aren't you Clueless in Seattle ? so it's all about UAL is it ??? you better go get some game
By chance did you know that crude inventories have increased to the highest level ever in the US, the world's biggest oil consumer ? Don't minimize that either.
tough environment ???? the planes are jammed, no discounting, cost savings occurring. are you following the legacy airlines by chance ??? DAL loses tons of flights & is a virtual printing press of $$$.... AAL is on the same path.
Did you miss the 10-15 upgrades since the start of the year ? if you did hopefully you didn't the gigantic outperformance of AAL stock---up huge n a flat market. This is not an undiscovered stock by any means.
pay the tax man ! rookie mistake---seems like you are fearful of making size returns from here. No problem --- go speculate & mine for gold elsewhere.
WFT mgmt. reaffirmed their goals of $1.10--1.20 this year, with op cash flow of $500 mil & net debt reaching $7 bil in '14. 6600 headcount reduction has been recognized, with half already done so far. Also, WFT has been to close 20 underperforming locations with an additional 30 more targeted for Q2.
So with improving visibility on cost savings EPS of 40-50c in Q4 is increasingly coming into focus & off that run rate one can make the case that $1.80 for '15 will look increasingly obtainable, with an outside shot at $2 EPS next year.
The stock is underowned by most institutional funds & is trading at a significant discount to the group's top tier players, with that gap closing this year as mgmt. executes on its plan. Near-term that gets WFT to $23+ and a good case can be made for mid-$30s+ looking out to the end of '15 so there's an awful lot of potential upside left in WFT.
If WFT comes anywhere close to executing on their goals (cost savings, debt reduction, operational efficiency) and get close to $1.80 EPS next year this will be a mid $30+ stock sometime next year.
This awfully ugly ducking can have al the key attributes of a nice turnaround story that is underowned institutionally----margin expansion, increased mgmt. execution resulting in excellent Q EPS compares that can't be ignored. As WFT is hated by the street & the potential exists for the sun to come out over the next 3-6-9-12 months you have this former POS picking up a lot of investment support. HAL, BHI have been knocking the cover off the ball & IF WFT possibly narrows their discount this stock will continue to be a regular on the new-high list. No doubt WFT has been a disaster in the past but there's some new blood running the show which can change the perception among institutional investors. $23/share is the first target where the stock may pause but looking out into 2015 it still remains a very attractive story. I know there are many wall street analysts who will not ever say a nice thing about WFT so if they change their stripes..... !
you don't make any $$$ investing if you're always looking in the rear view mirror. I wonder who's aggressively buying in size today ????? throw in a little short-covering too ! wooppppeeeee
Overvalued based on what ? just 'cause you don't like it ? clearly you've not been paying very close attention here. The stock is not moving up 10%+ on huge volume because of the weather. You should do a little bit of homework on this one if you have any interest in WFT.
heavy midday volume of almost 26,000,000 shares is not enough for you ??? clearly there is not enough available stock for sale to satisfy the obvious demand today.
That's because the buy-and-hold types have lost all conviction over the last 3+ years of disappointment. This is a great restructuring story for everyone.
As the resident village idiot may (or may not) know only 1/3 of clinical development programs make it from Phase 2 to Phase 3. Its wise to focus on the potential for Phase 3 sarcoma to garner FDA approval as opposed to posting all kinds of noise about early stage announcements. Clearly you don't know better being new to biotech investing but please do a little homework on the side---you may learn why THLD is in the "show me" camp. Just because mommie may work there doesn't mean you have much of an idea why the stock is close to a 52 week low.
