Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NLNK at TheTechTrader site noting: NewLink Genetics Corporation (NLNK) had a nice reversal day on Monday, up 2.51 to 45.73, or 5.8%, on nearly 600,000 shares traded. It had a nice pop through the moving averages, but it did not get through the declining topsline. The challenge will be to take out 47 3/4 that takes out the zone to let it run. The next target is to fill the gap at 50-53, and then the secondary target is 57-58.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on RDUS at TheTechTrader site noting: Radius Health, Inc. (RDUS) has an outstanding chart, incredibly outstanding. On Monday, it was up 2.26 to 70.19, or 3.33%, on 797,265 shares traded. This stock has a shot at a run to 85, and then 98.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SRNE at TheTechTrader site noting: Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. (SRNE), which we picked when it was at the 5.00 range, and now it’s nearly 17 1/2, up 61 cents to 17.29, or 3.66%, on 575,610 shares traded on Monday. It ran up, pulled back, formed 3 large waves up, with the third one underway. The third wave could get it all the way up to 25. The little consolidation-flag pattern has some support around 16-16 1/4 pattern. The targets are 18.28, then 20-20 1/2, and eventually 25.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CLDX at TheTechTrader site noting:Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. (CLDX) is coming along nicely. On Tuesday it was up 25 cents to 25.73, or 1%, on 1.2 million shares. When the base was forming in early 2014 a swing was put on it, it broke out in early 2015, and worked its way up very nicely in a 5-wave advance. Since then it’s had many 5-wave declines, or consolidations, that have lasted for the last three and a half months. So, it looks like this stock is getting ready for something. It’s been moving up, the volume has increased a little, and it’s right underneath resistance at the 50-day moving average at 25.87, and closed about 14 cents underneath that. If it gets a punch through here, and takes out the recent highs around 26.84, look for it to head up towards the short-term target at 30, then 32 1/2, and then 36.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on LLY at TheTechTrader site noting: Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) has been doing great. During the last year and a half it has gone from the 47 range all the way up to Tuesday’s high at 88.78. After the big run-up in June, it spiked on heavy volume, formed a nice, bullish falling wedge, popped, broke out, but there was no follow-through. It then had another 3-day pullback on low volume, and was followed by the last four up-days in a row. On Tuesday, it broke out, and popped out of the wedge, up 2.38 to 88.73, or 2.76%, on 6.9 million shares. It appears this stock wants to go to the low-to-mid 90’s. Look for 95-6 as its target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on RDUS at TheTechTrader site noting: Radius Health, Inc. (RDUS) swing trade is acting great as well. It had a breakout mid-June, a swing was put on it, it popped, pulled back, and is now in a rising wedge, which is sometimes very bullish in an uptrend. If it maintains volume and breaks out above the 70 1/2 range in the next couple days, it could run to 80, and then near 100.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TGTX at TheTechTrader site noting: TG Therapeutics, Inc. (TGTX) is a swing trade that appears to be setting up nicely. It formed a little head-and-shoulders, popped through the neckline, then pulled back from resistance, and formed a nice little flag. On Tuesday, it broke out, up only 35 cents to 17.47, or 2%, but volume is pushing up to nearly a million shares. If it can get through this zone, which looks like it's going to do, look for it to move up towards 20, and beyond 20 to the mid-20’s.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on UVXY at TheTechTrader site noting: The ProShares Ultra VIX Short-Term Fut ETF (UVXY) has had a big run, up 7.82 on Wednesday to 48.05, or 19%, on 20 million shares. For the first time in a while, very big volume has come in for this stock. It has had big volume before, but this is the biggest we’ve ever seen. The chart shows this stock as having several spikes, and it broke each time to the downside. These are ETFs, but, in my opinion, made to be declining-balance type stocks. Great for day trades, but it needs a follow-through on Thursday, or it could come right back down to the high 30’s, or to test Wednesday’s low at the 42-3 range. If it does get above Wednesday’s high at 49 1/2, you may see 56-7 short-term.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on QLYS at TheTechTrader site noting: On the short side, Qualys, Inc. (QLYS) had a nice uptrend, then a breakaway gap to the downside, a rising wedge that took out price resistance and 50-day moving average, it formed a perfect parallel down channel on only waves one and two. Wave three is well on its way. You can see on the chart how this stock is collapsing. It was down 98 cents to 36.50, or 2.6%, taking out the low and closing right on it. The long-term trendline is right underneath there. The target is 30.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TNET at TheTechTrader site noting: On the short side, TriNet Group, Inc. (TNET) was a Boxer Swing Short in late May, early June, it rolled over, and is coming down. On Wednesday, it dropped 25 cents to 25.21, or 1%, on just over a half million shares. It’s at its first target at 25. The next target is set at 22-22 1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ANAC at TheTechTrader site noting: Anacor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ANAC) has been acting phenomenal since December when it was 29 1/4, and now it’s at 83.00 on Thursday. It looks like a stock that may be headed to a 100, or possibly 125. Thursday’s action was a breakout of the recent trading range and new all-time highs. It jumped 4.82 to 82.66, or 6%, on 777,314 shares traded. When a stock acts like that in a market like this, it's excellent.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ETSY at TheTechTrader site noting: Etsy, Inc. (ETSY) had an interesting breakout on Thursday, A recent IPO, it has gone from the mid 30’s all the way down to 13.00. The recent action represents a falling wedge, and then it popped out of that wedge in the last two days, up 1.65 to 16.20, or 11%, on nearly 2 million shares on Thursday, closing just a nickel off the high. Look for a test of 17-17 1/4. The big move will be at 18.40-.50, and maybe even a gap up toward 19. This is where the resistance is, and I argue that it’s a good short-term trading target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FIT at TheTechTrader site noting: Fitbit Inc (FIT) is a fairly new issue. After the IPO, it popped, came down over a week and a half period, ran up sharply from 33 all the way up to 44, and pulled back. There’s support at 38 1/2, and if it holds, the coil looking bullish, there’s no reason this stock won’t make it to 47 short-term, and may even make it as high as 50 short-term. It appears to be coming out of its quiet period, so keep an eye on it going forward.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SYMBOL at TheTechTrader site noting: Novavax, Inc. (NVAX), one of our swing trades, was acting great on Thursday, up 1.20 to 12.11, or 11%, on nearly 7.2 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in three weeks. It breaks it out. The target is at 13 3/4 short-term, and then 16 intermediate-term.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FOLD at TheTechTrader site noting: Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. (FOLD) is acting very nicely, up 22 cents to 14.70, or 1.5%, on 2.2 million shares. After it broke out, popped, and pulled back, we put a buy on it on Monday. The breakout, even though it didn’t close well, was still up above the resistance zone. There could be a follow-through with better volume going forward. The targets are 16 and 18 1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on IMGN at TheTechTrader site noting: ImmunoGen, Inc. (IMGN), a recent swing trade of ours, is acting quite well. After the big pop and consolidation, it has taken a while to develop. But looking at Monday's action, up 2.28 to 16.72, or nearly 16%, on 3.1 million shares, and closing near the upper end of the range, it did very well. The targets are 21 1/2-22 1/2 short-term.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TDOC at TheTechTrader site noting: Teladoc, Inc. (TDOC), a new IPO, is looking promising. It recently broke out of a base, popped, wedged, and popped again, only to pull back. It did close up 1.68 to 30.96, or 5 3/4%, on 680,000 shares on Monday, so keep an eye on this one. Look for it to run up to the mid, and then high 30’s.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FOLD at TheTechTrader site noting: Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. (FOLD), one of our swing trades, is acting great. It had another follow-through day on Tuesday, up 37 cents to 15.07, or 2.5%, on 2 million shares. Once it accelerates expect it to get up to 16, then 18 1/2, and maybe a lot more than that. Mid-channel is 22 and the top of the channel is at 26-7. But we're not there yet.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on MDXG at TheTechTrader site noting: MiMedx Group, Inc. (MDXG) has been just great, especially long term. It was up 64 cents to 12.75, or 5.2%, on 4.4 million shares on Tuesday. Look for a consolidation and a retest of 12-12 1/4. If it gets through that, maybe we will be able to set the target at 16.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on POWR at TheTechTrader site noting: PowerSecure International, Inc. (POWR) was up 37 cents to 16.09, or 2.35%, on 263,500. It broke out, pulled back, we put a swing on it, and it had another good day on Tuesday, holding support at 15-15.75, and resistance around 17. If it gets through that, look for 18 3/4.
