Peterbilt recently introduced its Model 579 and 576 in liquefied natural gas powered configurations, expanding the company’s lineup of natural gas vehicles. Production is scheduled to begin in June.
“We offer a natural gas truck option for nearly every application, and we’re pleased to offer our flagship aerodynamic Model 579 and vocational Model 567 in an LNG configuration,” said Robert Woodall, Peterbilt assistant general manager of sales and marketing.
After production began on compressed natural gas versions of the Model 579 and 576 last year, Peterbilt said there was a healthy market for the green vehicles. The success prompted the company to produce LNG versions to give customers more choices and flexibility.
The Model 579 and 576 LNG configurations are available as daycabs.
Both are powered by the Cummins-Westport ISX12 G with up to 400 horsepower and 1,450 lb.-ft. of torque.
Great opportunity to purchase more as the lawsuits press the weak hands. Fundamentally speaking this company as the year progresses will unlock value as operating profits hit 15% of a low estimate of 185 M in revenue. Smart money ignores the static.
I'm sure if Pete decides to retire the company will survive just fine as we are all replaceable. With the insiders having a lions share its hard to believe they will give up the full potential to a value play..
With years of investigation and minimal fines IF applicable doesn't change the underlining story.
EPS from about 5c FY2014 to a conservative 27c FY 2015 and with no debt speaks loudly.
I also increased my position resulting from the Friday sell off. I don't expect the current share price will remain a bargain for much longer,
