I don't know. I am sure it will sell off. What is the reason for the rally? Lets not count the chickens before they are hatched.
Those are valid concerns. But if they are executing right, sooner or later they will grow and reward the investors, hopefully sooner.
About the weather, it is not going to be as bad as last year, is it? I haven't seen any forecasts for the season. Has anyone?
I don't think anybody has the answer to that question. Just one of those anomalies in the market. Not always logical. I have seen that before many times.
May be I spoke too soon about followthroughs.
If we get a few good days we will make up some lost ground. But then, I better not put too much hope and set myself up for a disappointment.
and AUY and miners in general wanting to go up. Is this a sucker rally? or will this be a more durable one? Is the train about to leave the station? or it is simply a false positive? Only time can tell.
I also think that Mr. Strongman aka Putin might flex his muscles in a major way or foment more trouble with neighbors just to get the price up. With oil prices going down his tenure is seriously at risk. This might be a perfect setup for reckless behavior.
Miforfun -- Probably one of gasman's pseudonyms. Wouldn't put that past him, based on the sadistic delight that is evident in many of his posts.
Clapper, I am shocked that you of all the people will turn into a Teva-basher! just kidding :) You make a good point and you are entitled to your opinion (and that is what a message board is for).
Exactly. It is all about time frame. Of course in the long run, you also have to worry about bankruptcies, what the statisticians call the ruin probability. Owning a basket of drillers in this case can eliminate that risk.
If you are on margin your pain will be even more exacerbated. In fact, I think the selling has been so severe because of the margin calls faced by many, especially once you fall below the 5 dollar threshold, security becomes non-marginable as in the case of AUY. I have a feeling that 3's are the bottom. But I am still gun-shy about throwing more money at it. 2014 will end as another solid year for the market except gold/commodity bag holders.
