Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on TGI at TheTechTrader site noting: Triumph Group, Inc. (TGI) has a classic head-and-shoulder top and a breakdown bear wedge. We had to put this out on Tuesday as a short. The target is a major move down to about 68.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on MSTR at TheTechTrader site noting: MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) has been in a downtrend for a long time, and it’s gotten even uglier. This stock may very well come down and test the 83 zone. It apparently wants to break the bear flag of sorts.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on CRR at TheTechTrader site noting: CARBO Ceramics Inc. (CRR) broke down in early May and formed a wedge over the last couple weeks. It feels like it wants to go lower and break down to the low 60’s.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on CCL at TheTechTrader site noting: Carnival Corporation (CCL) is not doing so well. After breaking down in January, it snapped back to resistance, and then broke down again and formed a wedge, moved back up in a rising wedge, only to reach the top of the parallel channel. On Tuesday, it broke downside, dropping 1.41, or 4.28%, on 22.5 million shares. It may bounce. It’s right at the support level. We’ll have to keep tabs on that. If it does break through that, the next target is 30-30 1/2.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on YRCW at TheTechTrader site noting: YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) did great on Monday. It had an explosive breakaway gap, a move up to resistance, formed a nice little pennant or coil, broke out, stalled for two days, and then popped again on Monday, up 2.87, or 15%, on 10 million shares. This stock is in run-away mode, and with 8.43 short-covering ratio, this could very well spike up into the mid 20’s before it’s over.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on FSLR at TheTechTrader site noting: First Solar, Inc. (FSLR), one of our favorite solars, which we put a swing trade on recently, moved up in a 5-wave advance, pulled back, and on Monday, it popped 4.91, or 9.8%, on 11.5 million shares. It reached the top of the channel. The target was 51-52 and it got up to 55.50. In six-short weeks this stock has gone from the 26-7 range and doubled. The key is the resistance line which could lead to more upside. The next target is 60-61, if the market does want to take it even higher.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on YRCW at TheTechTrader site noting: YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) has had phenomenal action. A major base formed in the last year and a half, or so. It closed the breakaway gap, ran up to form a little wedge, broke out slightly on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, it had a nice follow-through, up 3.40, o 21 1/2%, on 1.8 million shares. Look for mid-to-high 20’s on this one.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on UNXL at TheTechTrader site noting: Uni-Pixel, Inc. (UNXL) had a nice day in that the wedge, or coil, that was forming popped 1.25, or 3.7%, on nearly a million shares. That’s the best volume in a few weeks. It’s moving through the declining topsline. Be watching for it to get through 37, and then 40 will be tested, but we may see this stock get as high as 48-50 eventually. So don’t be surprised if you see that.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on HIMX at TheTechTrader site noting: Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) is doing wonderfully. The major trend is up. The channel is up. It broke out of a wedge on Wednesday, and popped 82 cents, or 12%, on 13.6 million shares. That’s the second biggest volume in a while. More importantly, it looks like it’s going to the top of the channel. We may see 8 3/4, maybe as high as 9 short-term.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on Symbol at TheTechTrader site noting: Theravance Inc. (THRX) is one of our swing trades that is doing great. It has had an explosive move in the last two days, particularly Monday’s breakaway gap. On Tuesday, it was up 67 cents, or 1.6%, on 3.2 million shares. One negative may be near the top of the channel, but if it does pull back and consolidate here, the next target is 46, and then 50-51.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on HIMX at TheTechTrader site noting: Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) popped out of the wedge, or coil, that was forming on Tuesday, jumping 45 cents, or 7%, on 6.4 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in five sessions. If it can just get over the spike high that reversed at 7.10, reach 7 1/2, and then 8 3/4.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on AEGR at TheTechTrader site noting: Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AEGR) has been one of our swing trades and one of our favorites since it broke out in Oct-Nov. It has a beautiful channel up, consolidation, pop, wedge, held above the prior resistance becoming support, broke out again, and it’s running. It was up 1.45, or 3%, on nearly a half million shares on Tuesday. It’s headed up toward 50-51, which is the target short-term. This swing trade met our target on Tuesday at 47, and it was raised to 48 1/2, so we’ll see what happens.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on XOMA at TheTechTrader site noting: XOMA Corporation (XOMA), which has been running for the last three days, popped through key-overhead resistance on Monday, jumping 33 cents, or 8.3%, on 1.9 million shares. Volume was a little lower than it has been. A couple of triple-tops were taken out. This may be headed up towards 6 3/4-7 range. That's the swing trade target on it.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on THRX at TheTechTrader site noting: Theravance Inc. (THRX) has had a monster move in the last couple sessions. In just two sessions, it had a big reversal day on Friday, a breakaway gap on Monday, and then a pop of 6.36 or 18%, on 8.2 million shares. That’s the second best volume in a month. The top of the short-term channel has been reached, but momentum is a funny thing on this one. Eventually, it appears, this stock is going to reach 50.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on SPWR at TheTechTrader site noting: SunPower Corporation (SPWR) has been running steadily since it broke the declining topsline and lateral resistance, it stalled for four days at key resistance, broke out, and the swing trade is on, tagging the target in the 18-19 zone, reaching 19 1/2. It may see 23 before it’s all over.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on CZR at TheTechTrader site noting: Caesars Entertainment Corporation (CZR) has been in a nice up-trend since November. The channel calls for a move up to 25 or better, but not quite yet. The action on Monday shows a pop of 1.00, or 6.66%, on 1.5 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in about 3 weeks. Breaking out of a falling wedge was a good thing. Look for a test of 17 3/4-18 zone. If it gets through the 18-18 1/4 area, it could really fly. There’s a big short position in this one. Look for a target of 19-20, and then 22-23.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on TSLA at TheTechTrader site noting: Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) had a monstrous day on Thursday, up 13.61, or 24%, on 28.5 million shares. It backed way off in the last hour but had been up as much as 19 at one point in the day. We traded that on Thursday at the 70-1 range, but it reached as high as 75.77. It’s well done in terms of the trend. It could pull back at the opening gap around the 63 area.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on OWW at TheTechTrader site noting: Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (OWW) had a significant day on Thursday. It has run from 2.00 and change all the way up to 8.00, almost quadrupling. The last few moves and the consolidation held the moving averages and lateral-price support, and formed a topping on Thursday, up 1.37 to 7.82, or 21%, on 4.2 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in a couple years. It’s significant because it comes in at a time when this stock has tested a major, major neckline going back five years. We could see this stock continue to 10-12 in the near-term.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on GMCR at TheTechTrader site noting: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR) had a spectacular session, up 16.56, or 28%, on 26 million shares, closing not far off the high for the day at 76.04. The top of the major channel was taken out, and two-year resistance was taken out. Right now the highs in February 2012 at 71 was taken out. Key-overhead resistance now comes in at the 80-2 zone. So look for it to extend and get up to that level. There may be a follow-through in the next couple sessions.
Harry has posted a Charts of the Day video on QIHU at TheTechTrader site noting: Qihoo 360 Technology (QIHU), which we put out a swing trade on, did quite well on Wednesday. It popped through several levels of resistance earlier this week, had an inside day on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, it ran up to 38.07, pulled back and closed at 38.00, up 1.14, or 3%, on 2.1 million shares. The swing-trade target on this one is 43-44.
