Hopefully the massive insider selling is a thing of the past & 2014 can provide positive trial results for THLD shareholders after a quiet 2013. GLTA !
For all of those retail investors who invest off of blogs like SeekingAlpha---they should be almost done booking their losses for 2013 & moving on---creating a much cleaner slate for THLD in '14.There has also been professionals who have closed out their positions so they are gone as well.
I need some of your weed ! airline stocks are right up there with pharma stocks---Buy & Hold !
because people are chart readers & it flashed a BUY off of yesterday's close. look for additional follow through off the Fibonacci charts. $27.29 by Friday.
stay on the methadone & don't worry about too many things old-timer. you can rattle on about MM but it only gets your blood pressure to rise. chill out & watch your soap operas---you'll feel better.
Poor little rookie...so sad ! Grasping at straws as we've seen a great bull market in biotech & lots of other sectors. Will mommie let you sell Dendreon at a loss or make you hold it as a good learning lesson ?? PCYC.....ooops.....you missed that ! Sorry !! YOU certainly can't win them all....or seemingly get any of them right ! I'm pleased that even though THLD did not perform in 2013 (massive insider selling, sloppy trial designs, marginally inept mgmt.) that 2014 can DOUBLE the stock ---as it sneaks up on a few people. THLD is not a bad back-end-spec-part-of-the-portfolio stock on the GAMBLE that mgmt. possibly has a shot at making something + happen. Unfortunately 2013 has been disappointing but THANK GOD it's not a big deal that THLD can maybe catch a break in 2014.
Rookie---please don't jinx the stock ! keep posting your innocuous press releases & periodic hopes for whatever crazy things you keep guessing at ! Happy holidays to all
Little rook you may not have noticed but THLD has almost $100 mil in cash & no debt. Please do your homework before your poopie diaper explodes. Just because THLD has underperformed dramatically doesn't mean you always have to have a snippy fit. So you don't know much about successful investing ? At least you can post all day & night on everything THLD---- that has to be some consolation, right ? Maybe mommie can get you started on a good mutual fund or EFT so you have SOMETHING that maybe can go up & maybe make you a little less cranky.
Shorts have covered their position, booked their profits & moved on to other plays. Stock has been cut from $8 to $4+. Can't see any reason a short seller would have much interest in THLD at these levels---shorts have other sandboxes to play in. Is that FAR TOO COMPLICATED for little rookie ? Sure sounds like it ! Its a pleasure having pikers like you getting filleted regularly in the markets---plus it brings out all kinds of asinine commentary which is a HOOT to read ! Dendreon.....that was a good one !
Hey rookie----put down the ice cream---you're tiny little brain is locking up. Was that a ..... "pr piece" ? so you're learnin' all about the markets !! why mommie will be proud of you ! someday when you grow up maybe you can play with the big boys !! keep 'em coming little rookie....your naievete is truly refreshing !
The same story continues in '14 that propelled the airline sector to major outperformance in '13.
You consistently show tour investment inexperience. Clearly you do not understand the concept behind stock shorting or even what different investment approaches use shorting. It's crystal clear since you haven't participated in stocks that have meaningful moves---up 20-30-40% in a day. especially in biotech----where short covering has dramatically moved the price of a stock. In THLD case that will not happen as the shorts betting against a meaningful rise in the stock are no longer involved. But since you do not understand any of this it falls on the deaf ears of little rookie. The same thing took place in your favorite Dendreon----where the shorts have covered in the $2-3 range with a big win at the expense of you little pikers holding it till death. What a riot !!
Also little beach ball baby---why do you think that THLD has fared so poorly in 2013 ? Who do you want to blame that on ? Why haven't the smart institutional biotech investors been loading up this year ??? Do you want to try any kind of guess ?
Give it a shot !!
And your point is ????? Do you have trouble understanding short selling ?? There is no meaningful short position in THLD at present----which will not provide any upside push if there is anything meaningful to get the stock to rise. As noted numerous times the short sellers covered (bought shares) when THLD got cut in half----or did you miss that too ??? Get in the game, little rookie !
AAL can trade in the $30-40 share range over the next year depending on what your EPS estimates are & the P/E multiple you wish to pay for those earnings. For example, a seasoned analyst like Helane Becker of Cowen (who's been following the industry for over 30 years) is looking for $3.10/share EPS in '14 on $42 bil revs & estimates include $300 mil of the $1 billion in targeted synergies from both airlines for an operating margin of 8% with added synergies in the next year. Using a reasonable P/e of 10 gets AAL to the low $30s. If business is stronger (economic pickup in '14, stable oil prices) you can elect to give it a higher multiple on higher earnings which can get AAL to the $35-40 range. To get above that level over the next year will require more aggressive assumptions but AAL certainly is positioned to provide a favorable reward-to-risk as well as beat the market averages over the next year.
Well many seasoned investment analysts are looking for AAL to trade in the $31-39 range in '14, with Deutsche Bank on
Monday recommending with a $35 target. Many of the top tier firms who recommended LCC (but not AAMRQ) have not put out a current opinion on the new AAL. My guess is that there will be additional positive follow through comments from analysts who remain quite bullish on the sector such as Morgan Stanley & others.
Whether they add or JPM sells is not really significant to me. I realize you are trying to find "good news" wherever possible & that is not a bad thing. But too much verbal diarrhea about things that don't amount to much is over the top. Clearly you may be interested in much of the early stage science but fail to remotely realize that non-scientists & investors are trying to make heads or tails out of where THLD is in the process. You constantly make it seem like they are knocking on the door of success & dismiss anybody who wonders why that is not recognized by professional biotech investors whose livelihood is based on analyzing the investment implications of new technology---though unproven---in THLD's portfolio.
Get off your high holy horse----if that is anyway possible---and recognize that even though you may be more understanding of ALL THINGS THLD that they don't score many points in the real world of investing. It may be sad to say that such a lack of humility may be why you are such a mean distasteful person who likely has major problems with other's investment success.
Please come down off your high holy horse for once.....pretty please ? We all recognize that you have anointed yourself as the keeper of THLD commentary but its pretty obvious that you sure don't have all of the answers---not by a long shot. Loosen up your shorts a bit & try to relax.
