This market does not see to care right now about upgrades, it only cares about downgrades.
Regardless of what Iger says about Greenfield's childish rants, the market does not agree. End of story!
We did it! Keep up the good work!
I don't expect China to be that significant. The Star Wars story is not well known in China. The numbers could have been better given the population there.
No, actually he is right and you are wrong. It is not a real loss until you sell because the price can go back up if you are patient enough. It all depends on whether you have the time span greater than a gnat. Anything that goes up or down in your account is only 'empty air' because the profit or loss is realized only when you close the position. Therefore, he is right. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.
Star Wars is and was priced into the stock price, which is why the price has been slowly going down since the release of Star Wars. Also, I believe the ESPN revenue is more significant than Star Wars revenue, which is what the stock price is trying to tell you. Put your hidden agendas aside and read the tea leaves. Disney stock price will perhaps go up a bit as we approach earnings release, but this depends if the ESPN issue has been stabilized. This issue is more significant than worldwide box numbers for Star Wars. Sorry no more gravy near term for a while.
Sorry, but do not agree. It may get a nomination for special effects, or makeup, but winning Best Picture, no way. Popularity at the box office does not equate with cinematic creativity or originality which is what is needed to win Best Picture.
You must have the time span of a moth. Making an evaluation based on 7 days indicates that you are obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer. LOL
This may come as a huge surprise to you, but no one cares about your opinion because k'ching k'ching is king and this is on the road to becoming the biggest movie of all time. K'ching!
Blah, blah, blah...as long as it makes money, that is what is important!
Star Wars will not move the price much in a sustainable way near term.
How about it shooting first in a neighbourhood not too far away with a price that stops falling and keeps climbing (in my honest opinion, of course).
