I've been reading your posts, and bought back in a few days ago...

PR says Oil found SOUTH of our leasehold..."oil that has been encountered in a down dip extension of the same Niobrara formation south of this leasehold"...

that puts our lease exactly between that oil mentioned in the PR and the Chevron field to our north...

"The Rangely Oil Field, located in northwestern
Colorado, is one of the oldest and largest oil
fields in the Rocky Mountain region. Since the
1940s, when large-scale development began, this
field has produced nearly 800 million barrels of
    oil"

Still don't trust the Principals, but the news lately is pretty darn good...

Learned a lesson from DEJ...divest in enterprises that you don't trust...

CEO should not play poker....he has a tell...

If there is another CC, his tell will tell the story...out of his control...I suspect he is doing his best, just drawing some mediocre cards lately with NG and world events...

PGM...hope you survive...hope you realize the large number of fish in the ocean can help you eat while you are landing the big one...

This could be the big one, or not...

    All IMHO

you sold DEJ and bought Brownstone at around 35 cents a while back...can you give us an update...is it still very hard to fill your orders...

  • Read it...they need $$$ to get through the 2012 year...not clear where it will come from...Maybe the recent bump was financing...maybe a head-fake...time will tell...they need some news before EPA announces frac rules on Federal lands in next few days

IMHO...Time...I will follow and may get back in if it survives 2012...its been about a year since talk of debt financing began...should have been plenty of time to make a deal..with storage filled by fall, could not think of a worse time for DEJ or other small gas producers to run out of money...maybe Woodrush will deliver...

    from SEC:

Future capital expenditures at Woodrush in the upcoming year of 2012 are expected to be approximately $1.2 to $1.5 million and funded through its cash flow from operations and the undrawn line of credit. In the U.S., the Company plans to drill up to eight wells during 2012 and its share of expenditures ranges from $6.5 to $11 million. The Company plans to fund the expenditures through additional financing, including debt, equity or joint venture financing, or disposal of non-core assets.

Risks related to financing continuing and future operations

We have a working capital deficiency and will be required to raise capital through financings. We may not be able to obtain capital or financing on satisfactory terms, or at all.

Maybe just my imagination, but it sounded like his stutter was worse when asked about equity financing...

Sorry, but DEJ lost my trust today...I guess it is possible that they are getting people to sell just before financing/sale of assets/gusher, but who cares if you cannot trust them...probably my problem and not theirs...doesn't matter...

    all IMHO

I must say that tomorrow is a toss-up in my mind...

We won't know until the dust settles if it was the buyers or sellers who did well today...buy-sell-hold...hope everyone did what was right for them...I doubt Institutions involved today, since they likely had more than DEJ to deal (take a look at the red on the 3D charts FINVIZ)...

Really impressive that more shares were not traded if there Really good or Really Bad news/CC on the way...the whole market was down today...with that in mind, the uncertainty since Friday was ripe for DEJ to get a good nudge lower...

kinda predictable bashing until something leaks (if there is anything to leak), or news tonight, or news tomorrow am, or until CC with no news...so the traders have some better guidance...

If we get to CC without news... Try4 may be right in predicting a yawner...lets hope they don't erroneously convey badness...they owe both retail and Institutional investors an explanation...and remember that our CEO owns many million shares...

Board is Really emotional...I will watch what transpires with great interest...I'll try to keep my posts to a minimum, so I don't invite basher responses...

suggestion for the longs is to put several bashers on ignore until news or CC, since there may be a psychops feeding frenzy tonight and tomorrow before CC...

This post really is my humble opinion, as I don't know how things will turn out...remember, the Amex is closed on Friday...don't bet what you don't have...

  • Ran across this Bloomberg...I still believe we could get bought, since a cold winter or LNG export in 2015 will drive NG up with powerplant conversions from coal, methanol conversion, NG cars etc...

Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PET)., the Malaysian state-owned oil company, is studying a Canadian acquisition exceeding $5 billion as part of the company’s drive to supply natural gas to Asia.

“This is going to be big,” Chief Executive Officer Shamsul Azhar Abbas said in a March 30 interview on the 81st floor of the company’s twin towers headquarters that dominates the Kuala Lumpur skyline. “There are quite a few candidates out there, who are willing to talk,” he said, adding a deal may be announced within three months.

Petronas, as the company is known, joins Asian peers including PetroChina Co., Mitsubishi Corp. and Cnooc Ltd. in seeking production in North America, where natural gas sells for less than 15 percent of Asian benchmark prices.

    Cheap Gas

Asian buyers have been lured by the growing difference between the price of gas in Asia and North America, where production has surged following the development of technology to extract gas trapped in shale rock. Gas has averaged $2.50 per million British thermal units this year on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Japan LNG import prices were $16.76 per million British thermal units as of Jan. 31, the most recent data.

Harold is right...there are several here that are planning to stay until 2014 or longer...in the meantime, I plan to have some fun reading, learning, and posting while waiting...

Does anybody think buying an oil/NGL/NG micro with the holdings of DEJ for under 50 cents won't pay off in the next 2-years...no, but some want to time the purchase perfectly, and others want to buy at the lowest possible poin...still others are simply not able to buy anything long...good luck to all strategies, as the goal of all is to make $$$

Who cares if there is no news in the next days...I personally thought the AR spelled things out pretty well..I am hoping they give us a Woodrush update on Thursday...correct me if I am wrong, but telling us production increased at Woodrush would not require separate PR...right?

In the short-run, news speculation provides entertainment...while we wait...

good one oilwars3...while not irrelevant to a 10-k, a stockhouse post from a basher is close...:)

I am guessing news because the funny timing of Friday numbers followed by Thursday conference call, its a g-u-e-s-s...everybody knows I am just having fun...

I am the first in line to know what goes around comes around...so I'd better shut up before it comes around my way...

best of luck to you...lets all make some $$$...

Okay...let me begin by clearly stating that I am a clueless individual investor...I don't have a clue if there will be news this week...I like DEJ...I am biased...

but let me get this straight...you are saying that if they have brand new material news in the second quarter of 2012...tomorrow, or the next day....your are tooting your horn by proclaiming that DEJ would have already been required in q4 annual report of 2011 to report q2 2012 material news...in the words of a DEJ antagonist.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

    you MUST be kidding...you gottadobetterthanthat...

oh-oh...did somebody short DEJ after the Friday head-fake?

Thats Wiki...we little guys without an adequate education go there when we smell floating oily things on this board...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    What an amazing day...

If I were running the company, I'd shake out the weak hands, let my institutional buddies buy their shares, then make a big announcement BEFORE my conference call...

PGM: is this what you mean by anticipating the company rather than being fickle? Also, can you tell us why you believe news needs to come before (rather than during) the conference call? If there is no news, it may be pretty boring on Thursday...of course, after last Friday, boring sounds pretty good...

    three cheers for Xli...hip-hip-hooray...thanks again.

Xli..Thanks again for all of your input...

I think the buys today make sense...probably Institutional as many retail longs already tapped out...also buybacks from the sellers Friday...

If it gets chased, there may be some good news in the very near term...at the very least the call on Thursday may be useful looking forward...

Thanks also to everyone on this board...especially those with business backgrounds that helped me understand the Friday numbers...even the bashers, as it was the basher interest 24/7 on the weekend that brought confidence that today might be pretty good...Time

Consider selling first thing in the morning Try...honestly, you seem so conflicted, and with your small position, it may not be worth your while...

I read your last post and those of cent and others... I cannot help but wonder why you spent the weekend on this board...

I am here to make (or lose) $$, to learn a few things about human nature, and as a hobby...

Not criticizing, I just don't get it...if you aren't invested, and you don't plan on investing...why do you care a wit about DEJ?

One thing that the Friday drop did accomplish...I'll bet quite a few investors took a look at DEJ over this weekend...if they made it to the DEJ annual report, there ain't much there to dislike, and there is a hellovalotta Woodrush oil and NGL potential to love...

if it rises in the morning, it might get chased...if it gets chased, who knows, but I'd guess it won't take 2 million shares to reach 40 cents...

I guess we will find out in the morning...at least we won't have to wait all day for numbers...

I suspect he doesn't have a good answer...none of us do...I should not have put him on the hook with the question, as corporate incompetence vs. manipulation seem to be answers to that question...it may simply be that in the short run, DEJ doesn't care about the retail-panicked share price...there may be other options, so I hope somebody asks that question to the CEO on Thursday to clear the air...

Right now, the question is how to play it this week...I hold a core position, but I also trade some...in this case, I plan to hold until Thursday...I believe the CC will be quite useful for understanding the rest of the year...

Honestly, the 2 million shares traded late Friday afternoon late really ain't that much money...but it still stinks for the little guys who sold...

if it bumps tomorrow early...call it a cheap lesson...

if it really drops and stays down...call the sellers Friday smart...

timing stinks either way, but I let it go after reading the reports on the DEJ webpage yesterday...hellova little company to own right now...

your thoughts on the week ahead?

  • timepassestime by timepassestime Apr 1, 2012 3:15 PM Flag

Friday is gone, lets look forward to tomorrow...

    1) The shorts may try to drop it tomorrow at the open. Let them, as it shouldn't stay down. Might see some Institutional buying. I'd guess just about every retail investor of any magnitude read this board over this weekend... if so, they won't be panic selling tomorrow...especially the Friday afternoon sellers. It now seems clear that the drop was panic, as the company still looks great for 2012-2013.

    2) Woodrush update should come Thursday. Since they have no plans to spend more $$ there in the short-run, it may just be possible that Thursday will provide info that the production is increasing and we are back on track.

    3) Financing update should come Thursday. I sure hope so anyway...it has been a long wait.

    4) JV update should come Thursday... I am thinking specifically about S. Rangely and Roan.

    5) Surprise could come Thursday...there is a reason this board is filled with bashers...I believe it is a very good sign.

    6) Foolish may describe somebody who would sell before hearing what they have to say on Thursday IMHO...be strong longs...

    Time

BTW: I am a little guy without a finance background. You might be a bit more careful with your comments about the little guys PGM...this is a board frequented by little guys and gals trying to figure out what is going on with their hard earned $$$...those little people who sold on Friday ( I did not sell a share) might think you sound a bit arrogant, as their futures are far from certain...we know that you are an expert on this company, but I missed the part of your thoughts that justify the timing of the PR on Friday...it stunk for the little guys who sold for a loss cause they really did not have a lot of time to review the info before the market closed...IMHO
