  • Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SRNE at TheTechTrader site noting: Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. (SRNE), after a pop and pullback, it formed a nice, little falling wedge and tried to pop again, and then pulled back to retest. It’s right on the moving average and price support. On Tuesday, it had a big reversal, going from 12.80 to 13.80, and closing just 2 cents off the high, up 48 cents to 13.78, or 3.6%, on 284,800 shares traded. It wasn’t huge, but we’ll see if it gets a follow-through. It’s four waves up. Look for one big wave to take it into the high teens.

  • Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SGEN at TheTechTrader site noting: Seattle Genetics, Inc. (SGEN) is a swing trade of ours that is acting great, up 2.13 to 45.52, or 5%, on 1.6 million shares on Tuesday. After it popped, pulled back, it popped again, pulled back again, and broke out across the double top. The targets are 49 1/2, and then 55-6.

  • Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CRR at TheTechTrader site noting: CARBO Ceramics Inc. (CRR) had an interesting day on Tuesday, up 1.02 to 43.69, or 2.4%, on 505,300 shares traded. It formed a base that it broke out of in April, then formed a flag, and pulled back to form a falling wedge. It broke out of the wedge, and has been up five consecutive days. Look for it to get to 44 1/2-3/4, and if it gets through that, look for 51 1/2-52 as a target, and then 58. The support, or course, is down at the apex.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting: Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) popped out of the little pennant, or wedge, on Monday, up 63 cents to 18.31, or 3.56%, on 3.3 million shares. That’s the best volume in 6 sessions. At this point, if there’s a follow-through, look for 20, and then 23 going forward.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on MNTA at TheTechTrader site noting: Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc. (MNTA) is still moving up, and on Monday it was up 1.27 to 21.12, or 6.4%, on 2.4 million shares. After the base, the run-up, and then the wedge, it broke out of the wedge. With the volume increasing to 2.4 million shares, and then pulling back midday, look for it to run up to 25-6, and the 29.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on INFI at TheTechTrader site noting: Infinera Corporation (INFN), one of our Top 25 picks for the year, was up 43 cents to 21.07, or 2%, on 1.8 million shares on Monday. It continues to step its way higher, but the reason it’s one of the charts here is because of its move through resistance. The pullback late in the day may signal a swing trade. It could get to 23, and then 27, which are the targets.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ADXS at TheTechTrader site noting: Advaxis, Inc. (ADXS) was up 3.61 to 28.77, or 14%, on 3 million shares. Since first being spotted, this stock has gone up 400%. Since we had the last swing on it, it has gone from 8.00 to the 28-9 range, and doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon. Its channel calls for a lateral-price resistance at 34, and then 38 as targets, potentially. Keep your eye on this one and continue to raise your stops.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NPTN at TheTechTrader site noting: NeoPhotonics Corporation (NPTN), one of our swing trades, is acting great after popping and pulling back. It’s gone up steadily, reaching 8.65 on Thursday, and closing at 8.62, up 35 cents, or 4 1/4%, on nearly a million shares traded. Potential targets are 10 and 12 1/2.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ITCI at TheTechTrader site noting:Intra-Cellular Therapies, Inc. (ITCI), which we put out a swing on Thursday, failed on an earlier swing and came down in a 3-wave corrective pullback to a major channel bottom. Over the last few weeks it’s shown steady progress. On Thursday it was up 73 cents to 26.62, or 2.8%, on 211,561 shares traded. It looks like it’s going to start with a move to 28 1/2-3/4, and if it gets through that, then the targets are 31 short-term, 35 intermediate-term, and 38 long-term.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FEYE at TheTechTrader site noting: FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) has been acting great. It had a good day on Thursday, up 1.81 to 46.82, taking out the March high at 46.44, or 4%, on 13 million shares. That's the best volume since February. The way it looks now this stock wants to head higher. Targets are up around 50 short-term, 55-56 intermediate-term, and then 61-63 long-term. This stock appears to be at the breakout point of the basing pattern.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on BLOX at TheTechTrader site noting: Infoblox Inc. (BLOX), one of our long-term plays and recent swing trades, over the last several sessions popped, pulled back, popped again, pulled back, held each time, finally moved on Wednesday, and then on Thursday it pulled back again to retest, only to close about a dollar off the low, up 26 cents to 26.32, or 1%, on 1.6 million shares. The volume picked up as it went up. Look for it to head up toward 28 1/4-1/2. Let’s see if it gets an extension to rally to get to that. If it gets through that, then it’s on its way to the 31-32 zone, which is the short-term target.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SIMO at TheTechTrader site noting: Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (SIMO) had a big pop on Wednesday, up 2.66 to 34.38, or 8.4%, on 1.4 million shares. That’s the best volume in a couple months. Breaking out of the wedge is important. The trendline may very well be dictated at the channel top. Short-term it will be taking it up to 36-36 1/4, and then, if it extends to the top of the channel, look for it to run up to the low 40’s.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NPTN at TheTechTrader site noting: NeoPhotonics Corporation (NPTN), a swing trade of ours, is doing great. It popped out, pulled back perfectly, popped and flagged, and on Wednesday, it popped again for the third day in a row, up 44 cents to 8.28, or 5.6%, on 1.3 million shares. Big volume. Targets are 9 3/4 and 11 1/2-12.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CLLS at TheTechTrader site noting: Cellectis (CLLS), a fairly new IPO, did extremely well in the last two days. It had an explosive pop, an inside day, and Wednesday was the follow-through day, up 4.54 to 40.99, 3 points from the high, or 12 1/2%, on 1.5 million shares. The momentum here, the base having been completed, could even run up to the mid-to-high 40’s before it pulls back. Looking for another an extension in the next day or so.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on AMED at TheTechTrader site noting: Amedisys Inc. (AMED) is one of our top stocks for the year. Last year it based, broke out and wedged, and then exploded, came down over a 3-month period, exploded again, ran to the top of the channel, pulled back from the top to the bottom of the channel, forming a big wedge. The hole in the big gap is the key at the 24 range. It started to move up again, and Wednesday it was a big day, up 2.54 to 31.67, or 8.7%, on 674,400 shares traded. That’s the biggest volume on an up-day since October. It’s just a tad above, and closed above, the prior high, which is important in terms of the breakaway move. Right now, the target has to be 39-39 1/2. It’s probably a good swing trade, and may have a swing put on it on Thursday.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NPTN at TheTechTrader site noting: NeoPhotonics Corporation (NPTN) is also a swing trade that is working well, up 46 cents to 7.84, or 6 1/4%, on 1.6 million shares on Tuesday. That’s strong volume for that stock, the biggest volume on an up-day all year. The short-term target of 8 1/4 may be too low. Look for 9 1/2 next.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on MOMO at TheTechTrader site noting: Momo Inc. (MOMO) is the perfect symbol for a stock that has momentum. It had a breakaway gap, a 2-day run up, a pullback, and now it’s moving again, up 1.04 to 18.94, or 5.8%, on 2.3 million shares on Tuesday. It may very well reach into the low-to-mid 20’s.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on DSKY at TheTechTrader site noting: iDreamSky Technology Limited (DSKY), a Chinese stock, exploded along with a lot of other Chinese stocks on Tuesday, up 1.08 to 11.62, or 10 1/4%, on 1.1 million shares. It popped, broke out of a little flag, and through the resistance level. There is a little resistance near 12.50-.60, which is the near-term target. It may get there on Wednesday. If it can punch through that, look for it to get up near the 15 range.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on BSQR at TheTechTrader site noting: BSQUARE Corp. (BSQR), one of our swing trades which is working well for us, jumped 52 cents to 6.79, or 8 1/4%, on over a half million shares. Technicals look good. Look for this stock to get to 7 1/2 short-term.

  • thetechtraderca by thetechtraderca May 22, 2015 8:45 AM Flag

Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (TTPH) exploded on Thursday, pulled back on 7.3 million shares, was down 1.21 to 44.12, or 2.67%, and we put a swing trade on it. Now we are looking for this stock to be in the 50-55 range, maybe even 60 range short-term.
