Anyone know what's happening with the Verizon/RedBox streaming venture?
I forget what CoinStar changed their name to & am too lazy to read up on it right now.
It seems like the 2 deals would conflict with each other.
Either way; it's just like the display deals where Corning wins no matter who dominates...
Geography, geology, data distribution blah, blah, blah...
We get it; your a freakin genius now get over yourself.
I wet my beak in Oct 2012 & bought on the dips until Sep 2013
Hooray for me!
I'm not in it for any takeover nonsense & hope Frosty doesn't shove OPKO down our throats.
I wanna see Soros engineer an elaborately structured spinoff of branded where we are issued a confusing mess of cash, shares & warrants.
I'd do my best to unravel the mess & give it a value & wait for the fire sale that ensued in the warrants.
(Just dreamin' here - not trying to start rumors...)
Agreed; I'd hate to see TEVA waste our money on that mess.
On a different note:
It seems to me that generics & branded pharma are so different that they simply must be managed using different biz models.
I think it's time to unlock some value by spinning off branded pharma.
Generics & branded could then both get their houses in order.
Generics could pursue a few acquisitions to scale up some more (scale is IMO the most important competitve advantage in generics.)
Branded could concentrate on developing novel therapies (duh...)
I couldn't possible agree more!
Unfortunately the repetitive ranting will not be stopped by reasoning...
They destroyed LLY in the diabetes care market but I want a margin of safety mainly due to Express Scripts removing NVO insulin products from their formulary.
That coupled with highly competitive offerings from Sanofi & the possible resurgence of Eli in this market &&& dare I say it Mannkind's stab at oral insulin therapy (I'm just saying...)
I'm a buyer around $30 but at present levels there's too much downside if any of the aforementioned get some positive press & cause a stampede to the exits.
That being said I would "LOVE NVO long time " just not at these levels...
Was commenting on the underpants guys unbelievable caterwauling which was apparently preceded by incredibly ignorant short term lack-of-thought-process.
I'm long a tiny 200 shares at $65 & change & would double up if it went to that level again (direct purchase of another 200 & short some sub $65 puts & be happy with keeping the premium or getting assigned.)
I believe they will help reduce pharmaceutical costs & improve outcomes for end users & scrape togeather a buck or two of FCF with their asset light biz modelin the process; which makes this a 10 year hold for me & not a quick in/out (I don't day trade...)
Not here to seek confirmation of my opinion of ESRX.
I'd LOVE to hear your take on why ESRX has such a stranglehold on PBM (WAG bent a knee to them & yet CVS seems to thrive I guess due to their acquisition of CareMark.)
Is it their software/management/data systems?
Is it their relationships with payers & big pharma?
Is there big growth potential in mail order?
Will the MO formulary be widened to include more offerings?
What's to stop Catamaran or CVS or anyone else from getting in ESRX's fruityloomies?
What's up with these mailers & TV ads I've been seeing for low cost drug providers (they don't appear to be offerings by the aforementioned PBM's...)
Give me a good bear case!
I ran a boat in the Gulf of Suez for 2 years & came to the conclusion that the only things the Egyptians ever got right were cotton sheets, camel doo & poverty...
True enough about history being a poor prognosticational tool.
Also true about people who compare fascist dictators being tools.
Go analyze a toaster or something...
Your wish is my command PANTLOAD!
Just tired of wasting keystrokes on a lier/loser pantload like you.
Your reaction (you're unable to respond & undoubtedly don't understand the difference between reacting & responding) will not be read by me as UR blocked LOSER hahahahahahahahahahaha...
There are a few individuals on this forum who seek only confirmation bias.
Attempts to reason should be deferred in favor of talking to a tree (the tree will respond by growing...)
I think I heard that last bit on an old Kung #$%$ episode!
I'll bet you can't even tell me what Express Scripts does to make money...
You spend a week researching the purchase of a $50 toaster but only take a minute to decide where to put your hard earned retirement savings (that is not investing...)
Save yourself some money & go buy another toaster!
You are either on the wrong board or are woefully ignorant about Express Scripts.
I'm leaning towards the latter...
