Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TGTX at TheTechTrader site notinTG Therapeutics, Inc. (TGTX) had a good break out for this biotech on Wednesday as the entire wedge pattern was blown through. It was up 1.12, or 8.68%, on 701,100 shares traded. The volume wasn’t huge, but it’s been up the last 5 days in a row. Let’s see if it can make it to mid-channel around 17, and possibly as high as in the 19-20 zone.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OREX at TheTechTrader site noting: Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (OREX) had a big day on Wednesday. The stocks soared after information came out that business had been better than they expected in the third quarter. It looks like it’s headed up toward resistance. I’m looking for a test on it as early as Thursday at 6 1/2. If it gets through that, maybe we’ll see 7 1/2-3/4, 7 3/4 being my swing trade target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GRPN at TheTechTrader site noting: Groupon, Inc. (GRPN) had an extension day on Wednesday, and jumped another 30 cents, or 3.85%, on 45.6 million shares. The base is broken, it broke out, retested, and I’m looking for a test of the gap on this one near 9.00 short-term. The secondary target is 11 1/4-1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ACHN at TheTechTrader site noting Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ACHN) has been great. Two of the last three days have been superior sessions. Last week when it broke down and formed a little flag, it was looking good. But the breakaway gap on Monday, a retest of resistance and a pullback on lower volume, and then follow-through on Wednesday, after reversing off of 12, getting up to 14.86, and closing just a penny off the high, or 19%, on 20 million shares made it a spectacular day. Now it's through the mid-channel line, if there is a follow-through, this could be an 18, 20, 22-dollar stock going forward.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on VIMC at TheTechTrader site noting: Vimicro International Corp. (VIMC) has a consolidation taking place. I like the reversal on Tuesday. Look at the low, right on the 50-day, right on the trendline, and it reversed from 8.55 to 9.50, and closed at 9.38. It was up only 3 cents, but the positive day on Tuesday was important. Look at the resistance on this one over the last three weeks. If it can get above 9.70, I think it will start to run and retest the 52-week highs at the 11 3/4 range, and beyond that 14.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FLWS at TheTechTrader site noting: TASER International Inc. (TASR), on multiple contracts, this stock is running. It was up 58 cents, or 3%, on 3.3 million shares. It closed just under 20 on Tuesday at 19.51. The high up in this zone back in February was 20.83. I think it’s going to test that, and maybe get to 20-22 1/2 short-term.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GRPN at TheTechTrader site noting: Groupon, Inc. (GRPN) is looking and acting well. It has a nice base. The 4-day move, including the breakaway gap, had run-up to over 8.00 at 8.06, then a 4-day pullback on Tuesday morning, reaching the breakout point, and the 10-day moving average near the 7 1/4 range, where the spike up towards 7.88, and close at 7.80, up 37 cents, or 5%, on 18.5 million shares. That volume indicates to me that possibly that the base breakout and retest are over. I’ll be looking to see whether it can take out the 8.06 area. If it can, the next target is 8 3/4, and beyond that look for something around 9 3/4.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on PLNR at TheTechTrader site noting: Planar Systems Inc. (PLNR) had a huge breakaway gap on Friday on earnings, and a nice follow-through on Monday, up 1.28, or 20%, on 5.2 million shares. Nowhere near what it had on Friday, but you wouldn’t expect that. I'm looking for it to extend to 8 3/4 short-term.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SYMBOL OREX at TheTechTrader site noting: Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (OREX) had a huge day on Monday. It was up 1.28, or 33 1/4%, on 15.4 million shares. It closed pretty well, but about 20 cents off the high. Nevertheless, it was still a solid session, with big volume, especially breaking through the 50-day moving average and lateral resistance. So let’s see if it will extend. The next target is around 6 1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on INFN at TheTechTrader site noting: Infinera Corporation (INFN), one of our swing trades, is acting well. It popped, broke out, pulled back, and held support on Monday. The next target is a test of 16.45, and then 18.00.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GOGO at TheTechTrader site noting: Gogo Inc. (GOGO) is one stock I want to show you because of the big reversal. On Monday, it went from 3.40 off the low, and closed a dime off the high at 18.40, up 1.76, or 10.6%, on 9.1 million shares. Quite a reversal day. A spike up right off the line at 15.72 and right through resistance. What I’m looking for is follow-through to test the 19 1/2-3/4. Once it gets through that, if it can, look for 22 1/2, and then 25. Those are my next targets.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ZLTQ at TheTechTrader site noting: ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc. (ZLTQ) we put a swing trade on today. I’ve been watching this stock for a long time, and as you know, I put a swing trade on it at 27.74. It then popped and pulled back, and had a nice swing trade on it. It orderly retraced the channel. If it gets to the top of the channel, or anywhere near it, look for this to be a 35-dollar stock here.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on RDNT at TheTechTrader site noting: RadNet, Inc. (RDNT) reached our swing target on Thursday. Pre-market it hit 11, and change. Thursday’s post-opening high was 10.35, because it did come back down pre-market, and dropped all the way down to 9.36, before closing at 9.85. Not an impressive finish. Nevertheless, when you look at the overall chart pattern, it’s up against resistance. If it gets through here, it’s a 12.00 dollar stock.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NLNK at TheTechTrader site noting: NewLink Genetics Corporation (NLNK), which we put a swing on Thursday, is acting well. The reason I put it on is that after the big move, and the .282 Fibonacci retracement, it’s holding price and moving average support. It popped out of the 2-week falling wedge. This stock has been down two days in a row, and on Thursday, it popped 3.94, or almost 13%, on 1.9 million shares. It had less volume in the last couple weeks. Definitely, a breakaway-type move. We’ve got to get it to move up to retest the 42 zone, and 42 is the short-term target. We’ll have to see what happens beyond that.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on IDTI at TheTechTrader site noting: Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDTI), which I put a swing trade on Wednesday, had a good day. I like the way it broke out, formed a beautiful wedge, the bottom receded, and then it popped again, closing at the upper end of the range, and across resistance. I’m expecting a test of at least 18 1/2-19 short-term, and then maybe it will get into the 22 zone.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FORM at TheTechTrader site noting: FormFactor Inc. (FORM) is acting great, along with many other semiconductor stocks, up 96 cents, or 12%, on 2 million shares, on Wednesday. The pattern for this stock over the last couple three years now, has moved it up to a breakout point that could very well test the big level of resistance at 10.40-.50, which is my next target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CRTO at TheTechTrader site noting: Criteo SA (CRTO) had a nice move on Wednesday. A big base had developed on this one. This stock came down in March at 61, and then got down into the low 20’s, around the 25 range. It bounced around, spiked up in three places, and then formed a falling channel. It broke out of that on Wednesday, up 6.44, or 22%, on 3.4 million shares. It popped, came across the declining topsline, moving average, and lateral price resistance. So, I’m looking for a quick test to see if it can get up to 37-37 1/4, but I think the target, for me, is going to be up around 40. If it breaks out of that level, then it’s on its way up to an important move as the major base pattern over the last several months will have been broken.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on HCLP at TheTechTrader site noting: Hi-Crush Partners i(HCLP) had a big drop, a big pop, it fell right at the declining topsline and the 50-day moving average. It rolled over, dropping 3.22, or 7.28%, on nearly a million shares. Again, in the case of a hike rush, 39 was support, Tuesday’s high was a low of 39.69 before bouncing, but should it take that out, we could see 34-35.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on EMES at TheTechTrader site noting: On the short sided, Emerge Energy Services (EMES) rolled over hard and came down for about two weeks in a row. It bounced sharply on short covering, in my opinion, and then rolled over after double-topping. On Tuesday, it broke support, dropping another 6.59, or 7.5%, on 1.3 million shares. Technicals are very negative. I’m looking for this to retest 69 1/2-70. That could be about a 10-12 short here. If it gets below that it could get ugly.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GRPN at TheTechTrader site noting: Groupon, Inc. (GRPN) is having a good time of it—a breakaway gap, and the moving averages are moving sharply higher. It may get a pullback at some point. I think I put my swing trade target at 8 3/4 first. After that, we’re looking at 9 3/4-10.
