Rite Aid purchases “stuff” from producers and stocks their shelves with these products.
Rite Aid then has to have lots of shelves space and locations to distribute sell this stuff.
Rite Aid reads the newspapers, magazines and internet articles and know it has to adapt to new concepts such as health clinics.
Strategic advantage? Yes many locations, actually trying to get more locations.

I looks like folks are coming to their senses. The stores are doing just fine navigating the way forward.
The economy is continuing its healing, less unemployment and less cost of gas. Gosh, I think I will stop in to Rite Aid on the way home tonight and pick up some Halloween Candy for the kids.
When you borrow someone else’s stock and sell it with a date certain to return it sounds like a DEAD BROKE Bounce!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

The Rite Aid company is in the distribution business. It seems that there is a lot of confusion on this board just what we looking at here.
Yes, RAD has a heavy debt burden; but why? Well they bought more stores that’s why.
So what does that mean? Well if you are Proctor and Gamble, GNC, Kimberly Clark or any of the other manufactures of product to sell as well as prescriptions to sell (distribute) Rite Aid is a good choice to work with. Why, because they can provide lots of shelve space in lots of locations.
Now I do not know have effective (aggressive) the supply chain for RAD is, but given the number of locations they should be getting great deals on products (margins).
So as long as they are positive on cash they are growing the business. The only question is how fast, revenues may be down but that just temporally effects the rate of growth. As long as they are still in the game good things will happen.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Do you spend your day just watching RAD and counseling longs to sell? If you have sold then move on we don’t need your wisdom consisting of BS with nothing to back it up.
We know this stock price reflects a way oversold position a major move up is going to happen.
Someone is playing a very effective game here right now, looking for the weak hands and lack of nerve.
    Thus far they are winning!

Whatever is tamping down the stock right now has no bearing to the facts. The turn up will most certainly come in dramatic fashion in due time. “Set it and forget it”
If you are in for the long pull, rejoice in your patience you will be rewarded handsomely!

There is more ranting and raving on this board regarding the stock price melt down where NO FACTS are provided.
Some entity is moving this price it is not happening on its own. The RAD stores are operating just fine with no dramatic change in $. No massive store closings, no suppliers who remain un paid, not a debit payment missed. A great number of stores for much exposure to the buying public. No scandal.
    So…………….what is this all about?
Someone is very cleverly moving this stock down, someone with lots of means to do it!
This does not pass the smell test folks!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Someone is up to something under handed here.
RAD still has plenty of “street presents” and is on the mend. Got to believe someone is moving the stock price around to make a move on a back door buy. There is no financial reason for this much of downward spiral. Show me the numbers in the future P/L that support this trend.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • This entire sector/Drug Stores is on or should be the upswing.
I don’t know why anyone would believe otherwise. Once again; ACA, Demographics, (population getting older) steady improvement in the Economy. Also for an immediate kicker we are some 65 days from cold and flu season.

I agree! This is another way of saying what I am trying to get at. The future earnings should be a drive in moving the stock price. The entire drug store sector will be moving forward as the market for that retail will increase. Something is holding this back???

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

From my point of view the whole drug store sector will be going up over the long term.
Why just look at the Affordable Care Act, the USA demographics, and the current but slow job growth.
What in the world are the sellers doing?? What better place to put your money?? This is a turn around company that is at the end of the beginning of the turnaround. Could be some game playing here buy someone trying to sneak in the back door on the cheap.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Come back and see me 2016

Up, down, down, up! Look most of us can’t time the market we have jobs and families.
The long term direction looks pretty good to me. We have seen continue improvements in all areas of the business. The company is managing/steering a path that will sustain it.
Soon expect RAD to stand with their competitors with a similar stock price.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The market is in a mood, we have gone from investments to casino mode, looks like this storm may last a little while.

Insmed is not making widgets. They are a biotech development company. You know development where you must meet FDA and federal regulations.
This sector will always be volatile. The “quick fix” traders rule for now. Both longs and shorts.
The next positive news will quickly make up all of the losses plus! Don’t you all really down deep know this to be true?
The company has the same potential pipe line it had this past June!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
