Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on ADEP at TheTechTrader site noting: Adept Technology Inc. (ADEP) is a stock that we spotted on the breakout around 5.50, did a great swing trade, then another, and continues to move upward. On Tuesday, it was up another 1.36, or 11.6%, on 829,100 million shares. That’s one of the biggest days all year. It moved out of the falling wedge on Monday, and on Tuesday, it moved up to the recent high at 12 1/2, and closed over 13 at 13.05. It had a fabulous day. There may be a little bit more coming on the upside. The angle of ascent shows potential at about 14, and if it gets through that, it could spike up to 15 or 16. This is a stock in motion, with good volume and good technicals.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on HIMX at TheTechTrader site noting: Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) had another nice day on Tuesday. Although Monday’s volume was near 20 million shares, it backed off on Tuesday to 11.4 million shares. It was still a good day, up 32 cents, or 2.7%. Once it’s gone above that line and followed through, the only thing that appears to hold it back is the short-term channel top, which is tagged over the last day, or two, and connects the highs. If it accelerates, it could make a quick move to 14-15. If not, it may consolidate, and then move a little bit. It looks like the angle of ascent is going to be steeper, and this stock is going to work its way up to 15 plus.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on YRCW at TheTechTrader site noting: YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) had a great day on Tuesday. It pulled back in the morning to 12.05, and closed at 13.99, up 94 cents, or 7.2%, on 2.4 million shares. A big reversal for this stock, and it held support. If it gets through 14.40, the next target is 17.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on ZHNE at TheTechTrader site noting: Zhone Technologies Inc. (ZHNE), which, although it didn’t break out, it popped about 35 cents and closed up 26 cents, or 5.6%. If it can break out above the declining topsline, look for a retest of the 6-6 1/2 range, and eventually getting up to 7 1/2. Watch this for a nice swing trade, potentially, if it gets going on Wednesday.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on BITA at TheTechTrader site noting: Bitauto Holdings Limited (BITA), which we put out a swing trade on Thursday, popped out across the declining topsline, up 1.10, or 4%, on 1.5 million shares. It has moved well in recent months, going from under 15 to over 35. It will be interesting to see if it can get one more leg up to 40 plus. The targets are 36-37, and then 39-40. The stop is an easy one, and if it gets under the 27 level, we can exit.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on HZNP at TheTechTrader site noting: Horizon Pharma, Inc. (HZNP) popped on Thursday, and we put a swing trade on it because it popped out across resistance and the 2 1/2-week flag. It was up 30 cents, or 4.4%, on 5.5 million shares. Look for a move to take this to 9.00 short-term, and then 10.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on OXBT at TheTechTrader site noting: Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. (OXBT) may have started a move on Thursday, but we won’t know for sure until Friday. It popped from 4.33 to 5.85, a dollar fifty, and pulled back about 50%, up 79 cents, or 18 1/2%, on 6.1 million shares, and closed under the 50-day moving averages and declining topsline. A little bit of a stressful close because it didn’t really effect any break out. This same kind of move by this stock previously and it flittered down. There has to be a follow-through to Thursday’s high at 5.85, then take out the 61/2 area to get it going.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on SCTY at TheTechTrader site noting: SolarCity Corporation (SCTY) popped on Thursday, jumping 4.11, or 7.8%, on 7.3 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in about 6 weeks. It broke out of the declining topsline out of a little coil. It looks like it’s going to test the 64-5 zone, which is the next target.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on HIMX at TheTechTrader site noting: Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) is really doing well. It has been in a nice orderly channel up since the end of last month, moving up steadily, and on Monday, it was up another 72 cents, or 5.34%, on 8.8 million shares, reaching its all-time high at 14.20. What it also did, was pull out of the little flag, and closed very well at 14.17, just 3 cents off the high. The swing trade is at 14 1/2-3/4, which could be reached by the next day or so, and then 17, potentially.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on ICLD at TheTechTrader site noting: InterCloud Systems, Inc. (ICLD) had a big explosive move in mid-Nov, it pulled back sharply, formed a coil, had a breakout over the last three days, and then on Monday, it popped another 2.21, or 14 1/2%, on 2.6 million shares. It moved above the spike high from Nov, which could mean this stock is on its way up to the low-to-mid 20’s.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on NQ at TheTechTrader site noting: NQ Mobile Inc. (NQ) popped out of a big wedge, up 2.05, or 17.3%, on 13.5 million shares, on Monday, going from 11.70 to 14.80, before backing of 90 cents to 13.90. That’s the biggest volume since Nov. It was a good day for this stock, reaching above the 50-day. Look for it to get above the 14 3/4 level, which is where it backed off to in mid Nov. If it can get above 14.80, the next target is 18.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on RSOL at TheTechTrader site noting: Real Goods Solar, Inc. (RSOL), which we put a swing trade on after the declining topsline was broken on Monday, ran up to lateral resistance. It was up 25 cents, or 8.9%. on 4.5 million shares. The volume could be a little bigger, but it wasn’t too bad, the best volume in a couple weeks. If it can punch up through 3.06, look for something up around 3.60-.70, and maybe even as high as 4.00.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on CYTR at TheTechTrader site noting: CytRx Corporation (CYTR) is doing very well for us. It had an explosive move three weeks ago, formed a two-week falling wedge, popped, we gave it a buy, it pulled back, but then on very low volume it came on again, and it’s been up four consecutive days. On Thursday, it popped 64 cents, or 10%, on 9.2 million shares. This time it took out the previous-reversal high at 6.21. That’s a very bullish sign. It ran to 7.30 on Thursday, reaching our first swing-trade target. At this point, look for more upside. The target is 8-8 1/4 next.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on MCP at TheTechTrader site noting: Molycorp, Inc. (MCP) had a nice follow-through day on Thursday, up 67 cents, or 12%, on 36 million shares. That’s the biggest volume on an up-day since May. Let’s see if that triggers more upside. There’s multiple tops. We’ll be looking at the 7.98 zone, but first it needs to close the gap and get it up to 7-7 1/4.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on PLUG at TheTechTrader site noting: Plug Power Inc. (PLUG) had a huge day on Thursday, popping 78 cents, or 50%, on 53 million shares. It had a big breakaway gap, and a big run of 53-million shares. It got above the double-tops. The targets are 2.70-.75, and then 3.70-.75.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on YGE at TheTechTrader site noting: Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. (YGE) had a decisive breakout out of the falling channel of the last two months, with a pop of 1.23, or 24%, on 24 million shares. The was a big day for that stock and a big day for the solar group. A big performance on Thursday in a down market.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on CTIC at TheTechTrader site noting: Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (CTIC) is a little biotech stock that came out of a falling-wedge pattern, moved up slowly, gapped up last week, and then on Monday, it exploded through the lateral-price resistance at the top of the channel. It was up 28 cents, or 12.7%, on 20 million shares. The next target is 3-31/4, but it’s uncertain as to whether this stock has enough energy to run up there. But let’s see if it will get a punch through and run, or back off and consolidates and set up for an entry point where we can trade that stock at about the 2 1/4-1/2 area up to 3 3/4.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on MZOR at TheTechTrader site noting: Mazor Robotics Ltd. (MZOR) has done great for us in early 2013 up until recently, and is still doing well. It was up 1.56, or 7.5%, on 281,300 shares traded, on Monday. It may be headed up towards the top of the channel, and if that is so, you could see high 20’s in this stock.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on SCTY at TheTechTrader site noting: SolarCity Corporation (SCTY), with a big start on Monday, jumped all the way up to 67.14, a new all-time high, taking out the Oct-Nov double-top. It was up 4.34, or 7.3%, on 10 million shares. It backed off at the rising-channel top, but notice that it did not fill the gap, and could very well have another up-day on Tuesday. If it does run, it could head up toward the low-to-mid 70’s, and maybe even the low-to-mid 80’s on this one.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on WPRT at TheTechTrader site noting: Westport InnovationInc. (WPRT) had a swing trade that popped and flagged or coiled seven sessions, before it popped out on Monday, up 62 cents, or 3.16%, on 1.9 million shares. Let’s see if it gets a follow-through. The declining topsline and 50-day moving average are around 21.18-.20. So watch for that on Tuesday to see if it does get a pop up there. That could be resistance, but if it gets through, look for it to get to 24, and then 26, potentially.
