ok. i'll bite.
radioshack is a retailer with no technology that they can call their own. and AMZN is crushing them.
ALU is better compared to IBM. Why?
- BOTH IBM and ALU has world-renowned laboratory (watson and bell)
- IBM jettisoned low-margin, low-tech product lineup and moved to the high-end servers and consulting
with fatter margin. ALU is doing just that.
- Both IBM and ALU went through difficult times and successfully re-emerged as the leader in the industry.
- Both IBM and ALU is 100 year old company
- Both IBM and ALU is strategically important to its home country.
IBM went through difficult times and their stock dropped as low as $10 if my memory serves me right.
ALU is in the midst of the difficult transition but it's on track to reemerge as the leader in the industry with
rapid transformation of its product portfolio.
so, u are bitter that ur investment in RSH went south. should've invested in ALU instead
what a sad little man... did u lose all ur money on ALU or something? did u buy it when it was hovering at $60s?
i'm long on ALU and i'm planning to take advantage of this dip and buy more.
i'm thinking to spend up to another $300k on it.
what would be the best strategy?
i'm thinking maybe $100k at $3.10 and another $100k at $3.00 and $2.90 but i'm not sure if ALU
would even go that low. it seems to be at rock-bottom right now but then i was thinking the same thing since
any advice, especially from those who can read chart?
or would it be the best to hold cash until next earning?
all the bad news is out and reflected in the current price.
unless u are expecting the WWIII, things(with ukraine and gaza and all) are about as bad as it can
possibly get and the share price still hovers well above $3.
Nobody is talking about ALU going bankrupt because the financing has been secured for all the incoming
debt that are due.
in other words, we are at the rock bottom.
i don't know about u guys but i buy low and sell high. that's one way to make money and
it's been working for me exceptionally well. some people want you to sell. just take a look at
this board and wonder why.
i happen to have Sprint and it's like the worst ever!
i got lured into their plan cuz it was cheap and unlimited but half the time it just doesn't work!
and it's not like i live in the middle of nowhere i live in the largest city in my state.
they better invest serious amount of $$$ into their coverage or i might just switch to Verizon like i should've
in the first place.
now that the uncertainty is gone, i expect capex binge on sprint's part. it can only be good for the ALU.
i bought S at $4~5, only to see it drop below $2... sold it and got out.
now look at where S is now. i literally felt sick.
if u get out of ALU now, u will feel only sicker later on.
imagine if ALU is hovering at $4.50... wouldn't u love the opportunity to buy it at the bargain price of $3.25?
well, here's ur chance.
The Shift Plan is being executed well and the CEO Combes said just that. And based on his past performance,
I see no reason to doubt his statement. Morgan Stanley believes that also.
the only thing that's worrying me is the externalties. the stock market is due for the correction sooner
or later and various geopolitical issues (ukraine and israel-gaza) worry me.
but with ALU so much down already, I'm hoping that ALU had taken the blunt of the hit already should
the worst come.
the continued presence of the bashers and shorties comforts me a little cuz it means ALU is still closely
being watched by both sides.
when the stock went below a dollar. that was SCARY!
i kept my shares but i didn't buy more when i could've easily doubled my shares.
oh well. u learn from ur past mistakes...
this little dip is NOTHING compared to what ALU went through that days.
ALU is stable and on track to becoming profitable with ZERO possibilities of bankrupcy.
back then, the bankrupcy was a real possibility.
that's why i see this dip as a blessing in disguise and i'm buying all i can right now...
i'm happy with the result. yes, there's room for the improvement but i'll take what i get.
plus, i plan to keep adding in the next few months so this may be a blessing in disguise for me.
i'm a long term investor and a minor setback doesn't faze me a bit...
now is the time to invest in ALU and make some serious dough :)
it would be funny if ALU declared bankrupcy. it didn't so i'm so not worried. i'm buying all i can starting next week. laugh while u can and enjoy cuz i'll be enjoying cheap shares too :)
"We are now able to repay the secured loan and regain full ownership of our patent portfolio rejoices leader."
color me impressed!
