Makes one wonder what little retail investors like beachball does when attempting to understand what's possibly going on it a stock. No surprise that there's constant skeptism & fear of the dark. But for those who put their funds in lottery type companies what should one expect ????
Look at the players who have just started taken positions in WFT----including David Tepper of Apaloosa who's arguably one of the top 5 investors out there. They just started in the low 20s with 2.5 mil shares & are likely adding on any weakness. There is so much to like about the WFT story--- IF you are willing to look forward on the story. WFT has the potential to be trading in the mid 30s (or better) looking out over the next year. On $2/sh in EPS, debt pay down & a much cleaner story WFT has a very favorable reward-to-risk. Shareholder Mario Gabelli says HAL is a likely buyer of WFT----I would also add GE which is building up their recent Lufkin acq & clearly wants to broaden their scope.
Its a shame you know so little about the financial markets. Many professional investors have consistently made outsized returns shorting start-up or developmental biotech companies selling a hope & a dream, with most never coming close to bearing fruit. But a small piker who appears to never know what's going on it's no surprise that you label all kinds of people who are seemingly not on the same side as you. But your ignorance & ego betray you every time....what a chump.
Who shorts a $3 stock with $2 in cash& no debt ? are you that clueless ?? From your relentless posting it shows that you are never without an opinion no matter how uninformed or ignorant it may be.
First of all the shareholders----owners of the company----will decide if there is ever an offer placed before them. Management owns a very small non-controlling position if this was ever to occur. Are you so new to the financial markets to make such naieve comments ??
SunTrust initiated new biotech coverage, naming ALXN (Strong Buy target $229) as their top large cap pick. Good detailed report.
Rodman is a small investment firm that is one of many sponsoring healthcare conferences in September & competing for investor attention. At the same time there are competing conferences from Morgan Stanley, Robert Baird & FBR. FWIW almost every company gives a boiler plate presentation unless they have a press release announcing new information for all investors to see so don't expect a big impact from their presentation.
THLD is so far off the radar screen of professional biotech investors that almost any positive results should have a significant increase in value---50+% is hardly a reach from current levels.
The board of directors have taken control out of the hands of the CEO, mandating the change of direction & the hiring of the new senior blood over the last year. Bernard likes the paychecks & is happy to go along----as he has not had much of a hand in leading the way for a number of years. Don't worry about him too much.
I know what he said---he mentioned HAL. You can watch on CNBC if you'd like. It won't happen until after WFT cleans up their picture & finishes their divestitures but the stock has a very good shot at getting to the mid-thirties++ on fundamentals anyway over the next year.
Perceptive is under water on their position but can hang around for a year or so. I don't see them bailing as it can be a winner looking out 12-18 months.
WFT is up because the options market are being aggressively bought----some trader bought 15,000 OCT calls ---- that's what the clown KNEW but didn't SAY (as it makes him look......smart !). Plus Mario Gabelli--GAMCO Funds & long WFT---made a comment last night on CNBC that he thinks someone like HAL could buy WFT up 50%. Najarian didn't pobably say that either
Healthcare hedge funds generally have the most success shorting in the micro-cap/small cap space where mgmts. are often promotional/less experienced in their pursuit of FDA approvals & the stock develops a retail following. ACRX falls right into that space.
You must have been asleep the last few years---no surprise there ! You were calling for ......breakthrough therapy designation ??? How'd that work out for you ? Major biotech bull market----and you missed it ! so sad.....it seems you only like lottery ticket stocks. Dendreon ? Toast! EVER had one go up ????? keep the comedy coming little miss know-it-all ! at least your mean spiritness is still around-----love that about you !
I agree---it will likely be boiler-plate commentary & relegated to a unattractive time to present.
