Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on VDSI at TheTechTrader site noting: VASCO Data Security International (VDSI) had a swing put on it on Thursday. This stock, along with FEYE and CYBR in the cyber-security sector, are a strong group going forward. VDSI held support and bounced on Thursday, up 52 cents to 26.03, or 3.7%, on 10 million shares. It needs to get through 26.85 on volume, and then it could be on its way to 30-31.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SKX at TheTechTrader site noting: Skechers USA Inc. (SKX) had a monster earnings report and a breakout on Thursday, exploding 11.03 to 86.87, or 14 1/2%, on 5.6 million shares. That’s the biggest volume we’ve ever seen on this stock, but it does come on a key-breakout day. A lot of times when there is this type of pattern, it has a run-up to the next parallel line. Look for this to extend in the next few days and reach closer to 93-95.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SFUN at TheTechTrader site noting SouFun Holdings Ltd. (SFUN) was up 84 cents to 8.56, or 9.5%, on 18.3 million shares on Thursday. It has a great pattern structure, left shoulder-head-right shoulder, it broke through the declining-topsline neckline, and spiked up to resistance. It could very well get some resistance in here and pull back, but the 8 3/4 to 9 3/4 zone may create some pull back. It does look like a set-up for higher levels. The targets are 11 and 13.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on WB at TheTechTrader site noting: Weibo Corporation (WB), which exploded out of a base pattern on Wednesday, jumping 1.56 to 16.09, or 10.7%, on a solid 1.4 million shares. This move takes it out of a wedge. We’ll see if it will extend. The next target has to be upward near the 18-19 zone, maybe as high as 20.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GBSN at TheTechTrader site noting: Great Basin Scientific, Inc. (GBSN) exploded early on, and then late in the day it backed off. With this kind of a 3-day move where on the first day it popped out of wedge and then pulled back, the same may be the case here. It did break out of a wedge on Wednesday, up 1.44 to 4.98, or nearly 41%, on 16.6 million shares, which is monster volume for this stock, but there were only about 8 million shares outstanding. For the most part, there is a potential extension if there is any kind of follow-through whatsoever. The target is up near 9.00.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on DEPO at TheTechTrader site noting: DepoMed Inc. (DEPO) is moving along pretty good, up 65 cents to 27.14, or 2.5%, on 1.3 million shares on Wednesday. It had 5 waves up. It’s in the middle of the 5th wave, and it looks like it could extend. Right now, a minor support level comes in where the previous high and pullback occurred. If you’re in it, you will want to keep a stop under 25.50, and on the upside 31 is the potential target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CMCM at TheTechTrader site noting: Cheetah Mobile Inc. (CMCM) is one of our swing trades. The bottom head-and-shoulder’s pattern is very nice. It popped, formed a wedge, and on Wednesday, it moved from 21.90 to 23.86, closing at 23.51, up 1.74, or 8%, on 1.7 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in a week and a half. You may very well be seeing the emergence of this stock, or at least a retest of 25 1/2-3/4. If it gets through that, this is a 30-dollar stock potentially.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on INFI at TheTechTrader site noting: Infinera Corporation (INFN) has formed a nice little wedge. On Tuesday, it was up just 27 cents, but after hours it came down on the earnings report, and then exploded from 18.40, going all the way up to 21.20, and then closed back at 20.53, up another 30 cents in afterhours. Net-net, it looks like it wants to get up and challenge the highs at the 20.55-.60 zone, which could lead to 23 next.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FTNT at TheTechTrader site noting: Fortinet Inc. (FTNT) is yet another stock in the cyber-security group that is acting well. It opened at 38, backed off to 37.23, and closed at 38.08, up 2.45, or 10%, on 9.7 million shares. That’s strong volume, taking it out across the top of the channel. At this point, this stock may extend. Look for it to head up towards the 40-42 zone.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FEYE at TheTechTrader site noting: FireEye, Inc. (FEYE), another one of the cyber-security stocks we follow, and a swing trade of ours, popped 1.06 to 43.49, or 2.5%, 7.1 million shares. That's the biggest volume in about a week. It started out great, got all the way up to new rally highs, took out resistance, and got up to 44 1/2, but backed off a point to close at 43.49, giving back about half its gains. Look for this to move up. Resistance is at 46 1/2, the next target, and then 51.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CYBR at TheTechTrader site noting: Cyber-Ark Software Ltd. (CYBR) appears to have broken out on Tuesday. The highs were taken out with little gaps and a run, and closed at the highs for the day, up 3.73 to 66.37, or 6%, on 2.7 million shares. Action is strong. The channel should be testing 70-70 1/2 range, which is the near-term target. Secondary target is 75.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TASR at TheTechTrader site noting: TASER International Inc. (TASR) had another big day on Monday, up 1.97 to 30.37 or nearly 7%, on 4.1 million shares. That’s good volume. Still looking for it to get up to the 32 zone short-term. The secondary target is in the 35 range, maybe even as high as 39-40.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on PAYC at TheTechTrader site noting: Paycom Software, Inc. (PAYC) popped 2.09 to 32.20, or nearly 7%, on 378,000 shares traded. It has a pattern of five waves up and then a consolidation, which could possibly be a topping pattern, or coils being broken out. So far, with Monday’s moves, it looks like it’s coils being broken out. It could see some more volume. If it gets over 35.90, or so, it could be a 40-dollar stock.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on EGRX at TheTechTrader site noting: Eagle Pharmaceuticals Inc. (EGRX) continues its move, up 3.67 to 59.11, or 6.6%, on nearly 370,000 shares. After five waves up, I’m not sure how far it will extend, but if it breaks out above 59.11, it could see 70. Keep an eye on this one.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on BIOC at TheTechTrader site noting: Biocept, Inc. (BIOC) had a monster day on Monday, up 1.01, or a whopping 43%, on 15 million shares. It opened at 2.39, ran up to 3.38, pulled back to 2.31, and closed at 3.36. It came on strong at the end of the day, closing just 2 cents off the high. More importantly, in after hours it traded all the way up to 3.68. It’s gone from 3.10 to 3.68 just since the closing. If it follows through, expect it to gap up, possibly on Tuesday, to as high as 4-4 1/2-3/4, which would complete a massive head-and-shoulder, and could lead it to some very big movement.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FSLR at TheTechTrader site noting: First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) is one of the leaders of the solar group, if not the leader. This stock has gone from the mid-70’s in Sept, down to below 40 in mid Jan, formed a base, exploded out of the base with a breakaway gap, ran up, consolidated 5-6 weeks, and on Wednesday moved 2.67, closing at 53.74, or 4.4%, on 3.7 million shares. That’s the best volume in 4 weeks. It could move, at this point, past the 67-8 zone short-term, and then maybe as high as 74 to try to test the Sept high. That goes for the rest of the group, including SunEdison, Inc. (SUNE), and SolarCity Corporation (SCTY), two of my favorites.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CYBR at TheTechTrader site noting: Cyber-Ark Software Ltd. (CYBR), after the pop and pullback for a few days, formed a little wedge, held the breakout point, and accelerated back up on Wednesday, up 2.95 to 61.66, or 5%, on 2.4 million shares. If it gets through the 63 1/2 range, look for it to make a move to retest 70, and then get into the mid-70’s.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TSEM at TheTechTrader site noting: Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (TSEM) is one of our favorite semiconductors, and has been all year, and is coming out of a nice-looking coil pattern. It popped 78 cents to 17.61, or 4.6%, on nearly a million shares. That’s the best volume in a couple weeks. The key breakout is going to come when it crosses 18.30. Watch for 20, and 22 1/2 as the next targets.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OAS at TheTechTrader site noting: Oasis Petroleum Inc. (OAS) has a great-looking chart. It was put out as a swing trade on Tuesday, because it broke out of a flag, and closed at 18.01, up 1.05, or 6%, on 7.8 million shares. Be looking for a test of the 19.63 area short-term, and then a run to 22 1/2 intermediate-term. Those are the swing trade targets. It has a beautiful base after a long drop. In July we traded at 58.00, and by Dec it dropped all the way down to 10.00, and change. It has moved back up, based out, and this base alone could move this stock to the high 20’s, or even to the low-to-mid 30’s, eventually.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CAPN at TheTechTrader site noting: Capnia, Inc. (CAPN) had a very quiet, inside day, closing up 10 cents to 7.18 on the session, the volume being the lowest it’s been since we’ve been following it. It looks like it’s on the verge of something. We won’t know what it means until it breaks out or down. Negative news wouldn’t be nice, but positive news could gap this above 10, and run up to the mid-teens.
