Just heard on the news the silver bay city council voted bent paddle products out of the municipal liquor store. Bent paddle showed up at the council meeting to protest but the decision was upheld.
I am mulling over at least a partial buy here below 3. By the time the analysts get on board this, or at least start to make it know they are buying it will be over 10$ and the new upcycle will be underway. Still lot of sell ratings on this stock.
If there is any fool out there that still believes dayton is for polymet or mining in general you need to take a look at the mesdabi daily news website and go to the editorial by 86 year old former state representative joe begich, the godfather of iron range politics and still heavily influential and read what he has to say about the latest decision by dayton on twin metals and his attitude toward all mining in general. Boy i just cant wait to see the union endorsements that should be coming out for this falls election soon.
Sure hope were not looking at that kind of time frame to take some profits. If your paper wealth was real you can bet the government would tax it so you have nothing until you sell.
But laughable at the same time. Now we have to have another big meeting at the school before they can even start the permit process. What now another suggestion box for the whack jobs to fill up. I thought they had the go ahead to apply for permits. Aren't we overdue for another open house and tours as well? April 19 i guess so you know its dead money for at least another month. A pre application hearing its being called.
Pre application meeting? What in gods name for. I thought they were ready to apply. This is an absolute joke. People have to go there and listen to all the wack jobs complain again. Please purge this country of all incumbent elected officials right down to local animal control officer if you ever want this country back.
Unemployed or have a job where they can loaf on this board all day. Its just rumors going around but i have also heard talk that if the commodities they will mine are too low the permits could be sat on for awhile till market conditions improve. I have no idea if we are close to these prices in these metals or not, but how many gold and coal mines have closed due to commodity prices. No one mines for too long if their operation loses money. I have also heard that there may never be an actual polymet, as soon as they get the dirty work behind them as far as permits, they will be bought out.
You should know this stock enough by now that with this cyclical industry the time for the price to react to Q1 is long past, worry about the second half of the year and next year.
Goofy hasnt even seen their final proposal yet and he is against it, if twin metals takes anything as long as polymet he will be long gone out of office, and i will be too old to worry about investing in it.
I have heard things like earnings and dividends this week. Reminds me of the beer commercial where the coach is yelling "playoffs" no ones talking playoffs. Earnings! "Dividends! Pipe dreams, there could be negative earnings for years even after mining due to debt and startup costs, doesnt mean stock couldnt go up though.
Another area thats been a bastion of liberalism, just keep going into the voting booth and select the big "D" over and over and over and over.
Just saw it on the 10 oclock news. Heart stopped, thought it was going to be about polymet. He told twin metals officials he wont let them mine near boundary waters and state will not renew some leases. I said it before to all the dayton believers and apologists on this board, WATCH THIS GUY, hes not seeking reelection.
That is the word locally this weekend that dayton still gets to decide and he hasnt, so enthusiasm has already been tempered just a bit, tv news has not picked up on this yet as they still believe things are going to start rolling in a few months. I heard from a guy that has more shares than me and talks to more people yesterday that talk of construction beginning is 2018. Thats a full year further than anything i heard so far if this is true. The purpose for this timeline would be to get all the necessary permits and to answer to any wacko lawsuits that come along the way. So we had good news but it was just another step of more to go. Plm long term hold to pay your nursing home bills.
Absolutely wrong, fundamentals and p.e. do not set the price of a stock. Its worth what anybody is willing to pay for it. No different than a chunk of gold.
About the same odds as you have of paying off the national debt. If your one of these that have bought this stock for your children then maybe some day they get something. Not in near future.
Could be because they have been stressing during the conference that there are still a lot of permits that need to be applied for and they are still talking up a rather large time line.
