Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on UNIS at TheTechTrader site noting: Unilife Corporation (UNIS) had a nice move on Tuesday. Not only did it pop out of a wedge, it exploded near resistance, and closed at 4.56, up 54 cents, or 13.4%, on 9.6 million shares. After hours it traded all the way up to 4.78 again. It’s interesting that earlier in the session it reached 4.79. That’s the resistance for Wednesday. If it moves through, or gaps up above 4.80 on Wednesday, there’s some resistance at 4.90. If it gets through that, it’s off to the races.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on REFR at TheTechTrader site noting: Resatearch Frontiers Inc. (REFR) had a huge move on Monday, up 1.34 to 6.53, or 26%. It had a breakout, then a coil, a falling wedge, a breakaway gap, and huge record volume of 1.5 million shares. The double top-triple top is showing up at the 7.60 range, which is the next target, followed by longer-term resistance at 9.00, which is the secondary target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CSIQ at TheTechTrader site noting: Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), a swing trade of ours, had a little 2-day pullback that started to move on Friday, and on Monday, it popped another 1.01, closing at 26.67, or 3.9%, on 3.3 million shares. That’s a little pickup in volume, but more importantly, when it does, if it does, get through the 27.35 area, it should test quickly the 28 1/2 range. Maybe it will even get up into the low 30’s, 33 looks like a good target.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on HOTR at TheTechTrader site noting: Chanticleer Holdings, Inc. (HOTR) bounced 21 cents to 2.41 on nearly a million shares. After the pullback, I wanted to see if the trendline was going to hold, which it did. The 50-day moving average is at 2.08, and price support is at 2.10. It spiked from a low of 2.20 on Thursday, and ran to 2.52, before settling back to 2.41. I think Wall Street has started to know it. The next target will be a test of 3-3 1/4, and eventually 3.90.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on UNIS at TheTechTrader site noting: Unilife Corporation (UNIS) came down at support at the 20-day and lateral price support, and bounced. After hours they announced the secondary. It’s a shelf secondary, and some of it’s private through Piper Jaffery and Jeffries. They’re going to get this done very quickly. It may be done near the market price. I’m told not to think much of it. But, of course, we don’t want this stock down below 4, ideally. It was down 4.04 Thursday evening, so let’s just see if it holds and moves right back up again. Any move through 4.90, we’re looking at 5 3/4-6 1/2 range.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on TA at TheTechTrader site noting: TravelCenters of America LLC (TA), which broke out of its consolidation on Friday, followed through on Monday, up nearly a dollar at 98 cents to 15.71, or 6.55%, on 931,200 shares traded. Looking at the long-term chart, a major, 4-year resistance level was not only broken, but retested, and now it’s moving up. The target is 17 short term, and on an intermediate basis look for the target to be 24-5. It could be spectacular. Long-term, it looks like important moves may be underway. Keep an eye on it the next couple days.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on SIGM at TheTechTrader site noting: Sigma Designs, Inc. (SIGM) appears to be extending its move with a recent break above lateral resistance from the January high. On Tuesday, it closed up 22 cents to 8.09, or 2.8%, on 1 million shares. Volume continues to be strong, with last two days the strongest volume since January. The rising channel points to a target of 10-10 1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FEYE at TheTechTrader site noting:FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) had a breakout in February that has turned into a nice flagging consolidation in recent weeks. The stock is right near the bottom of the up-channel, and could be entered here with a stop under 40 1/2-1/4. If it holds this bottom trendline and runs, it could head into the low-to-mid 50's. Watching for a break above 43 1/2 to spur the move higher.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on NLNK at TheTechTrader site noting: NewLink Genetics Corporation (NLNK) had a beautiful, a 3-day snapback. It didn’t look good at one point. It held support, zone, and the 50, turned around two days ago, spiked on Friday, and then on Monday, it was right back up near the high at 57.47, about 80 cents away. If it gets through this, the angle of decent will need to change. The long-term channel looks intriguing. Target is 70 plus.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GENE at TheTechTrader site noting: Genetic Technologies Limited (GENE) finally made the big pop, up 1.24 to 4.94, or 33 1/2%, on 12.6 million shares. That’s the best volume since February. It had a big move with a long pullback that was about a 50% retracement. The important thing about today is that it jumped with a gap through three moving averages, the 10, 21, and 50, closing within a penny of the high for the day. It looks like it may take a run at the 6.65 range, which is the next target. Keep an eye on this one. There is a bit of a gap that comes in around 5.50. That could be your challenge for Tuesday. If it moves through there, it should come in around 6.50. So those are your short-term targets.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on HZNP at TheTechTrader site noting: Horizon Pharma, Inc. (HZNP), along with the acquisition, struggled on Monday. Three and a half days to cover didn’t hurt. It closed on Friday at 21.81, ran up to 25.95 on Monday, backed off to 24.55, and then closed at 25.75, up 3.97, or 18.2%, on 13.7 million shares. It held steady after the gap up, and a beautiful move. The top of the channel says it has more to go. Potentially, on a short-term basis, it could see 27, and after it accelerates, even more.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CYBR at TheTechTrader site noting: Cyber-Ark Software Ltd. (CYBR) appears to have broken out on Tuesday. The highs were taken out with little gaps and a run, and closed at the highs for the day, up 3.73 to 66.37, or 6%, on 2.7 million shares. Action is strong. The channel should be testing 70-70 1/2 range, which is the near-term target. Secondary target is 75.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on GBSN at TheTechTrader site noting: Great Basin Scientific, Inc. (GBSN) exploded early on, and then late in the day it backed off. With this kind of a 3-day move where on the first day it popped out of wedge and then pulled back, the same may be the case here. It did break out of a wedge on Wednesday, up 1.44 to 4.98, or nearly 41%, on 16.6 million shares, which is monster volume for this stock, but there were only about 8 million shares outstanding. For the most part, there is a potential extension if there is any kind of follow-through whatsoever. The target is up near 9.00.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting: Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) has been an absolutely fantastic swing trade, having gone from under 10 to 14 1/4 in the last couple weeks. On Monday, it was up 71 cents to 14.21, or 5.26%, on 9.1 million shares. It looks like it still has strong momentum. Although it’s long-in-the-tooth, it could continue to thrust, but it’s just too far too fast.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on CLDX at TheTechTrader site noting: Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. (CLDX) continues to look good, reaching over 24.00 for the first time on Tuesday. Actually, it reached 24.15, before backing off to 23.71, up 47 cents, or 2%, on 1.9 million shares, with good technicals. If the market would stabilize, this stock has the potential to tag 25, and then get up into the 30 range. We’ll just have to see what the market does over the next few days.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on OPK at TheTechTrader site noting:Opko Health, Inc. (OPK) swing trade is working. First we hit our 11 1/2 target, and now it’s up to 12 3/4. On Thursday, it was up another 52 cents, or 4.6%, on 4.8 million shares. That’s the biggest volume in about 4 weeks. It’s looking like it accelerated here.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on FEYE at TheTechTrader site noting: FireEye, Inc. (FEYE) had a good day on Tuesday, up 98 cents to 36.52, or 2.76%, on 5.7 million shares. I’m looking to see if it will take out the line of support at this level that’s going all the way back to July. If it takes that out, it could easily take out 42, which is the intermediate-term target, potentially all the way up to 50 potentially. But first it has to take out resistance at 36.52. Watch this one, and the next day or so, if it gets through 37 1/2-3/4 it can make a run toward 42.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ZIOP at TheTechTrader site noting: ZIOPHARM Oncology, Inc. (ZIOP) has had a fantastic run-up since October, and doesn't look like it's done yet. It appears to be trying to come out of a consolidation that it’s been in the last six or seven days. It fought back from a low of 13.12 on Tuesday to close at 13.71, up 48 cents, or 3.6%, on 3.4 million shares. A breakout above 14 1/4 could take it to the 18, 19, or even 20 zone.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ANET at TheTechTrader site noting: Arista Networks, Inc. (ANET) popped last month and pulled back, and has since moving very nicely from 67 and change to about 74 1/4. That was its intraday high on Tuesday, with its close at 73.65, up 2.12 on 1.8 million shares. My next target is 78, and then 81 1/2.
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on MDR at TheTechTrader site noting: McDermott International Inc. (MDR) is a very neat little electrical service company, up just 7 cents on Wednesday to 3.81, or 1.87%, on 7 million shares. It’s in a big downtrend, going from 8.00 down to 2.00. It has an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, and has been up four days in a row, volume and OBV have been increasing every day. A good target for this stock is 4 1/4, and if it gets through that, then 4.30-5, maybe.
