MU has about 7-300 mm fabs producing NAND & DRAM (including mobile DRAM) , 1- 200 MM fab producing NOR. And 2-300 NAND 300MM fabs in a joint Venture with INTEL, IM Flash. As 3D NAND accelerates, I'm guessing MU will probably convert a DRAM plant to 3D NAND PC DRAM continues to sink . Toshiba/SanDisk share 2 or 3 NAND fabs and they were bought out for $19 Billion. There is no comparison, MU is easily worth more than SanDisk. San Disk is not producing 3D NAND while MU is coming out with product this month. This does not even take into account the value of 3D X Point. The Market is overreacting to the downside as usual.
Why is Samsung making new products using Planar NAND? Why not use 3D NAND? I guess Samsung's 3D NAND is too expensive. Samsung is getting desperate. Micron's 3D NAND will cost 25% less than Planar NAND.
