First post ever from Mr. Ed's buddy.
These are pretty provocative accusations from someone alluding to inside information.
Unless you are FOS, then tell us what you've got.
"A purchase of 1M shares would potentially lift the price by at least $6 making the trade worth it."
Now THAT's an interesting supposition! The question, of course, would be if the SP held the increased "valuation" or not. It sort of looks like the low volume recently may be due, in part, to folks having made their evaluation of Dex's nearer and intermediate term prospects and taken their positions. So, If folks are reluctant to take small gains now to hold out for larger gains later, any buying action would be a perfect storm in combination with a potential 2mm share short covering against the short sales in the $4.50 - $7 range when actual (hopefully) good news comes in August.
I've generally been a skeptic of the persistent wishful thinking of the long-running Short Rally Thesis for Dex.
However, the options theory you propose makes the whole thing more interesting.
BTW, that Red Thumb was mine. Meant to click green and wasn't paying enough attention - Yahoo won't let you change it once made. oops.
That steep curve starting at around 11AM yesterday and ending around 11 today was looking pretty serious.
So what do they pay an ineffectual pumper like you to SPAM about a channel stuffing dinosaur that has recalled more cars in the last 12 mo that it has "sold" in the last couple years.
"Its brewing" -
muss be gas, cause the SP is not winding the right way.
Looks like the SA PRO subscribers are unloading the shares recently acquired before the "very positive article" was released a few days ago to the riff raff who don't pay SA several thousand a year to read such copy in advance.
The volume was too high for this to be trend meaningful trading.
The only times I remember seeing such relatively huge volume trading on such a relatively low average volume issue without comparably huge price moves is pre-arranged trading. Is there a Russell re-balancing, or something of that sort, in play?
Uh Oh. Thomson Reuters/Verus is usually lagging, at best, and frequently contrarian.
Kinged, I see the news, apparently good, came in this weekend, but MNKD SP failed to achieve the liftoff you anticipated. I'm curious about what you think has happened (or didn't happen) and if you are still holding it?
I'd post over there, but the #$%$'s flying so fast and furious on the MNKD board, from all side as usual in these matters, that you'd probably never see it. I have no position there, just been following your posts on this with some interest.
Where, Bob? Maybe as in "dont let them get 'OUR!!!' easy...its their turn to suffer now".
Are you sure somebody wants your easy?
"a filing error that they corrected"
VERY interesting! I saw the "sale", and I saw the increased holdings, so it looked like he sold some at a big profit, then re-accumulated at a much lower price so that his new larger position was held virtually for free.
Please tell us where (as specifically as Yahoo's anti-linking bots will permit) we can see this refiling/correction documentation. Thanks
...at the time of the precipitous decline from $16 towards $4.50.
If volume will pick up along with the SP, this could propel Dex into the mid-teens as a new support level pretty soon.
Early July is the qtly report, I think. I'm looking forward to that.
Ahhhh, yes. Definitely JoeL.
What WAS I thinking (facepalm)?!
Although, its not merely funny.
I actually feel like I need to go take a shower now, given how you obviously feel about seanoise.
I mistook you for something other than a complete fool.
Now I remember. You are JoeL.
You responded to my post with seanoise's ID name.
Do you think I am seanoise?
Wow! First of all, I didn't know there was a level 3.
I live on the ground floor.
Secondly, some rich guy with $1.78mm to throw around has gotta be tempted to take that on a short sale, and flip it. Bob, you there? :)
Gotta say that in a rather consistently down market, Dex has been hangin' in there quite well.
Something's up, besides the SP.
maybe if you pull REAL hard, you can POP your head out of your virtual #$%$
