Any company that gets even through gate number 1 with Hep C as treatment will be on fire, Hep C is easy to get and no cure and usually ends in cirrhosis and liver cancer. It is a HUGE problem here in US and all over the your bets. ABBV hast he advantage in many respects, as a drug company it already has standard of care drugs. I dread every time I have a body fluid exposure at work...over hep c, I worrry little about Ebola...hep C scares me I buy ABBV on dips, and continue to add....was nice it is now seperate from ABT so is a pure play on drugs. Good luck all

  • With a diseae that has a 50% + mortality rate, hospitals and physiicans will be force to try " anything", which drug, which company, I have no idea. And NO insurance company will win the figtht of not "proven", the really question is which company , which therapy? I will look into what my ID docs think is has the the most poetntial hera nd repost. This is a big deal. No family , nor physisian is going to not going to say : supportive care only" when there are meds that may or may mot make a difference. This reminds of the HIV in the 1980s. While we have not develped a vaccine, people now live for DECADES with HIV when back in the 1980s, it was essentailly a death sentence. I watched them die every day with meds, patients with HIV live for DECADES....Ebola is very much like HIV bak then. Who and what drug(s) will offer a patient a better chance than supportive care is uncertain at this point. But it is early . This is a chance of a lifetime to make (or lose) a retirement . I think Ebola is te chance of a lifetime to make or lose a lot of money.....IF a drug shows increased survival,, it will be standard of care to offer it. A vaccine would great longer term, so acute treatment and vaccine are 2 areas to watch . Is a public and human issue. One of those issues that transcends "finances"...We all win if we are ahead of others ..on both acute treatment and long erm issue of a vaccine...even if vacine is only say...50% will become the standard of care....
This is a chance of a lifetime, financially and humane ....
I wish I had enough to just invest in all companies in this area...maybe investing with a stop limit sell order is the way to play it...I dont know...I do know this issue is not going away and whoever wins in this battle , willl make risk takers rich...and wrong choice make one poor.. Ebola has been around for awhile. The implications of it crossing into other countries in HUGE ..a world that is now a global ecoomy
