces have Ramadi surrounded' LOL Rob. Aren't these the same Iraqi forces that have lost all the territory in the first place? Hasnt ISIS taken every major city except Baghdad? Equipping the local forces? Doesn't ISIS have a lot of the weapons that we provided to the Iraqi's?
While I jest a bit, I do agree that you are close to the solution. Problem is ISIS never should have been allowed to get this strong in the first place and now the response seems tepid. Nothing is happening fast enough. Why did it take so long to arm the Kurds? They were being slaughtered a few months ago. The so called strategy lacks detail in its outline and is obscure in its execution. What happened to the army we were supposedly standing up? We canned the program after only a few soldiers were trained.
A big problem with the local force solution is that it's tough to trust them anymore than the other bad guys - still we need to defeat ISIS.
Great that the Kurds took back some territory rob. No one has suggested otherwise. But ISIS still controls significant territory in both countries. What's the plan for taking back the rest?
Flop, if you don't understand the difference between the two situations you are truly lost.
And further, are you once again suggesting that the 280,000 dead are from homicides?
Now you need to pivot from OK to gun control elk? Fine. Can you count? How many abortions over the past 10 years?
"Also, you obviously have no idea about the incredible vetting process refugees go through to get into the US, nor do you want to know.
So again, nobeach:
What new restrictions on white men did Republicans suggest after McVeigh & Nichols blew up the Alfred P. Murrah"
Oh elk, vet these people against what? What data base does Syria have to check these people against? How can they prove who they are? Fake ID's. Incredible process it is. You're delusional. Want to prove me wrong? Describe any detail of this incredible vetting process.
As for the restrictions on white people after OK, it wasn't necessary because there wasn't a further threat from groups or cells of white people. That's why it is soooooo stupid.
Is this cut and paste in response to your being stupid or ignorant elk? I guess these same folks are criticizing Holland's and others statements that France is at war with ISIS - not quite a nuanced as Hilliary I'll agree and Obama was a shocking embarrassment in today's press conference.
So you think all these folks will be oh so happy to be here that we needn't worry one bit?
Stop watching and reading only that Krap that you do and you'd learn of plenty of solutions. So elk, do you think ISIS is contained?
Not getting it Rob. No one is blaming the downing of the Russian airliner on Obama. What that attack as well as Lebenon and Paris shows is that ISIS is conducting operations outside of the Syria and Iraq. That's what had the president on the defensive. Seriously, Diane Feistein is talking about how ISIS isn't contained and how concerned she is. Why are you actually defending this?
