Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ESPR at TheTechTrader site noting: Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. (ESPR) has been phenomenal this year. On Wednesday, it was up 3.07 to 64.32, or 5%, on 332.200. After the breakout with the base in Sept, it had an explosive move, and then fell back and rested. At that breakout point, the wedge broke out from the flag several times in its run-up, and it's now iforming another flag. I indicated that this could be a 60-dollar stock, and on Wednesday, it hit 65 plus. But, at the top of the channel with multiple waves, there may be one more pullback like it had previously. If momentum carries it forward, it may run an additional five or six points up toward 68-70.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on UNIS at TheTechTrader site noting: Unilife Corporation (UNIS) had a nice move on Tuesday. Not only did it pop out of a wedge, it exploded near resistance, and closed at 4.56, up 54 cents, or 13.4%, on 9.6 million shares. After hours it traded all the way up to 4.78 again. It’s interesting that earlier in the session it reached 4.79. That’s the resistance for Wednesday. If it moves through, or gaps up above 4.80 on Wednesday, there’s some resistance at 4.90. If it gets through that, it’s off to the races.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting: Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) continues to impress and continues to push. It has now gone from 8.75 to 14.40 in the last 7-8 weeks. The recent moves have been straight up with only a couple interrupted days. It looks like it’s overbought, and looks like it may have reversed on Tuesday, but it did not. It had an inside day, which indicates it’s not done yet. Watch Monday’s low at 13.50. If it gets below the 13.30-.50 zone, it could roll over, but with the inside day, I’m not convinced it’s done yet.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NBIX at TheTechTrader site noting: Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. (NBIX), a swing trade of ours, that’s acting very well. On Tuesday, it popped to resistance, and closed up 2.29 to 35.83, or 6.8%, on 1.8 million shares. I’m looking for an extension that will take this to 39-40 zone short-term.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FEYE at TheTechTrader site noting: FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) had a good day on Tuesday, up 98 cents to 36.52, or 2.76%, on 5.7 million shares. I’m looking to see if it will take out the line of support at this level that’s going all the way back to July. If it takes that out, it could easily take out 42, which is the intermediate-term target, potentially all the way up to 50 potentially. But first it has to take out resistance at 36.52. Watch this one, and the next day or so, if it gets through 37 1/2-3/4 it can make a run toward 42.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on QTWW at TheTechTrader site noting: Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. (QTWW) had a special day on Monday, up 1.01 to 3.80, or 26%, on 3.6 million shares. The declining topsline was taken out. It looks like it may try 4.44-50. Monday’s high was 4.05, and then it backed off to 3.80. Let’s see if it can run up to test the high from November, and beyond that we’ll see if it can move up towards 6 1/2-3/4.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting: Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) has been an absolutely fantastic swing trade, having gone from under 10 to 14 1/4 in the last couple weeks. On Monday, it was up 71 cents to 14.21, or 5.26%, on 9.1 million shares. It looks like it still has strong momentum. Although it’s long-in-the-tooth, it could continue to thrust, but it’s just too far too fast.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CSIQ at TheTechTrader site noting: Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), a swing trade of ours, had a little 2-day pullback that started to move on Friday, and on Monday, it popped another 1.01, closing at 26.67, or 3.9%, on 3.3 million shares. That’s a little pickup in volume, but more importantly, when it does, if it does, get through the 27.35 area, it should test quickly the 28 1/2 range. Maybe it will even get up into the low 30’s, 33 looks like a good target.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SNE at TheTechTrader site noting: Sony Corporation (SNE) had a major breakout on Wednesday, up 2.65 to 25.95, or 11%. The major declining topsline that goes all the way back to 2008 was taken out. The daily chart shows a double-top was taken out with a thrust on 9.2 million shares, which is big for Sony. It had a breakaway gap and a nice close. I wouldn’t be shocked to see, on an intermediate basis, this stock make it all the way back up to 40, but for now, my target is 28-29.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on MANH at TheTechTrader site noting: Manhattan Associates, Inc. (MANH), which we traded on Wednesday, did very well. It broke through the recent highs and hit the top of the channel. I’m watching to see if it blows through there. The next target is 56-57.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ESPR at TheTechTrader site noting: Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. (ESPR) is doing fabulous. It had an inside day, but a big up day, up 3.23 , to 55.01, or 6 1/4%, on nearly 600,000 shares traded, closing not too far off the high for the day. I’m looking for more. The next target is 60.00.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on DIS at TheTechTrader site noting: The Walt Disney Company (DIS) had a big day on earnings on Wednesday. It broke out, and ran up to new all-time highs. The major move for this stock, starting back in 2012 around the low 40’s, reached over 100 on Wednesday to 101.28. The target is 113.00.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TSL at TheTechTrader site noting: Trina Solar Limited (TSL) is another one of the solar stocks that are perhaps in play now, up 97 cents to 10.52, or 10%, on 6.3 million shares on Tuesday. In the last 3-4 sessions, it has broken through the declining topsline and lateral price resistance, and now a run-up toward the 11-11 1/4 range may be in order.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on LPI at TheTechTrader site noting: Laredo Petroleum, Inc. (LPI) was up 3.08 to 12.89, or 31.4%, on 10.2 million shares. It has come down dramatically from the July high when it was 31, all the way down to its spike low recently at 7.00, and then it had a reversal. It formed a little coiling base, and in the last two days it’s blown through all of the moving averages, as well as the high around the 11 range reached at the end of December. At this point, if it has reached up to a new channel top, then it may go back and consolidate. But it may very well test the gap in 14-14 1/4, and the major declining topsline, before it does that.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FSLR at TheTechTrader site noting: First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) as you know is one of the leading solar companies of the world. It recently dropped from the 73 range all the way down to under 40, and in the last couple days it snapped back. On Tuesday, it broke out above resistance and moving averages, up 2.68 to 48.15, or almost 6%, on 4.2 million shares. It may very well take a run at the 51 3/4 zone before it pulls back. We’re keeping a close eye on the solar’s as they may be reversing.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on BBEP at TheTechTrader site noting: Breitburn Energy Partners L.P. (BBEP) had a monster move on Tuesday. It has already gone from 4.50 to 9.40, before backing off at 8.90 on Tuesday, up 1.71, or almost 16%, on 12 million shares. There could be some resistance in the 9.40 zone. It did close above the 50-day moving average though. If it moves forward, the targets are 10.35 and 12.00. I’m looking for a better set-up, perhaps a consolidation and flag.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SYMBOL at PLNR TheTechTrader site noting: Planar Systems Inc. (PLNR), with earnings coming up, has been acting very well. It was up 38 cents to 7.70, or 5%, on 708,919 shares on Monday. It’s in a little wedge, with volume and technicals looking pretty good. I would not be surprised to see this at 10 1/4-1/2 short-term.

  • thetechtraderca by thetechtraderca Feb 3, 2015 9:41 AM Flag

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) has been a really good swing trade. It not only hit 11, but on Monday it came within a dime of the 12 3/4 target, and closed 2 cents off the high, up 50 cents, or 4%, on 4.3 million shares. I would be shocked if it didn’t get up there on Tuesday. It may be long in the tooth, but it could very well, on an intermediate basis, go all the way up towards 19. Before that, however, I’m looking for a pullback/retest to test the prior high at about the 11.60 range.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ZIOP at TheTechTrader site noting: ZIOPHARM Oncology, Inc. (ZIOP) had a nice day on Thursday, in my opinion. It opened at 9.40 and backed off to 9.08, but it was up 64 cents, or 7.6%, on 4.4 million shares. It still needs to get through the 9.07 area. Keep an eye on 9.65 on Friday. If it blow through that, it could see 11, and then 13 1/2-14. Those are my targets going forward.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on UNIS at TheTechTrader site noting: Unilife Corporation (UNIS) came down at support at the 20-day and lateral price support, and bounced. After hours they announced the secondary. It’s a shelf secondary, and some of it’s private through Piper Jaffery and Jeffries. They’re going to get this done very quickly. It may be done near the market price. I’m told not to think much of it. But, of course, we don’t want this stock down below 4, ideally. It was down 4.04 Thursday evening, so let’s just see if it holds and moves right back up again. Any move through 4.90, we’re looking at 5 3/4-6 1/2 range.
