I'm not sure what you are talking about. Institutions own over 100 million shares, last I checked it was 27% of the float.

Maybe it is so that the CC coincides with the open of trading on the TASE. I'm just speculating. I've never seen a management team that has such disregard for their shareholders.

This stock is blatantly manipulated, but management doesn't seem to care. They need to buy shares to show support, not receive free shares and sell them.

I agree with everything you said, except for not expecting much on Friday and Monday. I think there is big news coming, if for no other reason than the shorts have really been working hard the last two days to bring it down. Why the full court press now?

Correct. Sanofi knows all of the above. But Al Mann isn't going to sell his prize possession for pennies on the dollar. SNY has first rights to MNKD, but that isn't the issue. The issue is that Al isn't going to sell for $10/share, probably not even $100/share, so this BO theory is BS.

For all those that think Sanofi is going to dump MNKD/Afrezza, they have already done a lot of legwork, so do you think they are going to let a competitor come in and benefit from all the effort they have put in? Friday and Monday should see the share price move north significantly. I think the shorts are getting close to 3rd degree burns if they don't act fast.

Yes, but one major catalyst hits and you will get out with major pain when all shorts are racing for the door. It will wipe out all of your miniscule gains that you've made over the last year. Keep shorting. I want to see 150 million shares short, then watch you idiots try to cover all at once.

That theory has Lawsuit written all over it. Al Mann isn't going to allow that so that MNKD can be sold for pennies on the $. If that were the case, they wouldn't market it to the ROW until they owned it. You need to listen to yourself. Please think these theories thru before posting such drivel.

Partnership doesn't prohibit SNY from an equity stake, it just limits it to 5%.

I think SNY announces they own 5% of the company when they lay out their plan on the 6th. As for 10%, it will be in index funds, not by a single entity such as TEVA.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that TEVA and MNKD are partnering on TS for pain relief.

As for the index funds buying, I'm hoping for them buying off the open market, at least a significant portion of the shares that have to be purchased. If the share price were to go up due to announcements on Friday and Monday, that would lower the number of shares that had to be bought by the 5 indices. It will be an interesting week. I'm just hoping we stop the bleeding.

True, I didn't explain myself. I believe that SNY and MNKD are going to release significant news on the 6th and 9th respectively. So, if this were to happen, then the pps would hopefully rise to where they could sell bonds as opposed to diluting at these prices. If they have some time, then we shouldn't dilute at these prices.

I've never bashed management, but if they dilute at these prices, they really aren't doing their jobs. They should sell convertible bonds, with a conversion price well north of this. Bond investors would invest if it had a decent yield and this would allow the company not to dilute at these prices. The opportunity to convert is just an added bonus.

If it were a quarterly report being held on Friday, then I would be concerned, but since this is SNY's conference to enlighten everyone about their 5 yr plan, I'm not really too concerned. actually, if they announce anything significant, it will scare the #$%$ out of the shorts, having no way out over the wknd. I believe this is the case. Then MNKD announces their quarterly report on Monday. Could be a double whammy....

    TASE trading

You show me where is says anything about issuing shares:

VALENCIA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MannKind Corporation (MNKD) today announced that the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) has approved the new listing of MannKind's common shares beginning on October 28, 2015 under the ticker symbol MNKD. Based on the current market capitalization, MannKind's shares are anticipated to be included in five TASE equity indexes: TASE's TA-75, TA-100, TA-BlueTech, TA-Tech-Elite and TA-Biomed.

"The new listing also offers an opportunity to expand and diversify our shareholder base by increasing our exposure and improving our accessibility to Israeli investors," said Hakan Edstrom, President and CEO of MannKind. "This listing is also an extension of the long-standing relationship between our Executive Chairman, Alfred Mann, and the Israeli biotechnology industry, including the Alfred Mann Institute at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology)."

TASE CEO, Yossi Beinart said, "We welcome MannKind to the TASE Dual Listing, and believe that this is a recognition of the Biomed sector's special position at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. MannKind has long and strong relations with the Israeli Biomed Sector, via the founder and executive chairman Mr. Alfred E. Mann, one of pioneers of the Biomed sector in the U.S., who has supported developing and commercializing Israeli technologies for many years. We are proud that a company with a market value of more than a billion US dollars chose to join 50 dually-listed companies, as well as the TASE leading indices. Joining TASE entitles MannKind to significant benefits, including added exposure among Israeli investors, extension of the trading duration, investment by Exchange Traded Product

vendors and easy access to institutional and retail investors."

It says NOTHING about dilution. The shares will clear on the NASDAQ. This is just another avenue for investors to trade shares. Post where is says anything about dilution.

They come out of the outstanding shares. No new shares are being issued. All trades close on the Nasdaq exchange. This just makes it easier for Israeli's to invest.

A lot has changed. Afrezza has lauched, DTC has started, plans are being made for global launch. With all these things happening, SNY is showing they are committed. Five % could have just been a # used as a starting point. I don't think Al will let anyone have more than 20-25 %, but I would think that their global marketing partner would be able to buy more than 5%. Any institution can do that if they have the assets to do it with.
